Big D Cycle

so not happy with this company. my husband asked for some repairs to be done and never did they call him to let him know the repairs needed let alone the cost of a bill that totaled almost $ 2,000.00 … that we only found out when we were called that it was ready to be picked up :(

Big D is a fantastic stop for two groups of motorcyclists: (1) the general motorcycling enthusiast who wants to see the beautiful bikes of yesteryear in running shape, and (2) the rider who wants scare his neighbor with a fast, loud café racer from England.
Big D has a fine collection of different Norton, Triumph and other assorted bikes from the late-​60s to the early-​80s in immaculate restored condition. For the uninitiated, there is a slight learning curve involved in transitioning from a modern electric ignition bike with standardized shifting to a classic euro bike. First, there’s no electric start. You’ll be getting vigorously acquainted with a kickstarter on most of the models. Second, there is a variety of shift patterns, some are left side, some are right side, some are 1d5u, while others are 1u5d. Best of luck remembering. The last thing to remember about riding around on a loud, fast café racer from England is that the bikes of yesteryear shake. And how. It is not uncommon to arrive at a destination to find out your taillight is barely hanging on by the last thread of only one screw as it has backed out and is now trying to leave you.
This is part of the allure of fun old bikes. You get to tinker. And who better to ask how to trick out your café racer than the staff of Big D. These guys regularly swing down to the Saltflats and have run streamliners and set records. They have bikes in fully restored conditioned, and in rolling frames. If you’ve got questions, they’ve got answers when it comes to the classics. This is a must-​stop on a Saturday ride around the Metroplex.
