The back patio bar is toasty. The mix fajitas are delish. Ask for free extra tortillas.

Excellent service and good quality food for the price. Tortilla soup has ample chunks of chicken, avocado, tomatoes, tortillas and a rich tomato base. It had just the right amount of cheese. Fajita chicken salad was large. Lots of chicken that was seasoned just right. My only complaint was that is too big for lunch.

Awesome food, even better drinks. The brunch is unbeatable. The bar staff will happily refill your mimosa glass without you even asking. I recently went for a Friday night dinner and the shrimp quesadilla had my mouth watering! The crowd here swings more liberal, if that’s your thing.

Absolutely excellent! We had a late lunch on Saturday. Were seated at the bar right away. Marco the bartender and Barto were exceptional. They know how to make a mean Margarita and the pineapple mojito was just great. The food was super good. The 3 salsas accompanying the chips were good. We had the brisket tacos recommended by the bartender and they were absolutely awesome! Also had Pescado a la Parrilla; super yummy. We were in town from Michigan(where you can’t find good Mexican food anywhere) and this came highly recommended by family. We are so glad we stopped by. Don’t miss it!

Delicious! Had the über margarita — it was super strong so it was a good thing I was walking. Tried the Mexican Giuso at the server’s recommendation — flavorful, spicy, perfectly cooked! Large portions. Friendly staff.

Been here 3 – 4 times and so far has not disappointed. I do come in off times most of time so not a lot of people. But my friends I bring love it and so do I. The chalupas. Yummy. It’s hard to find shells that stay together and not break in half but these do stay together. The bean soup was spicy, hot and delicious. Food came out fast. Drinks too. Service was amazing. Saul is our server today and he gets 5 stars! Lunch special prices before 4! They have weekend brunches. Patio with TV’s and nice atmosphere. Stop by if you haven’t!

Strong house frozen margaritas. Repeat: STRONG. If you like both your first and last sip of a margarita to be a shot of tequila, this one is for you. This place is your typical tex-mex spot, and although it looks small on the outside, they had plenty of 4-tops inside. We parked the car(complimentary valet is the only option, bring cash!) and strolled inside. We ordered margaritas(no draft beer here — only bottles) and a small queso. Everything on the menu looked a little pricey for mexican. In particular, the $ 20 «World Famous Nachos» had us intrigued. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $ 10 for nachos. I almost ordered them just to see how amazing they could possibly be but I didn’t. I got fajitas. My fajitas were OK. The best part about them was the flour tortillas, so that should tell you something. The chicken was much better than the steak. We decided to order dessert and had the mexican snowballs. There were approximately 3 times the size I expected — easily shared among a group of 4. Our service was really fast, particularly bar service. It was almost under a minute from the time we ordered a drink to the time it arrived! Probably an above average tex mex experience, but our bill for 2 was over $ 90. To be fair, $ 40 of that was margaritas, but still. I still feel like $ 20 tex mex can be just as good, if not better, than $ 50 tex mex, so the place loses a star for value. They do have quite a few deals they run throughout the week, and that’s probably the better time to go.

My fiancé and I went to Campuzano during Happy Hour, which was nice because we were able to try their House Margarita for only $ 4. I ordered mine on the rocks and found it to be a bit too sweet for my liking; however, my fiancé enjoyed his and ended up having two by the end of our dinner. I guess it’s a taste preference. They brought out chips with three different dipping flavors and they were all too spicy for me(I can’t take the spice), so we ordered guacamole so that I could enjoy some of those chips. The guacamole was good, but I would have liked it a lot more with less salt. For my entrée, I ordered the full size of Shrimp Quesadillas with a side of rice and beans. The rice and beans were good, but too pricey for the super small saucer they came on. For $ 4, I could have gotten double the portion somewhere else. The quesadillas were great, but way too buttery. And when I say buttery, that is an understatement. The only good thing I can say is that not only did they taste good, but they came with a lot of shrimp, which was surprising, but appreciated. I couldn’t even finish my meal because it was so much food! If I were to order them again, I would ask for them to go light on the butter and cheese. I had a bite of the Tacos al Carbon(with chicken) and the taco was amazing. The tortilla was moist, but not too buttery and the chicken was seasoned nicely. The service was ok, but not great. In the beginning, our waiter was almost rushing us to place an order and once the food came, the waiter was nowhere to be found. As far as the atmosphere goes, it’s casual and upbeat with a lot of bright lights. It almost reminds me of one of those restaurants in the city of Cancun that changes into a nightclub at night. I would definitely come back here again, but I wouldn’t be in any hurry.

Their salsa variety may be my favorite… ever. The fajitas were great too. Service was wonderful. I’ll be back

Had a great dinner with the boss. Ordered the Shrimp Diablo which was really good and just the right amount of spice as well. We also ordered the everything appetizer that had a little of everything in it. The cheese nachos was really good. They also give really good tortillas with a variety of dips.

Food was great, service was okay, happy drink specials were deceiving. We both ordered the chicken fajitas and they were pretty good, big chunks of meat, not scrawny pieces you get most places. Their queso is pretty good too, but it reminds me of melted Velveeta, it began to congeal. The drinks on the other hand. Their happy hour runs Sun-Thur 4-close and the menu states margaritas are $ 4 «house-frozen-rocks». Apparently that means the house margarita prepared either on the rocks or frozen. Not house or frozen or rocks as a normal person might interpret dashes. We were quite surprised to be hit with a $ 57 bill for 2 people. The margaritas were $ 10 each and didn’t taste anything like the pineapple or coconut flavors we ordered. I would consider coming back for the food but definitely not the drinks.

This restaurant I would have to say is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Dallas. I give it 5 star because the ambiance(especially the patio), cost is very reasonable for the amount of food you get, top notch service, the food is fantastic, & it’s an upbeat fun restaurant. I would highly recommend it.

Enjoyed the 6.99 enchilada plate lunch special with some coworkers. Music was a bit loud(and very random — kept going from traditional Mexican music to pop music), and the place was freezing! But the food was fast and tasty. Sidenote: Every time a waiter comes to your table, at least one other waiter comes over with them and stands there. Kind of funny, kind of weird.

GREAT service. Good food. Awesome menu. This was my second visit and I was super excited to come for their happy hour which is 4−10pm Sunday through Thursday! They also have $ 6 enchiladas every weekday at lunch and then $ 9 fajitas in Tuesday’s! DEAL!!! the servers was super awesome. Very attentive and personable. They have phone chargers on the walls for different devices if you’re sitting inside. I ordered a house margarita on the rocks, which was was tasty. Far from the best marg I’ve ever had but also for from the worst. Decent for $ 4! The food was good… Fajitas was my choice for the evening. They give you a really nice portion. I’d come back for the specials for sure!

The service was excellent! My bottomless $ 5 mimosas never ran dry! The food was good. I enjoyed the tex-mex toast(french toast), fresh fruit and scrambled eggs. Delicious! The interior was a bit dimmer than i would’ve prefered, but overall a very pleasant experience, I’ll definitely be back!

I really enjoy eating at this place. There is a great ambience and the food is pretty good too. I’m a big fan of chips and salsa, and the great news is that you get 3(yes, 3!) types of salsa. I really don’t know what the three types are, but two are mild and one has a little spice! The portions are good, and prices are fair(but good for Uptown). I always get the fajitas, taco salad or quesadillas. All get high markings. It’s everything you want in good Mexican food… Cheesy, greasy and amazing flavor! While I haven’t eaten the fish dishes(I personally hate fish), I hear great things about them. I have gone here many times and haven’t been disappointed yet. If you haven’t eaten here, give it a try. While I don’t drink, they do have a nice bar! :)

No reason to award fewer than five stars. One of the best destinations for Tex-Mex food that is two notches better than nearby competition. Attentive, brisk wait staff await your smallest need. Crispy, flaky tortillas and robust salsas are what I remember best. Shrimp, beef, and chicken tacos are perfect. Simple ingredients– just like any other Tex-Mex restaurant– but, noticeably better: spice freshness level, temperature of food, sear on the beef and shrimp, and perfect preparation of a Michelada beer cocktail are noteworthy. Impress someone and bring them here– like a boss, or a future father-in-law. An organized, masculine feel you will get here, because of the décor, architecture, and lighting. Clean, tidy, neat, and professional.

Boooooooooo— this isn’t a fair assessment since I could actually eat my food. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito— beans & cheese only— specifically asked if they served it that way because I don’t eat meat. Got home and I have a beans, cheese and ground beef burrito. I don’t eat meat. Wtf. Wasteful. They get one star because I can’t give zero and I kinda like the chips and salsa.

I decided to come here for a late lunch. We chose this place based on others reviews and just due to the proximity from the apartment. It’s very close to us and we’ve always wanted to try it. The parking lot is moderately sized for the fact that it is off of Oaklawn. Walking to the front I noticed there was a bar styled seats in front of the entrance, I guess which is neat. The host greeted my partner and I when we walked in and promptly seated us. I really liked the décor of the place and the lighting, it was neat. Now to start off, instead of the typical Mexican restaurants just serving you a single salsa and chips, campuzanos brings out a trio! The green tomatillo salsa was my favorite by far, it was very creamy and delicious. I ordered pechuga de parilla(grilled chicken breast) with grilled onions on top with melted Monterrey cheese over it. All of it served over a bed of rice. It also came with a small cup of charro beans and a side of guacamole. The size of the chicken breast was huge! It was cooked perfectly and was very fresh. The chicken was tender and juicy– not too dry. All the flavors of the chicken, cheese and grilled veggies all melded together. The side of guacamole was a great component with the chicken. The charro beans were delicious! The bacon an sausage in it was so good, with a hint of spice from the jalapeños. My friend just ordered the steak taco plate, which came with refried beans and rice. The tortillas were warm and fresh, and it was loaded with steak fajita meat! My partner requested sour cream and cheese for his tacos and the waiter kindly and promptly obliged. The staff here is very friendly and attentive; the food was delicious and the portion size was generous. This is one of my top spots for tex-mex food! I’ll be returning for sure.

To me, Campuzano is that spot that you see all of the time, always say that you’re going to go there, and end up never going. Determined not to let this restaurant end up in the«never been» column, we stopped there for a quick lunch. The setup is nice. To be a spot on Oak Lawn, it has a decent sized parking lot. There’s plenty of outdoor seating in the front… the perfect place for traffic watching. The interior is pretty cool too. Nothing way out of the ordinary, there’s a bar near the front with a couple of televisions, and seating going towards the back. One thing that did catch my eye was the wall of doors. One of the walls that leads towards the back of the establishment is totally made out of recycled doors. It’s a nice touch to the décor. Our waiter came out and quickly took our orders. I chose the fish tacos off of the lunch menu. We also ordered some chips and queso as well. They give you a salsa sampler with 3 different styles. They range from mild to spicy on the heat scale. The«spicy» wasn’t hot at all, but it did have a nice smokey flavor to it. I can always tell if something isn’t spicy if my fiancé is able to eat it. She doesn’t like heat at all, but she really enjoyed this. My fish tacos came out next. The fish wasn’t really seasoned well, but they put a lot of the«spicy» sauce on top, so that helped it out a bit. My fiancé’s quesadilla was huge though. When I saw her plate, I almost wished that I would have ordered a shrimp quesadilla instead. It wasn’t really busy at all, but I bet it can be a pretty lively place when it does! Great location and the staff was awesome too! The food was just ok, nothing spectacular, but not bad either. I would definitely come here again, and next time it will be on a day that I don’t have to work so I can try out one of their margaritas!
