Very delicious burger! Cheap and GOOD. Thin patties so order the«double double». The fries rock too. They’ve got a cool little back patio with umbrellas for an ultra casual satisfying mealtime stop. I bought a shaker of their secret spice mix and sometimes use it as a light dry rub on a ribeye or such before grilling at home. Love it!

I went to this place with my cousin. We both thought it was some good eats. I asked for three plain cheeseburger and they delivered. Defiantly a good meal on a budget.

By far my favorite burger — on the planet. The seasoning is so spectacular that you can even purchase it in the restaurant in varying sizes. I actually use mine when cooking all the time. Also the best fries I’ve ever had. Hands down. This place is amazing. If you’ve never tried it, be prepared to be blown away. The burgers really are the best you’ll ever have. Love love love.

Burger house is the best. Great burgers, shakes, fries, corndogs, everything!!! You will not be disappointed with this place. It is a classic Dallas spot for a burger and has been here forever.

Where’s the beef. My favorite seasoning but what happened to the ham in the hamburger??? Very salty too. Not happy one of my favorite burger places has gone down hill. :(. This review was written on the day of my experience… during my experience. I think I used to order the double double as I don’t remember the burgers being this thin.

Good for what it is, a burger joint. Good chicken sandwiches and burgers. Lots of TVs. Lots of booth seating. The landscape design/potted plants and flowers make it more pleasant than most. Welcome new location, solid choice for this kind of food. But what’s with the no-plates policy when they serve cheese fries ?! They bring you a miniature paper bowl and discourage servers from being you a plate even if requested.

The best tasting burger and the fries to match.

I made the a stop to Burger House on my road trip from Houston to Kansas City as a recommendation by a friend. I informed him of my need to get some In-N-Out burger and he mentioned that I should check this place out. Long story short: it was a great suggestion! I am not a local from Dallas but Burger House seems to have a great location near the SMU area and an affluent neighborhood. Park may be an issue during peak hours. The restaurant looks deceivingly small from the outside but has a good amount of seating inside. The décor and atmosphere divey with a diner feeling, perfect for some burgers and fries. The staff is friendly and seem very chill. Once you walk in, the order window is up front and center with a simple menu. Burger House is apparently famous for their fries which I concur is quite delicious. They are cut about the same as McDonalds fries but taste crisper, fresher, and definitely better tasting. Their seasoning is what makes it great. If you love it, you can buy a shaker of their seasoning. I ordered their chicken sandwich and my partner ordered the chili burger. The chicken was seasoned well and grilled well. It was moist and tasty. Their chili burger was even better and they don’t skimp out on the chili. I loved how they toasted the buns as well! I recommend visiting Burger House if you’re ever in the Dallas area. Have some of their burgers and fries and compare it to the popular In-N-Out chain. Even as a California boy who loves his In-N-Out, I would say Burger House is a touch better! Don’t forget to buy some Burger House memorabilia!

Great Burger and Fries ! We have visited this location many times over the past few years, and we always enjoy the food. The seasoned salt on the fries always provides an enjoyable flavor. The location is basic, but the staff always provide prompt service.

First time I’ve been to this place which is kinda amazing since I’ve been going to school at SMU for the past 4 years and never been. The atmosphere reminds you of grandmas small burger joint. I got the double cheeseburger with fries. The burger is certainly good, and has a good quality taste to it. The seasoning for the fries is really really good too. Customer service is adequate too. If you live around the University Park area or near the area and hungry, go check this place out.

The fries here are great at anytime of the day, but the burger is sub par. The patty has very little to it(maybe 2 cm thick if that). Obviously being located close to SMU its a late night munchie place for college kids. Equivalent to a Whatabutger. Not horrible, not great

In town on business and stopped here for dinner one night. Got the basic hamburger with fries and tried the onion rings too. A very good basic burger made unique by the salt and pepper seasoning. It also had the traditional lettuce, onion, mustard, and pickles you expect of a higher end«fast food» burger. Fries also seasoned with a touch of pepper and other flavors but only slightly so — not enough to over power but enough to definitely enhance. Onion rings deserve a place in the first rank of those I have had — they were excellent. In a nutshell a solid basic burger place where the burger is well executed, the fries uniquely seasoned but still recognizable as fries, and the onion rings first rate. I can see why they have been in business for so long. I will definitely try to get back and try some of the other things they have on their surprisingly large menu.

I sooo did love this place — however you will notice the hamburger meat is not a thick juicy burger anymore. I was so shocked to see the hamburger patty so thin. I would gladly pay more for a really thick juicy burger.

I know this is one of those«landmark» establishments, but here goes… everything is salted with their signature seasoning salt, so everything, and I mean everything tastes the same. Be it the onion rings, french fries, or burgers. It’s all one note, and that note is flat at best. I’d rather have Lawry’s on everything than their over powering blend. Just not for me… Sorry.

We were going to an organic burger place, but found that it closed down. Since we were all in the mood for burger, the pursuit continued. We ended in this little joint tucked in the middle of a shopping strip on Hillcrest. The eating area was limited and all the seats were taken! We proceeded to the counter and ordered cheeseburger, burger, chili cheeseburger, onion ring, and fries so that we all could sample a little of everything. By the time our orders were ready, a group of people were leaving, so we could dine in the restaurant. All burger orders come complete with pickle, onion, mustard, etc. So you will need to tell them what to exclude if desired. The burgers came already seasoned with their proprietary seasoned salt. In my opinion, they taste good without having to add any sauce or anything. The only order that is not up to par is their chili cheeseburger. I found it somewhat bland due to the chili that they used.

If you are in the mood for an all American Cheeseburger, you are coming to the right place. I used to eat here all the time because it was close by to work. The staff at Burger House is super friendly. Ask for Jose, he has been there for over ten years and makes the best hamburgers. Their shakes are also pretty awesome. I always get the cookies and cream. The only thing I make sure to tell them when I place an order is that I do not want any salt. Overall if you are near Snider Plaza, you should definitely stop by.

Great burgers, but the fries are hands-down their best menu item. While the burgers are great, they definitely aren’t the best I’ve ever had in Dallas(for the best, try Off Site Kitchen) – it’s more about the tradition of going to Burger House and eating the FRIES.

Stopped in on a whim because I liked the old-school neon sign outside this cool, one-of-a kind Texas burger house. There are probably thousands of these burger joints around the country, in every city, in every town — locally owned and serving up burgers the same way for decades. I tried the basic three dollar Texas cheeseburger decked out with their standard fixins — lettuce, tomato, onion, pickels and mustard — nothing too special here. The 300 square feet of the funky interior of this shoe box is what I really loved about this place complete with a few pictures of locals on the walls. Jack’s…a great place to spend 20 minutes to soak in some of the local color.

This is a charming place and has a good Burger House vibe to it. The décor is cute. They clearly cooked everything to order, which was nice. I did order it just as it comes — so it had lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and the burger of course. There were far too many toppings, meaning I couldn’t taste my burger at all as beef, but I certainly could taste their seasoning quite clearly. What are you trying to cover up with all these flavors? Substandard beef? I’m not sure. Chocolate shake was standard, as in nothing special but it hit the spot well enough I suppose. We will probably just continue going to Keller’s from now on.

A+ for décor and ambience. It certainly fit what I think of when I hear«Burger House» The burger was pretty good too. Had a different sort of seasoning to it that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Wifey think’s it’s celery salt. Chocolate shake was nothing special. All in all not a bad spot, but I think I prefer Keller’s for a burger.
