Super 8 Dahlonega

this is one of only 3 hotels in town. this is by far the worst of them. And they still get away with charging $ 113 a night which is so ridiculous. as you can see, every review here is negative. Book your hotel at Holiday Inn in dahlonega if you can. Avoid at all costs

We were staying in Dahlonega for a wedding & unfortunately all other hotels were booked. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Let me count the ways…
The worst part was that we were given a smoking room. We were told there were no non-​smoking rooms left & since we booked online, it prompted a smoking room. Although while I was booking the room online I never saw an option for smoking or non. We were given a can of Febreeze. After trying for an hour to air the room out, with no success at all, we got ready for the wedding. The shower had hair in it that wasn’t ours. The shower curtain was molded. There was a repaired spot where someone stapled the wallpaper over a hole in the wall. There were spider webs in every corner that were covered in dust. This was all just in the tiny bathroom… (no wonder the spiders evacuated.) By the time we arrived at the wedding, we both smelled like ashtrays.
Sleeping in the room made us both sick. And when we left the next morning, all of our clothes, suitcases & everything that entered that room smelled like smoke. So we drove home for 6 hours with sore throats, runny noses, & still smelling like ashtrays. I only paid $ 60 to stay here & it was not even close to being worth it. Please do not stay here. Ever.

woke up at 1am to a rainstorm… inside my hotel room. ceiling stains show it was that way for quite a while. Also, the front desk forgot about my wake up call i asked them for. terrible hotel.

I wouldn’t even give one star on this hotel. Carpet felt damp and sticky. Smell of musk odor overwhelms you when you walk in. Door barely opens without pushing all your weight against it. Bed sheets are stained yellow. Pillows are flat are hard like a board. Pool is grown over by weeds. AC never cooled off the room. The bathroom door didn’t shut so don’t plan on taking a shower or using the bathroom in privacy. The toilet was unsteady and when you sat on it, it would rock back and forth. Terrible! Go to quality inn down the road!
