This is my first time here and I will most definitely be back. There was a 15 minute wait, but that didn’t bother me at all. Since this location is in a mall it’s perfect for people watching while you wait. Our server was outstanding and very attentive. Now on to the food: my sister had the farmhouse scramble w/egg whites and of course I had to sample the chicken and waffles! They were recommended by our waiter and they didn’t disappoint at all. The taste of the syrup and the hot sauce was like a party in my mouth! I know C&W is pretty popular today, but trust me on this you must try BW’s version.

Be ready to wait. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and there was still a 25 – 30 minutes wait. The food is your typical bread winners fare. A little bit on the pricey side; my side of toast was almost $ 3. I would definitely recommend getting breakfast/brunch items. The food isn’t amazing, but it’s good and a very nice place to go with friends for brunch. I got the McKinney Avenue Scramble which overall was good, but it was already lukewarm when it got to the table and soon enough it was cold. The coffee that was served to me was also lukewarm at best and never refilled. My main complaint would be the service. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive and very hard to get a hold of. Asking for some cream with the coffee or ketchup for the potatoes was nearly impossible. If I’m shopping at Northpark, yeah sure I’ll come stop by this place if my friends and I are feeling it. But, I probably will not come back just to eat at this Breadwinners.

We have eaten hear many times and for sure, breakfast is the meal they do best. We have never been impressed with lunch or dinner. The farmhouse tacos were outstanding and so was the Bloody Mary and mimosa.

Excellent place for brunch but they serve brunch to dinner. We had about a 45 minute wait because everyone wants to eat here :) We were served pastries before we got our main meal. They were delicious and I have no idea what they were. For my meal, I got the Fried Chicken and Waffle. You HAVE to try it! It’s delicious and served with maple syrup, cream gravy, and Henry’s Hot Sauce. Environment was great and servers were attentive. Perfect café and bakery! I’ll most definitely be back again.

What a disappointment. Pretty much every time me and the squad go eat after a race everything is delicious– maybe because you are starving from running. I had been pumped to finally try BWC– but it was a major let down. The basket of munchies– breads and muffins we got looked like they were leftovers from other tables that didn’t finish them– even then we had a group of 5 and they didn’t bring enough for each person to have a piece. Our waitress did not seem to care either way– it was hard enough to track her down to get refills. The food was actually not bad– that’s where the two stars come in– but they are seriously lacking in the service department. The place was busy– but when staff is standing around chatting instead of filling up my water I have an issue with that. A few of us opted for the chicken and waffles– there is a lot going on, so if you are picky ask for all the sauces on the side. It comes with the chicken on top of the waffle half, then smothered in white gravy, syrup, and drizzled with hot sauce. I could see it being soggy halfway through, but all the flavors were on point. I snagged a bite of a friends shrimp and grits, someone else’s pancake, and a just took a big whiff of the burger that was next to me. Nothing was knock my socks off, but it wasn’t terrible either. For sure go with the chicken and waffles– sauce all on the side. and tell your server not to eat out of your muffin basket lol. If ever I’m in the area, I’ll give them another shot, hoping it was on off-day.

I went there for lunch, the service was great. However there was a dead fly in my salad. Yep not coming back ever again!

This review is for the nice cake I bought for my friend’s birthday party. The strawberries and cream cake is delicious. It’s light and not too sweet as most cakes are. I paid $ 45.12 for a huge cake that took care of a party of 11. We had some left over too. :-) Will come back for my birthday cake needs. Tip: they can’t write messages on the cake unless you order 24 hours in advanced. So order ahead if you want a birthday message.

3 Stars? Curious as to why. It’s clean, wait isn’t too long and the food is good. Came here for brunch on a Saturday after some shopping. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. I sat inside but beside the doors that lead outside and it was nice to see the green park and have the breeze come in. Great casual dining spot if your in the mall.

My wife and I came in for an early lunch with our 10-month old. They accommodated us quickly and I started off with a cup of coffee and a cup of southwestern chicken soup, the latter of which was a nice tasty start to our meal. We both ordered the chicken and waffles we were impressed with our plates. The waffles were jalapeño-bacon-cheddar waffles, and there was a large fried chicken breast smothered with a spicy cream sauce spread over the waffles. It was rich and spicy, but with the appropriate amount of heat for our palates. Neither of us could finish our meals, so now we have leftovers we are looking forward to eating. I would definitely recommend giving this dish a try at least once.

The location is very nice. We sat outside on the patio and had a lovely view of the garden. The bread is ok, but nothing special in my opinion. I had the steak and eggs for brunch and my steak was medium rare but a little too fatty for my liking, but my scrambled eggs with cheddar were delicious and cooked perfectly. I’ve been to Breadwinners twice and I think the food is pretty sub-par, but the atmosphere is enjoyable. I wish they had bottomless mimosas, but I liked having my own mini-bottle of champagne. That was a nice touch. Overall, it’s ok. I’d go for the experience.

I did some shopping early afternoon at Northpark Mall and decided to stop by Bread Winners for a cool refreshment. Our server, Austin, suggested the Brunch Punch. It’s sweet with a good kick of champagne… I’m guessing he picked that drink because the date I was with was looking good in red!(Schwing!!) Drink was delicious and reasonably priced… which is always a plus. Perhaps next time I actually come back for brunch and see what this bakery has to offer… along with the Brunch Punch!

Let’s look on the bright side, of which there was one: the side leading out to the courtyard with the patio seating. I really like how all the BW Cafes I’ve visited try to incorporate the outdoors into their décor. Now let’s look at the dark side, of which there are a few. I had a Chipotle Chicken sandwich and a pear gorgonzola salad lunch combo. I guess it’s a good thing the portions were tiny for $ 11.99 because my chicken was on the dry side. The texture of the meat reminded me of cheese stick unwrapped in the fridge. The salad was good though, especially with the candied pecans, and I discovered that I am not opposed to Gorgonzola cheese, as it reminds me of feta. But my greatest concern about this Bread Winners was overhearing someone – perhaps a waitress but it may have been a customer(it was all I could do not to stop and gawk at her) – telling a friend, «I don’t really believe in vaccines…» To me it’s the equivalent of announcing you don’t believe in soap and if that’s the case, please keep yourself at home. But I know that’s not going to happen so I’ll just avoid this particular establishment until vaccines become mandatory.

There’s always a massive wait list if you come here on a weekend, but most of the time I cannot justify waiting over an hour for their food. While I appreciate that they have an extensive brunch menu that they serve until 4pm, the food doesn’t seem to WOW me. Most of the entrees I’ve tried are really heavy, and they don’t seem to care much about the plating presentation.(While most of the portions are generous, it looks sloppily put together a lot of the time.) Of all the items I’ve tried, I have to say«the deluxe» on the breakfast menu is probably my favorite so far. It’s an open-faced sandwich with crispy pork belly(!! which reminds me of like, thicker bacon), avocado, and sunny side up egg on a brioche bun. It can get pretty messy, but it tastes really good! Some people rave about their chicken and waffles, but I found the waffle to be too soft(too dough-y/bit undercooked), and they completely drenched the entrée with the spicy siracha sauce it comes with — while it is a good sauce, I would definitely recommend asking them to put it on the side because I didn’t think it would be already poured on since it also comes with maple syrup. Service is hit-or-miss, but the food itself tends to come out relatively quickly. I find that while the food seems a little pricey, they are pretty generous with their portions so I will give them props for that!

This is my first time at this location & it was great other than the fact that I got bit up multiple times !(I usually visit the Plano one) The décor is beautiful here and it’s very spacious. I love the chandeliers. The French doors to the outdoor seating area really«open» up the restaurant and when I was eating dinner inside, it was nice to feel the breeze every once in a while. I ordered the chicken & waffles and my boyfriend got the raspberry chicken sandwich. Both meals were really good! So I def. recommend those dishes. Also I got sugar free syrup, so don’t forget to ask if you want it. The only downside was the fact that since the doors were open to the outside seating area, there were annoying bugs flying around… I literally got bit 4 times in a row =\ I was getting antsy since I was constantly scratching so we decided to take our food to go. I noticed a few other patrons were scratching their neck, shoulder area as well so I’m pretty sure they had gotten bit, too. So maybe breadwinners can close the doors on days after a rainy day??? Bugs love humidity.

This place is known for brunch and Sundays come with free cake if u go after 5! It’s nice to have this place at the mall. My sister and I decided to come for dinner. The dinner menu is a lot smaller than the brunch or breakfast menu. We got three items from the menu: pesto flatbread, pork belly sliders, and the tuscan farfalle. The food was good. I looooooooved the pork belly sliders. They were moist, flavorful, and the meat basically melts in your mouth once you take a bite. Best part about it is that it’s only $ 8 for a piece of heaven! I wasn’t too impressed with the pasta and flatbread. They were good but nothing special. Will def come back for the sliders and maybe try other dishes. Overall, i really enjoyed my experience here!

I got the basic breakfast. Portion sizes were great. The plate came with 3 pork sausage links, two eggs, a lot of cheddar grits, 1 biscuit, and half of a strawberry. Nothing was too overwhelming, but nothing was out of the ordinary. It was a simple breakfast and the waiter was very friendly. The cost of the meal was pretty high considering its a fancier sit down. If the prices were cheaper, I’d probably rate this at 4 stars. The location is actually inside the mall between Macy’s and Nordstrom.

I always thought chicken and waffles were too basic — tastes just like chicken with waffles… Breadwinners made this combo work for me, especially with its gravy and bacon! They both have jalapeño incorporated in them, something I thought I wouldn’t like. A little pricey, but I definitely wouldn’t mind treating myself once in a while!

I have been to a different location before, and I saw the reviews here and had to try it out myself to see what was going on with this place. I had a great time! We always go to Kona grill for happy hour so I thought this would also be a change of pace. Thursday’s they have $ 5 martinis and I got Lavender lemon, because anything with lavender in it, I am sold! I was waiting on a friend, so the waiter let me enjoy my drink while I read until my friend came. The apps are half off during HH so we each decided to get our own. I got the pita bread and hummus and asked to have veggies added with less pita bread, and he had no issue with doing this sub, my friend had the bourbon street beer companion, it was basically a cheese plate but it was HUGE, and for HH price of $ 7 it was a bargain! My hummus plate was good, hummus so creamy and they had sliced zucchini, I LOVE zucchini! Overall an awesome spot!

Décor: 3.5÷5 Service: 4⁄5 Food: 2⁄5 Come here before 11am if you want to beat the Sunday brunch rush. Service was friendly and decently fast kitchen at preparing our dishes. My dish, Leo’s favorite, was a bit underwhelming in flavor and taste. You will not leave hungry though, I can tell you that. I was stuffed but not content with the meal overall.
