This is a great theological library. Should you be interested in books, helpful (and funny) staff, and quiet study areas, this is the place for you. As an SMU Perkins School of Theology student, this location provides almost everything I could need, aside from coffee and food.
Have questions? Find the reference librarians via email, chat bubbles, on Facebook, or heaven forbid in person!
Seriously. Go here. It’s the best. Unless you’re looking for a disco party.

As a student and employee of Southern Methodist University, I spend a lot of time in libraries. I am completing my masters of divinity at Perkins School of Theology and, trust me, Bridwell has everything you could possibly need and more when it comes to religion.
I love the reference rooms and the reference librarians. Both David and Jane know the answers to anything and everything and are happy to help. They are willing to read over your papers and submit edits, which makes a huge difference when professors are picky about citations and footnotes.
Bridwell is one of the main reasons why I chose to attend Perkins School of Theology and move to Dallas, Texas. This is a library that you must visit if you ever find yourself on SMU’s campus.
