I’m so sad! I was very hopeful for this place since they’re endorsed by great restaurants(Company Café) but it was just not good. It wasn’t terrible but compared to other places you can go for BBQ I would not recommend this place. The quality is not good. I’m very sad

The brisket is tough, flavorless, and what isnt tough is a chunk of fat, I can’t believe it was that bad. Slices of stale white bread came with it!!! It was shockingly bad. It was impressive that they were able to ruin BBQ with such nonchalant skill. The employees are the only bright spot. Turns out this place is owned by Company Café… they should stick to the original concept.

I loved this place. I just called them to place a to go order. «We don’t do to go orders…» Not great customer service, especially when you are feeding a household of finicky eaters that go multiple places for dinner. Disappointed.

I drive past this place often so I decided to try it and I must say I am quite disappointed! The brisket is dry and tough, it required a lot of sauce to make it palatable! The potatoes tasted good, but they have the consistency of instant potatoes. Typically, I give resturants at least two tries, but I won’t waste my money here again.

Last night I ordered a meal for delivery. The food arrived cold, and the beans were undercooked. Ordered pulled pork but received brisket.

Nice place, kind staff and the BBQ is pretty good. Glad they are in my neighborhood. Definitely worth trying. Hope they do well and continue to grow.

It looks like a good place but I must have caught it on a bad day. I’m not fond of the cheese sauce instead of traditional shredded cheese. My brisket was tough, rubbery and not full of bbq flavor. I tried the pecan tea and it was a bit much for me. I’ll try the place another time.

Not sure why they are getting bad reviews. The ribs are very good and the closest thing to Kansas City BBQ I have found. The brisket was good and not dry with really good flavor. I did not try the sides so cannot provide a review on that. Try the ribs, you won’t regret it.

I thought it was better than most Dallas chain BBQ places. The food was warm, not hot. It would have been much better served hot. The chopped beef was dry, but that happens everywhere. My boyfriend said the ribs were good. The collard greens were my favorite, so good. I wish they would have had more sauce choices. The décor was cute!

If you like real barbecue, do not go here. this I’m sad. It’s not the worst but it’s really far from the best. It’s edible but not what you expect when you see the place. The chicken is really tender and good but looks fake. The ribs were dry but still ok. The collard n mac look n taste like they came straight from a can or box.

This is hands down the worst BBQ I have ever had. The brisket was hard, dry and flavorless. The pulled pork and sausage were ok. We got the collard greens which were pretty bland, and the mashed potatoes which we were told by the cashier«were life changing» was anything but. When we got home we realized they forgot to give us the brisket and had to drive back. They gave us a serving of pecan pie for our troubles. The pecan pie was terrible. Grocery store bought pecan pie tastes better. I have been to all the BBQ places in the area and this is by far the worst. So much so that I never write Unilocal reviews and felt compelled to.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Not much traffic but gave it a go. Had the combo with pulled pork and sausage. Wanted brisket but they advised me that they didn’t do their best that day which I appreciated. Favor was great and the sides of Mac and cheddar mash were great. Would def go back.

Really tender and flavorful brisket – doesn’t need sauce, unlike most BBQ places outside of South Dallas. Try the pickled onions and treat yourself to their sweet pecan tea – it’s dessert in a plastic cup! I had fries. Wanted the collard greens, but they’re loaded with bacon and pulled pork… which I don’t eat.

Went in with a group last night. The meats were pretty much spot on. A little dry, but tasty. The sides were fairly uneventful, but they do have 12 oz can domestic beer for 2.50. Not a bad place to stop in for a quick bite and brew.

Had lunch 11⁄10 and was really impressed. The two meat with brisket and ribs was very moist & tender. The portions were good sized, I split mine with a co-worker and was perfectly satisfied. The collard greens and beans were both good. Had a taste of the bacon mashed potatoes and loved them! As far as comparisons to Dickey’s or gas station ‘cue, it’s definitely a cut above. I’m going back.

Gave this place a try after reading some of the reviews because apparently they closed down and did a complete remodel so we thought we’d try it out. Had the #1 combo(two meats, two side and a drink) it was actually pretty good. I got brisket and chicken. Brisket was a bit dry but had good flavor and the chicken was really good. My sides were bacon-cheddar mashed potatoes which were delicious and Mac and cheese which was good but was only warm so the cheese wasn’t really melted. Overall a good place for fast BBQ.

I never went prior to the re-model but saw the newly remodeled building while driving home and stopped by. Went there at night and used drive thru. Service was incredibly friendly. Got the combo(two meats, two sides, bread, and drink), which was $ 14 with tax. A little pricey for a drive thru, but thought it might be worth it. Portions were average, if a little on the small side(compared to Dickey’s, where they’re huge). Macaroni and cheese was cold and tasteless. Literally. And I love any type of man-n-cheese. Large shell pasta with what looks like processed cheese just melted over it. Chunky Potato salad fared better, but was very sweet. Needed a lot of salt to counteract. I ordered the pulled pork and brisket. Smoked flavor was fantastic on both. Very tender. Downside was they were thrown together and mixed. What didn’t help was the bbq sauce. One small serving and it was SUPER sweet. The bf will eat anything and he spit it out. Fortunately, I had some in the fridge. I would have been irritated if I didn’t because theirs was awful. The kicker was the bread. Plain white bread was fine(though with bbq, you’d prefer Texas toast), but it was two thin slices and one was the heel(see pic). It it had been sitting out so long, it was hard. Not just around the edges, but Hard all through. Back Home BBQ had potential. Good meats, friendly service. But the rest is going to need work to be able to sustain it.

They are finally open again! The place has been closed for weeks due to a(much needed) remodel of the building and the menu. As I was driving by today I noticed that they were open for business so I decided to stop by and I’m glad I did. I ordered combo order number one which is two meats, two sides, bread, and a drink. I chose the pulled pork and the ribs and I was blown away! So damn good. Juicy, fresh, and smokey would be how I could best describe it. My side dishes were the potato salad and collard greens. The collard greens were great but the potato salad was insane. Kind of sweet and lots of flavor. I’m a sucker for potato salad and I will be coming back for this one. The décor gets a big thumbs up from me. It looks much better than it did before. There are multiple TVs, a cool astro-turfed patio, and country bumpkin flare littered about the place. Apparently they have a drive thru but I have only eaten inside so I will have to check it out next time.

The absolute WORSTBBQ Brisket I have yet to have in the entire state of Texas. The brisket tasted like it was doused in liquid smoke. It was dry, rubbery and just plain sad. The BBQ sauce looked and tasted like it was out of a a cheap loss leader brand from the Family Dollar down the street, it was gelatinized, cold and didn’t deserve to be called a sauce. The bread that came with the sliced brisket was so stale they should have just used it for croutons. Stay away… unless they completely revamp their operation and learn to smoke brisket.
