When I head to the doctor, I usually don’t feel well. When I leave Dr. Burnett’s office, I usually feel worse. I recognize that the place is for family’s though the only customers I ever see are old folk or pharmaceutical reps peddling some new drug. The office is small with lots of pictures hanging around to indicate a doctor is somewhere nearby. However, for a 3-man operation, the place is run remarkably slow. When my blood work is ready or I need to have an exam, I come prepared to wait long after my set appointment as the nurse and doctor are always tied up. The positive? The office-manager is a delightful woman and Dr. Burnett is a lot like the grandfather we all imagined would save us from frightening uncles. He’s quite good at allaying fears should you have the entire day free to see him. Just once I want to be called back when the receptionist or whomever tells me to expect a call. The price is average and I imagine most insurances are taken but if you’re looking for a Wal-Mart style place that can accommodate all your needs, Dr. Burnett is not what you need. Instead I recommend CareNow or perhaps a van in the back alley, at least service should be somewhat more prompt.
