You know how they say pizza is like sex, even when it’s bad it’s still pretty good. Not true, this pizza was like being repeatedly raped by a rhinoceros, orally and anally. I ordered their lunch special, Sicilian meat pizza, a salad and a drink. The salad was basically a ranch dressing and iceberg lettuce soup… which was the highlight of the meal, unfortunately. The Sicilian pizza was an 8″ square pizza of what appeared to be very thick Pizza Hut pan pizza dough with some sauce and toppings lazily slopped on. Cheap little pieces of dog food looking sausage, thin pepperoni and cheese some plastic cheese. Best part? It was all still cold in the middle. Then came the aftermath. Let’s just say it was painful and I’m glad I travel with baby wipes.

This is pretty much my neighborhood pizza choice. There are a couple other options for pizza in the area, but I like their pizza the best. Typically I will get a cheese pizza to share and that will suffice. It’s greasy, but it’s good pizza. I have tried some of the other foods — salad, garlic bread, garlic knots, calzone, etc. — but they aren’t the reason I come here. Actually, I didn’t like the pepperoni calzone at all because it was 2⁄3 ricotta cheese. If you want Stromboli, sandwiches, and other foods, go elsewhere. If you want pizza, come here. My suggestion is to call the pizza in ahead of time and then pick it up on your way home. The service in the restaurant is not very attentive so your best bet is to eat it at home.

I love their Stromboli’s they are filled with lots of great cheese and lots of meat, the sauce is home made and awesome.

Horrible pizza and pasta. Tried a second time only because of some good reviews on here. I don’t get it.

Good pizza, very consistent. An XL pizza will run about $ 16, and one and a half or two slices is good for a meal. That usually boils down to four sittings for my girlfriend and me, so pretty decent value.

Pizza is ok… service is horrible from the owner. She talked bad enough that we won’t be back.

Working in the area so for lunch I decided to give Al’s a try. Well the first sign should have been the place was empty. So I order a slice of cheese pizza. Not good at all was very old they threw so fresh cheese on top to try and make it look good. Nice try didn’t work. Not going back 7⁄11 hotdog would have been better then dry ass old pizza.

My hubby and I were in these neck of the woods on Friday night. We were headed to the Rangers game and we’re looking for a more affordable dinner options. Al’s pizza was certainly a more affordable option. We ordered a small, pepperoni pizza and an order of garlic cheese bread to share. The garlic bread came out first and lacked cheese. When you order cheese bread, you expect to see the appetizer drenched in cheese and garlicky goodness. The garlic was there, but the cheese was very light. The bread came with a small container of marinara to dip. It was decent, but I probably would not order it again. Our pizza came out a few moments later and was much larger than I had anticipated. It felt more like a medium/large. It was sliced in six slices and I could only eat two slices. The crust was rather doughy, and I wondered if the crust was cooked all the way through in the middle of the pizza. It was thicker and had a chew to it. I had to dump some Parmesan cheese on top to add some flavor, which I think was lacking like the cheese on the cheese bread. For a small pizza, an order of cheese bread and two cups for water, our dinner cost a little over $ 12. Not bad. But for the food, I think we can find a better pizza place in the metroplex. Cute little place, though.

I ordered a large sicilian pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms and the Italian sausage with cheese. The toppings on the pizza could have been a little more plentiful, but other than that it was very good, and the sub sandwich was delicious. I will definitely order from Al’s Pizzeria again.

Not the same Al’s from the old days. The Pizza and Pasta were fron Sysco Wholesale. Generic with no taste. Way over priced. No choices in crust. Better off going to Pizza Hut or Pizza Inn. Salad was head lettuce that ill tell you a lot. Nothing orginal or special here. No charater here. Avoid!

Al’s use to be a great place to go and grab a good meal and the restaurant always had people lined up out the door. I haven’t been here for years and now that I work back in the area again I was excited to try it. I’m sad to say, that I won’t be back again. The pizza was Blah and the Philly cheesesteak was a joke. I could get a better sandwich and pizza at 7/11, for a lot less. They really lost their way on the quality of their food. There are so many other places to go for lunch… Good-Bye Al’s Pizza.

Not too bad. Take the place for what it is worth — instant italian food. Had the baked ziti and it was not the best but fixed a craving. Salad was pretty horrific — not quite sure why they classify it as a salad. Staff was friendly.

At work and the bossman ordered three larges pizzas for our meeting: supreme, cheese, and white. Pros: The slices are indeed huge and the cheese pizza was probably the better of the three. The crust is thin but it still has a bit of a chew to it, which is nice. It doesn’t feel like you’re eating straight cardboard with cheese. Tomato sauce was great and the pizza was ready for pickup in about 15 mins. All of the toppings for the supreme tasted fresh. Cons: The white pizza had little flavor. It didn’t taste like much to me. I acutally can’t even recall what it even tasted like. We also asked for jalepenos on the supreme and there were none. wahhhhhh!

This place is the bommmmmmb!!! Pizza is to die for and so is their checked Alfredo. Feels like a lil restaurant but with a «Togo» turnaround time. Definitely the best for sauce and goodness in a bowl and on a crust. Bathrooms and restaurant is suuuuper clean. Price is worth the food.

This is my weekly(sometimes twice weekly) Italian fix. Mmmmmm mmmmmm, I’m a from scratch cook, and I make my own sauces, but I will put my pan down any day for their culinary excellence. A true Dallas institution I’m proud to patron. If you remember the food from the previous location, then run as fast as you can because Al’s is back baby!!!

I’ve had pickup dinners here several times. Everything I have had has been good. I’ve never had their pizza(bad of me, I know). The lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs are definitely good.

I quit visiting the old location because it was so nasty dirty and run down and now they have reopened. I visited the new locale today and it was nice to see the same faces in a new cleaner place. The lunch special was a fair price, the salad was crisp and fresh and the pizza was not greasy like so many places do. However, it did not have much cheese on it al all. The crust was a nice chew and not too thick but lacked a little flavor. I will probably order something other than pizza next visit. Kudos to them for reopening after the evil Wal Mart had everybody kicked off the corner to expand their crappy empire.

Al’s Pizzeria has been around since the early 80’s if not longer! It was a right of passage for anyone who lived in the Dallas Love Fields/Bachman Lake area. It was displaced over a year ago because of Walmart. But now it is coming back! They have the tastiest pizza and calzones I have ever tasted! I can’t wait for them to reopen(Ignore the date listed). They have the new sign up and the windows are covered waiting for the big reveal. I couldn’t see a sign for the opening date but it is soon. I do know they applied for a liquor license so we will be bale to get our drink on while devouring awesome food! I don’t know about y’al but I am bouncing off the walls Tigger-Style with excitement!
