Honestly come here for the Trompo taco. Not chicken. Not Barbacoa. Not Beef. It’s in the name. It’s rotating right in the center. Don’t get anything else. DON’T get it to go. Allt he bad reviews here are about stuff other than trompo and after driving for about 30 minutes to their place. That’s ridiculous. Eat your trompo tacos there or in your car and enjoy a great cheap simple taco. Again…no chicken… no beef… Trompo.

Wonderful street Taco’s. I ordered a dozen Chorizo Egg and cheese a dozen bacon egg and cheese and a dozen potato Egg and cheese. Plus a barbacoa, chicken, and beef. All was amazing.

Fact: it’s part of a gas station. Fact: it seats about 8. Fact: there are no less then three taco murals inside. Fact: you have to pay at the gas station counter then go to the food stall area. Conclusion: if you can get over the fact it’s small and part of a gas station your in for a treat. I got the three tacos, beef and chicken. Beef was juicy and moist, chicken was a bit dry but nothing the sauce provided couldn’t handle. Also some nice onions and cooked onions provided. You can dress up the tacos pretty well, and for under 5 bucks it’s a great deal. Fresh no nonsense mexican food. Nothing special but a solid joint worth checking out.

Best trompo tacos in Dallas! Also knew of best Cuban tortas as well! Always hot and fresh food with good service too.

This is inside the Chevron and you pay at the Chevron register first, then take your receipt to the taqueria counter. Haven’t tried their other tacos, but the trompo taco is awesome! It is a proper pastor taco in that it is cooled on the upright spit, as pastor was meant to be. Delicious and open all night! Load up on trompos and salsas Verde y Rojas. On average, this is also the fastest service of any taqueria Ive been to. Fast enough to order while gassing up(the car), late enough to hit on the way home from the club, and delicious enough to think about for all hours in between.

I always get pastor de trompo but someday I’ll branch out and get the torta cubana. There are thousands of taquerias in Dallas to choose from but I come here for the pastor.

Hm. I went to Bachman this morning for breakfast tacos and was told that there’s no breakfast today. No explanation, I just walked in and ordered and he looked at me for a second and then said«no breakfast today.» Nice.

I work close to Bachman Taco. The grilled chicken sandwich is really good and the tacos are a great deal. Everything tastes fresh. This is not the best part of town though so keep your vehicle locked.

This place is WAYYYY overrated. My husband and I venture out regularly on Saturdays to try new taco stands or restaurants. Bachman tacos may be slightly disappointing for anyone who wants a clean environment. I have ate at plenty of bars, picnic tables and outside patios that were much cleaner than the inside of this taco stand. And my thinking… if it’s not clean to sit and eat… is the kitchen?! Well we gave the tacos a shot anyways since we had already driven there. I had the trompo, which is kind of their specialty, the chicken, and the carnitas. I enjoy the flavor of all three, but they are note worthy enough to drive to again. The service is a as little lacking as well, but I have come to expect a different level of service at these type of places. BUTSTILL!!! Get it together Bachman Tacos!

Great gas station tacos. You get 3 tacos with rice, beans and a fountain drink for $ 6.70 including tax. Pay at the gas station cashier.

Good dive taco shop. Cheap and tasty. Also, in a Bachman Lake area that seems to be becoming nicer and cleaner by the day. I recommend the barbacoa.

I always passed by this place, but never stopped. I saw it on an article so, I decided to try them out. The trompo tacos were good and the chicharrón(I was told) was really good, except the one I tasted was super salty. My fajita tacos didn’t have much flavor and the cilantro and onions was mostly onions. The fajita tacos were a disappointment.

Simple tacos that are so damn good. Trompo, barbacoa and carnitas. All great. Cheap, flavorful and quick. It’s nice to get in and out without having to go inside a restaurant sit and deal with waiters, etc. Trompo and carnitas are both pork, and both so good. Trompo is a bit sweeter because of the glaze they put on it, but both will make you wish you ordered more. The barbacoa(beef) was extremely tender and juicy. Order your food at the store/gas counter and then hand your receipt to the taco gods. Rinse and repeat

It’s not about the location(a seedy looking gas station) or the décor(generic cartoon taco clipart) or the pretentiousness(the lack thereof). It’s about the tacos. This isn’t a hipster foodie joint. It’s just really good people making really good food. ===Trompo Taco=== Two grilled corn tortillas are slapped up against the spit-grilled vertical meat log. The cut meat is one part charred and one part moist. There’s lime, onions, and a grilled jalapeño to dress the taco, but take the first bite plain to get the full flavor. The Ironman 1 of tacos: you know it’s going to be good and it delivers. ===Chicharron Prensado Taco=== Don’t let the yellow color stop you from enjoying this taco. Think of it as golden pork skin with more skin, more pork, and gold seasoning. I don’t know what it is, but the seasoning just takes it above the regular chicharron taco. The Spider-man 2 of tacos: better than the original, which already set the bar pretty high. ===Tripas Taco=== It’s crispier than what I’ve had before, which is a good thing. The taste and crispiness made me forget about the slightest of slight hint of barnyardy/gamey(tm Andrew Zimmern) taste, but it’s to be expected from tripas. The Spider-man 3 of tacos: die-hard fans will like it. The other tacos(carnitas, barbacoa, etc) are every bit as good the best street tacos in town, but the above three were the ones that stood out to me the most. However, do yourself a favor when you’re at Bachman Tacos and order the other cuts of meat such as the tripas, lengua, and chicharron. You’ll be surprised at how good all the tacos are.

If you’re getting tacos, you will find great food here. If you’re getting a burger or nachos or something then keep expectations low. The chicharron prensado is fantastic. It’s yellowish, well seasoned and textured kind of like moist jerky. It’s fantastic though. The trompo tacos are really the best I’ve had in Dallas. They slap that twirling meat cylinder with a tortilla and slice strips off. There’s a nice balance of char and moist meat that’s seasoned red like a candy apple. The portion In The taco was lamentable but serviceable and the flavor still comes through. Go there and get great value tacos. Don’t limit yourself to just bistec either(steak) because the ugly cuts of meat taste great.

This place is a bit of a dive, but they have amazing tacos! Try the barbacoa and the carnitas! I’ve also had the fajita, chicken, and trompo which are good as well, but, the barbacoa and carnitas are simply amazing. The green sauce is very flavorful without being too spicy, and the onion/cilantro mix adds a nice accent to everything. It gets a little crowded at noon, so it’s best to come a little early or late, tho’ even at noon the wait was still very reasonable.

We stopped at Bachman Tacos Sunday morning in the hunt for some breakfast tacos, unfortunately they do not serve breakfast on Sundays. Bummer!!! However, the smell of the yummy goodness behind the counter was too much to pass up, so we decided to go ahead and order some of their regular tacos and add eggs when we got home(LOL). *Note* you order at the cash register for the gas station and then take your receipt back over to the grill area, give it to the worker behind the grill and then repeat your order to him for confirmation as he reads your order… printed…on the receipt… that you just handed him. *silence* whatever, if that process is efficient and works for them, let’s go! We ordered three fajita, one trompo and one barbacoa tacos; you do have the option of corn or flour tortillas, we opted for flour! Everything was VERY good! We had them put all of the tacos in one container and they filled it with cilantro and onions to top the tacos and two sauces. There was an orange sauce that I didn’t like the taste of and a green sauce that packed a nice kick and complimented the tacos greatly. I had the trompo and barbacoa and they were tender and full of flavor, soooo good! I had a bite out of Sig-O’s fajita taco and it was pretty good too! We’ll definitely be back to taste some of the other items on the menu, everything looked so good and was priced affordably as well, can’t beat that! I’m sure people will compare this place to Fuel City(since they’re both tacos… at a gas station) but they have a larger menu than just tacos and you don’t have to use cash only because you pay at the actual gas station register. Score one for Bachman Tacos!

I finally strayed from the breakfast tacos and was rewarded beyond my expectations. It just seemed to good to be true that a Mobile gas station could sling a legit street taco from a flat top on the side of the station. Well, it is so true! Check out the menu, pay at the register where you’d pay for gas and take your receipt to the nice guy who is performing magic by the tiny dine in area. I watched in glee as he cut the meat for the Trompo tacos right off the spit and served them up with corn tortillas, onion, cilantro, a grilled pepper and some hand made sauces. For a buck and some change the rewards are unbelieveable. Ssshhh, don’t tell, it’s my well kept secret. Screw the breakfast tacos, these little beauties are legit.
