We stayed two nights this weekend, Labor Day weekend. This place is secluded, but still close to downtown Dahlonega. We stayed in Room 12, in the cabin away from the main lodge. It was a very spacious and EXTREMELY clean room, with its own deck… a very peaceful place. Paul, the innkeeper, is very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic. I read some iffy reviews about this place, and the breakfast, on other sites, but I have no idea why they had the experience they did. The dishes were fresh, full of flavor, and delicious — and we are pretty discerning. It’s nothing super fancy, but cooked very well and presented in a professional manner. The lodge has some public areas with a library, game room, and TV area. It’s quiet, so we weren’t bothered when playing games in the loft. Paul makes an effort with the guests and is friendly, but professional. I would definitely recommend this place and personally stay here, again.
