Nice staff but the breakfast food is pretty greasy. It’s a typical hospital cafeteria.

It’s hospital food. Because of my profession, I have worked in hospitals all over the states and Asia. It’s a difficult job to put out large amounts of food to a diverse population and keep patients and staff happy. This hospital isn’t on the health kick like some. So you can treat yourself to a few guilty pleasures. Staff is very friendly and helpful and facility is well kept and clean. So if you find yourself at Methodists, give it a try.

This is the on-site cafeteria here inside the Methodist Charlton Medical Center. I ate here a couple of mornings ago. I’m not a fan of hospitals, period, but the breakfast food was pretty good. I had the spinach-zucchini-cheese eggs with pork sausage links(the fat sausage links in a casing, not the greasy, uncased skinny links) wheat toast breakfast eggrolls and tea. The whole thing was under $ 5, so that’s a huge plus that things are really affordable(it’s even cheaper if you’re an employee of the hospital). I like the fact that on the far right wall they have not only the listing of available menu items and pricing, but the percentage of fat that’s within the items, so you can definitely watch what you eat. If you find yourself captive in the hospital for several hours, this is the place to go for food and comfort. You get to eat flavorful food on the cheap and still be near your loved ones.
