I think this is the only candy store near me, so it’s kind of hard to knock a local candy store, but they were lacking the selection I was looking for. Don’t worry, they offer plenty to aid your sweet tooth. They have tons of different flavors of taffy, gummies and chocolate. I was looking for more types of hard candy(think Jolly Ranchers but more flavors) and they only had the normal package of Jolly Ranchers. BUT they serve Blue Bell ice cream and FUDGE! Located near the north side of Snider Plaza, you’ll find this little candy shop ready to give you a sugar high.

What? Where did this place come from? After stopping by the sunglasses place we wandered in and discovered everything wonderful you’d want to see in a candy store — a wall of «get it yourself» gummi bears, chocolate covered almonds, sour cherry balls, etc old fashioned salt water taffy in flavors ranging from key lime pie to strawberry banana… fun candy cigarettes and other retro candy… and let’s not forget about the popcorn! every kind from sweet to savory, I want to try them all! I can’t wait to come back, and wish I had known about this place before!

I’m an admitted Disney animated movie addict, so upon encountering Candy Corn’s I was immediately reminded of the part in Ratatouille where evil food critic Anton Ego takes a bite and is transported back in time to his childhood, and he drops his pen. Complete and total nostalgia! When was the last time you saw an honest to goodness penny-candy store? This place has almost everything. Forget Joe Camel’s bad influence, remember bubble gum cigarettes? Candy cigars and Big League Chew? I thought they stopped making those. I’m sure Phillip Morris has a hand in those things. Remember the little wax bottles filled with sugary colored liquid? Boston Baked Beans, Fire Balls, Lemonheads, Bottlecaps, gum drops, jujubes, candy buttons, Chick-O-Sticks, rock candy, Dots, Fun Dips, Necco Wafers, Big Hunk, Cherry Bombs, Pixie Sticks, Pop Rocks, Red Hots,(inhales deeply) a big assortment of Haribo products and HUGE assortment of salt water taffy. And that’s just what I remember. Left me wondering where the Smurf lunch boxes were. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the reason they’re here… the popcorn. I didn’t get to try all the flavors, but my wife did get the salt and vinegar popcorn and loved it. They had a ton of different flavors a little more than 30 flavors I think. The ones that grabbed my attention on the menu board were Dill, Mac and cheese and pizza. Of course, they had kettle corn which I’m guessing is really good because while there, two other customers(I believe they were regulars) had came in to purchase it specifically. We had a great time and left with some candy we haven’t had in years. My daughter loved it too since she left with a lollipop the size of her face. We’ll definitely be back in the future, if for anything else… to try all the different popcorn!

Sweet date stop. It’s one of those places that you can go to get your sweetheart something unexpected, and you’ll feel like a kid again. Hidden in Snider Plaza, it looks like your average candy shop with an above average candy selection. However at the back counter the magic happens. Magical popcorn is popped from flavorful goodness. Taste and see. Jalapeño Ranch and Dill stole the show for me. I love plain popcorn, but this stuff is such a treat. There are pizza, macaroni and cheese, caramel and many more. I hope you find it as delightful as I did, and it gets you a second date.
