We love Capital and we have purchased indoor and patio appliances from them. Our best purchase was an ice maker — sorry Sonic! I have my own ice now and do not have to leave home for there tea.. They were helpful for putting together a full 7 page list for all of our parts necessary in the 2 bathroom remodel projects we did. They have ideas, knowledgeable staff(Zach Mcalister) and a beautiful showroom with unlimited ideas for your home updates. It is a fun place to visit!

I purchased an entire set of kitchen appliances, with some items from their main storeroom and some from the Clearance center. I’ll start with the positive — great selection of high-end and quality appliances, excellent product knowledge about the items themselves the bad: 1. there’s little to no coordination or communication between their main store and their clearance center. i’d suggest you buy everything in 1 location or the other. i repeatedly struggled to get the sales teams with both to work together on scheduling delivery, arranging for install inspections, etc. 2. their sales team is just that — SALES. once i made the transaction i found their attention to detail and follow through to be lacking 3. project management — if i go to someplace like Home Depot or Best Buy, i understand that i’m dealing with a sales associate that may not really know much about appliances, comparing different features, advantages of one manufacturer vs another, planning and design, etc. i know that going in and can plan accordingly. with someplace like Capital, given the prices, i expect more project ownership from the team. there were problems with coordinating the pre-install inspections, they didn’t have the right items on their install order form when they arrived 4. communication — i experienced a major communication breakdown on their behalf. based on the pre-install inspection it was necessary for me to have a cabinet remade. they never communicated that to me, never provided the specifications that the cabinet would need to be adjusted to, etc. The problem was discovered as the install team was standing in my kitchen looking at the space where the double oven and warming drawer was to go 5. rebate — got screwed here too. i purchased in June but then had the items delivered in August. when i asked my sales rep about the KitchenAid rebates and whether to do now or post install, i was told i needed the serial numbers so would have to wait until after install. that seemed logical to me. as it turns out, that’s not correct. you have to submit the rebate at time of purchase and then later you’ll fill in the serial details. so now I’ve lost out on $ 500 in rebates if you’re shopping for appliances, i certainly recommend stopping by their store to get ideas and talk. but then i’d suggest leaving and going someplace else to make the transactions.

Don’t believe the posts about prices or customer service: the only nice person that I met was the receptionist. I am a very targeted buyer. I walk in, pick out what I want with some help, write a check, and check the item off my list. So this is how my experience played out — I walked in, was lead to Thermador(great brand) that was priced worst(found this out later) from most other local places and a bid was put together. He then asked how much«is your house worth?» I told him… and then he became a snob… told me I was wrong to pick this out and that clearly this equipment doesn’t belong in that house. So here’s my take on Capital Distributing: go there and walk around, they have a great selection, write down the model numbers, then go elsewhere like Ed Kellum(or really anywhere else) and write your check. That’s what I did.

B’Ann and the others at Capital Distributing were AWESOME on knowing their products and suggesting other appliances that were cheaper and in most cases better than the bigger ticket items. I tried another company(I won’t say their name, but their initials were Ferguson Enterprises) and they were a couple of hundred dollars more expensive on the exact same products. Capital carries the Fisher-Paykel brand where other companies don’t. So, my wife and I spent $ 6,900 on products that would have cost us around $ 8,100 elsewhere AND made awesome new friends. Give them a try!

We have built and remodeled numerous homes over the past 25 years and we typically shopped every sale and deal out there. We learned of Capital when they opened up on Stemmons Fwy and were amazed when we first walked in the door. The floor personnel are knowledgable and courteous. We have purchased every high end indoor and outside kitchen product for numerous homes and every experience was enjoyable and they matched or beat every low price deal. Highly recommend this quality company!

My experience was great start to finish. From the personable and knowledgable sales staff that never made me feel pressured to the installation I was very happy that I went with Capital Distributing. They really went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly what I wanted. I was especially impressed that once my kitchen was ready to have the appliances installed they sent a team member out for a pre-inspection. Who does that? I was super happy they did because they found a few mistakes that were able to be fixed prior to delivery. The delivery team was wonderful. I felt very comfortable having them in my house and they took the time to review with me how to use my new appliances and even cleaned and shined them before leaving. Hands down, this was the best experience I have ever had when making a major purchase.

Completely Unsatisfied with service and follow up after the sale. We’ve had a wine fridge go completely out and have to be replaced within a month and a fridge explode a water line and flood the down stairs of our brand new home. Capital’s MO is to shift blame and skirt liability. We were given an appliance budget during the building of our home and told that capital was a reputable company that would stand by their products, so we thought paying a little more was worth it, we were mistaken. Save yourself the money, headache, and wasted time running them and their«warranties» down and shop somewhere else. Update: as you mentioned, kitchen aid did finally after I had to file a claim on my homeowners insurance and have litigation brought against them, pay up. The leak happened in April 2014 and 9 months later in February 2015 under threat of legal remedy, we were finally made whole. You respond to this now? In December of 2015? A year and 8 months later? I think you just proved the point.

This company is a joke. Their claim to fame is lower prices, but they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING so you end up spending more than you would at better known retailers. I.e. A griddle cover doesn’t automatically come with a full range set… and you aren’t told until you look for the cover after the range is installed! We’ve been in our house a month and are still waiting on hardware for one tub, which was ordered 4 months ago. The sales guy we worked with had severe challenges with complicated tasks like following timelines he’d set, providing estimates and returning phone calls. His assistant was too busy to provide options on hardware and mis-ordered several items. Avoid at all costs.

My wife and I shopped at every«big box» retail store(Best Buy, Sears, Home Depot; Lowes; Great Indoors, etc) for our new kitchen appliances as part of our home remodel. And we even went looking for the lowest prices on Memorial Day Weekend when Texas has a «sales tax» holiday for energy efficient appliances. But when we called our contractor from Sears, he told us to call Capital Distributing immediately — and to stop looking at «big box» retail stores. We followed his advice and soon found that Capital Distributing offered a wide variety of appliances(cleanly displayed at their showroom) and their prices were simply unbeatable. Even though we did not take advantage of the«sales tax» holiday, the prices at Capital Distributing were easily the lowest. We had a great time working with Chris Wynn who helped us get rebates on appliances that drove the cost down even lower. If you’re looking for high-quality(i.e. KitchenAid, Viking, etc) and low-cost(i.e. beating major retailors) appliances, then I would make Capital Distributing your first stop.
