The front porch has closed for good. There is a nice sign on the door saying the ex-​owner is tired and ready to do nothing after quite a long time. We never got a chance to dine there but I thought knowing if closed would be helpful.

Cute shop and great service, however I wish they had more of a selection for food choices.
The Pecan Pie cookie they had that day was to die for!

This was some mighty fine BBQ right here, y’all. It’s no frills (we’re talking your ‘que and chips in a basket here) yet you’re right on the square with seating on a quaint Southern porch that’ll leave you feeling like you’re straight out of Gone with the Wind… only with sauce dripping down each arm and your clothes aren’t made out of curtains.
Was super pleased and always look forward to coming back through here on trips to Helen or even to Dawsonville just south of Dahlonega — it’s worth it to drive a little north to pick up some of this stuff!
