I’ve been here for concerts and sports matches. All have been very fun and pretty well priced. Some events are kinda pricey (naturally) but it’s a pretty great arena with a wide variety of seating options and concessions.
During the last Mavs game I went to, I tried out the mini pizzas and the buffalo chicken tenders from the concession by section 120 and it was pretty great. The pizza was from Pizza Hut so it’s standard fare but the wings were from some local vendor who setup shop inside the AAC.
Last year I attended the Bocelli concert and from our seats you could hear everything and had a great view of the stage. The acoustics are phenomenal and I think you can hear any concert pretty decently throughout the building.
I highly recommend taking public transit because parking is a little pricey but if you do pay for the premo parking it’s pretty great as its a 3 – 5 walk from the doors.

It’s an awesome event center!
Everything is well labeled and the colosseum is well designed so that no matter where I sit I can see the court/​arena/​stage.
I’ve been coming here for 16 years and I have never been disappointed with my experience!

So me and the family decided to take in a hockey game to see if our MN Wild could dispose of the (previously named Minnesota North) Stars.
To our delight the WILD won and we had a great night. The AAC is definitely average to above average and the first sign of how nice a large venue, or restaurant, is is to check the bathrooms. If the restrooms are well taken care of and clean it shows that they give a $hit which is VERY important. If things are dirty, all bets are off.
For hockey games I would come back and sit anywhere as the few times I have been the seats are all good. For other concerts/​activities, I have no idea.

Watched a concert from the suite seats and it was awesome! Was very close to stage still and had room to move around. Inside the venue was beautiful!

Attended the MAVS vs. KINGS with some friends and we were living the «suite life» :) We parked in the Lexus Platinum Garage which was directly across the street from the building (very convenient and easy access). I can’t comment on how much food or drinks would cost, since everything was free for us. Might I add, there were TWO OT’s and Mavs came in clutch with 1.1 second left in the game… best believe the crowd went WILD.

Great pro sports arena! Home to the Dallas Stars and Mavericks. Whether coming for a game or an event (everything from wrestling to concerts) there isn’t a bad seat in the house… unless that giant head of the gentlemen in front of you gets in the way!
Surprisingly decent prices on food for an arena, you can even manage to grab a bite to eat. Not a surprise, the drinks are quite pricey!
There is a fair bit of parking around but it will cost 10 – 25 dollars depending on the location. It’s also located at the very end of the Katy Trail for anyone living alongside the trail its an easy commute (#gogreen). There is also a light rail and monorail station nearby to help you reduce your carbon footprint or have a safe ride home after spending $ 10 on each beverage you consume.

Great venue! Easy to find your section no matter where it is. Clean bathrooms and plenty of stuff to do while waiting on events to start.
Easy to get to parking. Feels safe.

You really cannot go wrong here. For sporting events even the very top level seats are great, there is a good selection of food and tons of beer on all levels and the ushers are knowledgeable and friendly and will direct you where you need to go.
My only problem– big problem– is the high cost of parking; $ 25 is more than tickets in some cases. I definitely recommend looking up locations of discounted lot parking before you head out to your event. Save some $$ for the $ 9 beers, $ 12 margaritas, or other overpriced refreshments inside ;)

If you’re a Maverick fan, Dallas Stars Fan, WWE Fan, Dallas Wing Fan, or just enjoyer of special events or musicals then this is the place for you. It has a variety of different faces depending on the season but most notably it is the home of our Dallas Mavericks the best team in the NBA!!! Every time I come to this place I get the pleasure of cheering for the home team and going crazy when they get the win in our city. There are awesome watch parties here when they play away from home and the people here are kind enough to let fans come in and watch and all be supportive of the team. The food is decently priced as expected at any major sporting event, the fans are crazy but hey that’s part of being a MFFL!!! If you’re ever in our city I highly recommend coming out to catch a game and enjoying your time. Parking can be a little sketchy because it’s a high traffic area but if you have the 15 – 20 $ to spend then you can secure a close spot and it’s off to the shows!

This is a great arena for sports watching and people, watching too. Grabbed some courtsides to the Mavs game and was treated to an OKC Thunder back and forth with Santana sitting right down the way as well.
Energy is awesome and cannot wait to see the Stars play in the facility as well. We followed them years back in the old building when they won the Cup with Modano and Hull.
The Lexus Club buffet rocks as well. Great food and really good coffee to end the meal and give the zing to head to your seats for the game.
Certainly a return place for me and as a matter of fact, tonight for the Hawks vs. Mavs game.

American Airlines is a great venue for watching sports. I come here a lot to watch the Stars. Even seat has a good view of the game. Lots of dining and drink options. Everything is new and clean. I really enjoy watching games here.
It’s also conveniently located with lots of parking options close by. And traffic is never horrendous getting out after the game.

Saw Garth Brooks here and it was a great show. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of concessions. One of the best things was the seating was great! The sound was awesome and lighting was awesome. This is a great establishment to see a concert! Garth Brooks was AMAZING!!!

First time at the AAC. Came to see the Donald T. Trump for President Rally. The AAC struck me as smaller than I was expecting, but I guess that a good thing when you want to see the action. I was impressed by the number of food and drink options, though they were typical hyper-​inflated prices. Almost worth another star is the AAC’s proximity to the DART Victory Station, though it is a bit of a walk (0.1 miles). Oh, one of the restaurants had an all you can eat special that struck me as a good deal.

My first impression of Dallas was at a Mavericks game while visiting town for an Irving convention. The very first image upon walking to my lower bowl seat was seeing #41, Dirk Nowitzki, shooting mid-​range jumpers during a shoot-​around. That was my official welcome to Dallas three years ago. Several Mavericks games and events later, the AAC still looks just as good inside & out from the first time I ever got acquainted with her. For the summer of 2015, it was for the MegaFest (Potter’s House).
Clean and cavernous inside, brown brick and lively on the outside. I’ve never had an issue with getting a parking space (usually between $ 15 – 20, depending on where you park + the event), and its not a terrible distance to walk from the lot into the arena (unlike AT&T stadium). Also, DART is available, and its a preferred option if you aren’t already in the downtown area, particularly if you are traveling from Tarrant County, like myself.
The arena has 4 noticeable tiers to it, and in my opinion, the seating is quite good. I usually sit on the first level for sporting events, yet was on the second level for this one. Quite a good view, and the seating was plush. Plenty of high-​definition screens for NBA games and other events, and the arena surround sound system is phenomenal. Best acoustics in an arena, possibly second to the Amway Center in Orlando.
Altogether, one of my favorite venues in all of Texas.

Liked how there were bars and restaurants right in front of the arena. Also like how there is a huge TV screen right in front so fans can watch the game from the outside.

My friends and I came for Imagine Dragon’s concert and we got free front row seats!
We originally bought level 3 tickets all the way at the top, but after the opening band Metric performed, a manager for AAC came to our area and asked if we wanted front row seats. We got really lucky… So it was a great experience. Thanks AAC!

I’ve been to two Mavericks games at American Airlines Center, and it was fun both times even though I sat in completely different sections (lower for one and upper for one).
The first game was the Sacramento Kings @ Dallas Mavericks (11/​11/​2014,
), and the Mavs came back for a win after being down by over twenty points at the half. It was also an epic game since Dirk passed Hakeem Olajuwon to be #9 on the all time points list, which was pretty cool. We were able to get pretty awesome last minute tickets at a great price for the lower level last minute, and it was also their T-​Shirt Tuesday so we got free T-​Shirts. Also we sat behind the basket, our view wasn’t that obstructed. I had the Sriracha Fried Chicken Sandwich ($ 9?,
) which was falsely advertised– there was no Sriracha to be detected, and the sandwich wasn’t even spicy. I wouldn’t order this again.
The second game was the San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks (03/​24/​2015,
) where the Mavericks also came back from a deficit to win. This game cost considerably more since it was a rivalry game, and the Mavs were fighting for a spot in the Playoffs at that time. I think the tickets for the upper level cost around $ 65/​each. My dinner consisted of all junk food– fries (pretty solid, I would get these again), caramel, kettle, and buttered popcorn (all were good but I liked the buttered, kettle, then caramel), nachos (solid but nothing special).
The arena is still pretty new looking, the bathrooms are clean, and I didn’t see huge lines at the games I went to. My only complaint is with the food, which is mostly just ok. I wish they had the same State Fair inspired food like they do at the Rangers stadium! At least the beer selection is better.
Parking isn’t too bad– there are plenty of lots close to the arena, and I think the first time we paid $ 10-​$ 15 and walked 3 – 4 blocks. The second time we took public transportation, and that was easy too (although I went with coworkers who knew their way around). The public transportation wasn’t super crowded, and we were all able to grab seats on it. I’d definitely recommend you check out a Mavericks game at least once! I will definitely be back for additional games, and hopefully to see a Stars game at some point.

My first time at the AA Center was for the NKOTB concert on 5÷14÷15. Their lighting system rocks! Sound system is good, but the microphones where the performers sing into doesn’t sound too clear. It’s mumbo jumbo to me. Maybe it’s the performer? Not sure what the issue is there. My other complaint would have to be the small tv screen. Being in nosebleed seats didn’t help either.
No selfie sticks or camera sticks allowed. Learned that from personal experience. Asked them the reason and they said it’s a liability issue – just in case people drop it on other people’s heads or hit someone with it, or even block other people’s views. But then you can say the same thing with everything else, right? Overall, I enjoyed my first concert at the AA Center. Didn’t worry about parking so I can’t comment on that. Staff is friendly and helpful. Oh, their margaritas are a must-​try!

This place is the home of my Mavericks, the greatest and most fun sports team in Dallas (in my opinion!). I love my experiences here even if they are nosebleed seats! The atmosphere is electric and I can’t help but enjoy an overpriced light beer every time I go.
It is definitely a must see venue of Dallas. The center also hosts the Stars and various other performances.
Since it is located in walker-​friendly area, there are a couple of good restaurants nearby, such as Medina and Hard Rock Café.
