Accent Optical

Writing this solely about the customer service. I live just one block down from Accent Optical therefore, I pass by it all the time. Last week I was home sick with a cold and fell asleep with my glasses on. I woke up to find the right arm completely separated from the rest of the frame. I took a chance and walked over to Accent and asked the first employee if she could help me. I wear Chanel frames and a lot of optical retailers in the past have sent me away saying they won’t touch them? So when she said «let me try» I was beyond grateful already. She worked on my glasses for less than 10 minutes and made sure they were comfortable on my face. On top of the speed and friendliness she DIDN’T CHARGE ME A DIME! I am extremely impressed with Accent Optical! Thank you again!

Lenses were NOT the quality I ordered and paid for. Staff kept insisting they were. I went back at least four times with a sore nose and aching ears and complaints about the look and weight of the lenses compared to my other similar shape and size glasses. Accent Optical had all sorts of excuses for the not-​so-​hot look and fit… none of which were truthful.
I finally gave up and stopped wearing the $ 750 AFTER INSURANCE glasses I purchased from Accent Optical.
The lenses were heavy and pop-​bottlesque. I have many similar pairs of glasses, none of them look as terribly thick or are as heavy and uncomfortable as the pair Dr. Diane produced.
Dr. Diane Mosbacher finally offered to «make things right» this year when I called her after the subsequent doctor I visited confirmed my suspicion — Accent Optical used a lower grade lens than what they charged me for. Unfortunately, Dr. Mosbacher’s idea of «making things right» consisted of wanting me to use my insurance for the «make-​good.»
I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 4-​years-​old. This is the first duplicitous eye doctor I’ve encountered.
Shame on this shady lady. She lost not only my annual business, but also my respect. Buyer beware. Based on previous reviews, some people are happy with her work. Maybe they only do this kind of thing to every 10^th customer or so – make sure it’s not you.
Addendum: LOL! Pain? I’m not going to fall for that again! (Your apology and offer-​that-​is-​not-​really-​an-​offer as posted below.) You already told me on the phone once that you would make it right (sigh.see my remarks above) — so I drove through downtown traffic, paid to park, came into the office, and you offered to replace the crappy sub-​par lens *using my health insurance* and with my co-​pay! That is not «making things right.» That is *using my insurance and co-​pay to cover your tracks*. Too late now, I’ve chalked it up to experience, purchased new glases elsewhere, and am only here to warn others to **make sure you deliver the type of lens materials they order and pay for rather than a cheaper material.** Sadly, I’m out about $ 750 on this farce, not to mention wrat my insurance paid. Problem is – you need to speak up right away.
Note to customers: Do not let the staff here keep shining you on until it is too late for your insurance to do anything and until the warranty is up. I trusted that they were telling the truth and never questioned whether they may have delivered cheaper lenses than what I paid for. That prospect was just not something I expected from what looked like, at least from the outside, a quality business.

This is an excellent optical with a very knowledgeable optometrist! Nice convenient location with metered parking on the street or validation at the adolphus parking garage.

Dr. Diane Mosbacher is a supremely professional doctor who managers to keep the personal touch. I’ve been a patient there for years, even after I lost my vision insurance I was surprised at how affordable it is. All the original staff there remembers me every time, even though I only go once every 16 months or so, right down to asking me about a bike accident I had several years ago. I’ve noticed some of her front desk staff has been there for several years– bonus because they are so conversational with me, and because it speaks to job satisfaction. I think they’re honest. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because I’ve had small issue getting to a rechck appointment due to my unpredictable work schedule, and I’ve been a little disappointed they couldn’t squeeze me in on short notice. But even I’ll admit that’s not a very fair expectation. I plan to continue seeing Dr. Mosbacher for as long as I live in Dallas.

Was in downtown and getting an eye exam plus frames was on my to do list. walked by this store while my boyfriend was on the job. They told me they could get me in right away. Very clean and nice looking store. Huge variety of frames. Everyone there was extremely nice.

I had a fantastic experience at Accent Optical! If I could leave 6 stars, I would. The staff is extremely professional and welcoming. I felt like I was having experts help me through the whole process. Dr Mosbacher is very personable and experienced. I’m sure everyone could find great frames in their large and fashionable selection. I absolutely recommend Accent Optical to everyone! A perfect review from a very satisfied patient :)

The selection of glasses at Accent Optical is phenomenal! They have beautiful, unique, artsy frames, as well as frames that are more simple yet elegant. Their glasses feel like more of an accessory than a necessity. I also ordered contacts from them, just in case, and both my glasses and contacts arrived VERY fast. Dr. Diane is very friendly and thorough, and the staff are incredibly helpful. They literally picked off of the shelf all 20+ frames that they thought would fit my needs based on what I was looking for, and gave me a chance to try all of them on. I highly recommend this optical clinic. Wonderful experience!
