The Dailey Grill is located in the historic Dailey Trade Center, a stone building that was the center of the Tygart Valley Homesteads, a New Deal employment community. The history of this community is fascinating. There is a lot of community pride from people who grew up in Dailey and you will more than likely find someone willing to talk to you about it if you stop by the Dailey Grill. The space has contained a restaurant, albeit under various names and owners, continuously since it was built in the 1930s. There are photos throughout the restaurant of the buildings and families who were part of the homestead. The menu is diner food(soup, beans, meatloaf, reubens, grilled chicken, sandwiches, dinner specials, etc.) at great prices. Definitely a great place to stop if you are in the area or passing through. It is about 10.5 miles south of Elkins on Route 219.
