I am a commercial driver staying in a hotel which I do pretty much every night. I typically do not order delivery unless it is pizza and has really good reviews. It is so hot here I did not want to venture out so I asked for the typical flyers for delivery places. I eat out daily when away from home and I should give more reviews but I definitely want to stear people away from spending their money here! The Good: The food was not the worse I have had, some of it was actually decent Delivery was VERY prompt… maybe 20 – 25 minutes The delivery guy was friendly and the food was nice and hot They didn’t forget the extra ranch and salsa I asked for The Bad: The ranch is «that brand». I can’t quite place it but it is terrible… I challenge anyone to try their ranch and disagree. Every restaurant supplier ie Sysco, Smart and Final etc has a much better tasting ranch. Unfortunately the ranch ruined what would have been decent potato skins. Back up for that would have been the sour cream but they put that foil type packet of sour cream in with the hot food and they did the same thing with the ranch! Who wants HOT sour cream and ranch? This should be common sense for any restaurant! Package sauces seperatly from the food, especially sauces like sour cream and ranch. So I ordered the appetizer sampler which included jalepeño poppers, potato skins and southwest eggrolls. I wish I would have taken a pic of this but it is the first thing I ate and it wasn’t so bad I was going to write a review(as you can see I do not review often). Like I said the potato skins were decent, good size and really good melted real cheese but bacon bits vs real bacon and when I say bacon bits I mean not even the good bacon bits, its a restaurant, they don’t make bacon and can’t chop some up and sprinkle the skins with it??? The poppers were exactly what you would expect from any gas station, fast food, typical diner type restaurant… not bad, taste pretty good but nothing special. The egg roles were the shocker! They are literally 1 inch, TINY! I cannot believe they serve them. They didn’t taste bad but so small and nothing to them. I also ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak was decent, again nothing special at all but taste good. Problem is as you can see in the pic they included the smallest little to-go thing of gravy. Seriously maybe a heaping teaspoon of gravy? Spending over $ 20 on this meal plus tip… you think the cook puts a teaspoon of gravy if you eat at the restaurant? Doubt it… enough said on that. The potatoes were the worst part of the meal… instant, thin, not creamy, the type I didn’t even think exsisted anymore. They reminded me of what we made when we were 10 years old in the micro out of a box… the flakey ones. Anyway, horrible. Lastly, the salad… as you can see in the pic it is 100% that leafy lettuce. They say on the menu crisp salad but there’s no crisp. Should be mixed with ice-berg or romaine. Again, the ranch was so bad the salad had no chance. I would normally call and give the manager or owner an opportunity to make things right but too many things were wrong.

So about a month later I get a call from a hispanic male identifying himself as the«manager» of Bluebonnet Salads and Grill. He proceeds to tell me that he didn’t like my previous review and that he «knows where I live» among other veiled threats, in case I didn’t follow along with his demand to take down my review within 72 hours. Naturally I told him to never call me again and upon hanging up the phone I called the police and had them come make a police report. The police just left my house, and now I sit here even further in my conviction that absolutely nobody should order food from these guys. What an absolute nightmare!
