I had my rehearsal dinner here this past weekend and everything was fantastic. The chips were amazing! The fajitas were delicious. The margaritas were fabulous. Service was great as well. My only suggestion would be to install an elevator to get to the private room upstairs — it was difficult to get to for some of the older guests.

Good grief, Manhattan NYC ‘restaurant’ dining prices charged by Cantina Laredo for small portions of decent quality take out Mexican food? The food left a pleasant flavor but the bitter taste of being slightly ripped off was the overwhelming take-away.

This place is good but pricey. I either get the Veracruz enchiladas or the shrimp enchiladas. Since their guac is so good and so are their ritas it’s best to start with both, get loaded and forget you just ordered $ 17 enchiladas. Now, if you bring a date here, whether it’s dinner or just desert, you MUST order the Mexican brownie. It really is a total panties-are-coming-off-later clincher. I’d come here more but at it’s price and considering Rafas is across the street, I just don’t.

Good stuff… but too expensive for regular visits.

Unbelievably expensive, mediocre food, small oily burnt portions, undrinkable margaritas, so-so service. The table side guacamole is good but too pricey for a dip appetizer. The interior is pretty though, the restaurant is kept clean, and the upstairs is a nice place to host a group. That said I just can’t imagine having to pay for a large group for them all to be disappointed.

not bad. I had the ceviche and a cup of coffee. Nothing special, but it wasn’t bad.

Pleasantly surprised!!! I’ve been to the Cantina Laredo at Inwood in Dallas and the one in LittleRock, Ar in the same week and had great experiences both times. Granted it could have been the company but the food was consistent both times. The tortillas they use for chips are phenominal… the table side gauc is awesome. Only complaint from the one in little rock was the brisket tacos weren’t as tender as I would have hoped… but other than that was a good franchise experience. Great service both times… you’ll have me as a return customer…

Hmmmm. Where do I begin… The place is super nice… beautiful tables… beautiful art on the walls… very clean… Gives me the feeling of a restaurant you would find in New York, nice and swanky… CL really does not have the largest selection of food to choose from, however, the food they do have on the menu is GREAT… I had the Beef Enchiladas, they were so good and spicy… We also had the fajitas at our table… and that was just some good stuff… The presentation was beautiful. If you wanna take someone on a nice little date this would be the place to go… They have over sized booths that are super comfy. It would even be a great place to have a get together with friends… They have an upstairs room for such things… T They have a full size bar… With the VODKA screaming my name… With the exception of our waitress. it was a great place to be…(Clara had way to much attitude to be a waitress) I will go back… but will request another waitress if I see her coming my way again… Two meals, $ 50. Not too shabby… I would do it again…

While I was underwhelmed that last time I visited a Cantina Laredo in AZ, the ones in Dallas, where it started, continue to overwhelm. The quality of ingredients, imaginative dishes, presentation and service are at the top of my list for Mexican. The new poblano goat cheese enchilada was delectable and the tableside guacamole is some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Don’t miss out on the quality house margs either.

Cantina Laredo has always been one of my favorite Mexican spots; however, my eating world was turned up side down when I experienced the happy hour small plates bar menu at Cantina Laredo in the Inwood Village Shopping Center. This isn’t on their menu on their Web site, so it is truly a hidden gem. From the cerviche nachos to the sliders that I could have eaten as every meal for the next month, the food was delicious, innovative and distinctly not what I think of as Mexican food. I think we just about ordered everything on the menu that evening. Did I mention that their house margaritas are $ 3 during happy hour. On top of this, you can always count on Cantina for a delicious meal. Whether is the fantastic guacamole made right at your table, the tasty steak fajitas or shrimp enchiladas that I find hard to resist, you know your going to have an impressive meal. I encourage you to save room for dessert because the Mexican Brownie is one of the best brownies in Dallas. It is served on a sizzling skillet with Mexican Brandy Butter and vanilla or cinnamon ice cream. Chocolate heaven! Be wary that is a family-friendly spot, so you’re likely to have a rousing bunch of kids in the restaurant at any given time.

My 40 day meatless marathon ended today with my visit here for their Sunday brunch. I was a little worried when on of the managers was stressed out because none of his servers had arrived to work before 11AM. The bartender seated us and told all the people waiting to please understand that they were severely short staffed and there were only 2 servers there to start this morning. I will say she seemed to handle her self pretty well and looked to be ready to take on that challenge. I had the chorizo plate with a bloody mary. The chorizo was great and I was impressed with the bloody mary. The bloody mary was served in a tall glass with 1 olive and a large celery stalk. I also ordered the top shelf guacamole which was fabulous. Now back to the potential service issues that the bartender had previously mentioned. I think for the short time they seemed to be understaffed the bus boys or whoever filled in did a great job. Our table constantly had people refilling our drinks and picking up and empty plates. The food was great and the service was even better. I look forward to going back they do make some of the best chicken mole in the area.

We went as a huge gang of 20+ people and with our prior reservation, we had the whole place upstairs all to ourselves on one giant table. With the TV screen playing the Cowboys game and us shouting without a care, it was a great atmosphere! The service was very friendly, quick and efficient for most part. You could even speak in Spanish and feel at home if you wanted to! I really liked how the servers kept ending each line with Amigo, oh well thats just me. I had the Avocado enchiladas and it tasted real good! The food was pleasingly presented more than anything. It seemed like real care was put into the final dressing up of the plate and that made it even better than it was. Not to say that the food was any bad either, it was as good enchiladas as I’ve had at other Mexican restaurants. But then I am no expert, so dont take my word on it. Pretty cool place for large gatherings, and small ones too. Lively place and reasonable pricing are definite pluses in my book!

LOVE and MISS this place! I used to live right across the street, now I live in south Texas. BOOHOO! My husband and I went to CL every Thursday night when we dated … the food is great — the fajitas melt in your mouth. The house margaritas are AMAZING. They are the BEST house margaritas you will find in town. The service is always good too. In fact, we had our rehearsal dinner here last August(some nostalgia to this place for us) and the service was even better than it usually is/was … and we had a party of almost 40. All in all, yes, it’s a chain … BUT the food/ambiance/drinks are well worth the price!(And the price is a steal!)

Large selection of tequilas are available at this Park Cities restaurant. Sit at the bar or ask for a table in this 2 story, well decorated joint. We have only been here to sample the good margaritas and appetizers of Guacamole and queso. The chips and salsa are fresh and hot.

We just threw a surprise birthday party here a couple of weeks ago. He was surprised. There were about 15 of us. One of our friends just had ordered appetizers and cocktails for everyone. The waiters were amazing. Made sure that our tummies were full. We were all fine with the appetizers and glad that we did. No dinner as we were having a great time talking and eating. The mini flautas, quesadillas, chips with the guacamole and queso were amazing. It was so yummy for our tummies. We had margaritas with the appetizers and it was a great balance for us. Not to much food but enough to satisfy us all. I highly recommend this to groups and reserve the upstairs because that’s what we did and it was great! Sure, you could order from the menu but this was just enough food for all. The staff was great and they made sure everyone was taking care of! Very knowledgeable staff. The parking here was not bad on a Friday evening of Inwood Village. But make sure you get here early before dinner as it gets busy. The menu does offer steaks, chicken, and seafood dishes. The food quality was great and I highly recommend it to friends and groups from work.

This is the place to go if El Chico just doesn’t seem expensive enough for you. However, I love their chicken mole’ enchiladas and that is a sauce that is hard to find around here. I know peppers and chocolate are weird but it worked for the Aztecs, so why not? This location also puts up with 10 — 20 of my peers twice a year for a company party, so if they can handle us, they can probably handle any group.

I ate at their airport location recently and just assumed the high prices were due to being inside the terminal. Reading Jill’s review, sound like par for the course. The nachos were good, but not worth the price of admission.

The Junior League doesn’t have enough parking at their general meetings, but they have a shuttle that will take you to and from the parking lot of Inwood Village, so many ladies meet at this Cantina Laredo location for drinks or an early dinner before meetings. That’s actually how I came to know this place. The sophisticated décor, creative menu, and knowledgeable staff make Cantina Laredo a good place to take a date you want to impress a little bit. However, be aware that this place is home of the $ 9 guacamole and the $ 13 nachos and quesadillas. Um, what?! I know, I know, it’s a classy Mexican restaurant just outside of HP. I guess that’s just not my thing. The menu offers steaks, chicken, and seafood dishes, as well as about 10 kinds of enchiladas(interior Mexican style, I was told). FYI-If you like mole, they do have one enchilada with mole sauce. It looked gross to me, but others seemed to like it. Just based on food quality, this place probably ranks a 5. As far as having food that’s MY taste, they don’t do quite as well. And, adjusted for cost, 3 is as high as I’ll go.
