Carmines has got to be my all time favorite pizza… and I love pizza. It puts Grimaldis and Coal Vines to shame. Fresh ingredients, great New York style crust, and the perfect amount is sauce to cheese ratio. It is one of the few pizzas I don’t dip in ranch or hot sauce. Their other entrée items and salads are good as well.

We were craving pizza on our third night in Dallas and my friend was interested in trying«New York style» pizza, as he is originally from the east coast. We were a little confused when we ordered at the restaurant, the menu online must’ve been for a different Carmine’s because at our location, we asked for a 4 cheese and they did not have any. Luckily, the were kind enough to add some ricotta and extra cheeses on our pizza. The wait was no longer than 10 – 15 minutes and it was phenomenal!!! Great thin crust, very fresh pizza sauce, and evenly cooked cheese with dashes of ricotta around the pizza tasted so delicious!!! For sure next time we are in Dallas I will definitely look up Carmine’s again!

In 2006, my wife and I were in Manhattan. We dropped in on a little pizzeria and were blessed beyond reason to have stumbled upon the best pizza ever pizza’d in the history of pizzadom. We were never able to find that pizzeria again… it is lost to the ages. Since then, I’ve been on a quest. A quest for the pinnacle of pies. We’ve searched high and low. From the sandy shores of the pacific West, to the concrete citadels of the northeast and everywhere therein the distance between… all to a woeful end… nothing has come close to that euphoric experience from that crisp autumn New York evening. Until now… Carmine’s Pizza has given me life. As I left after the resurrection of my hope in humanity, I exchanged one last knowing look with the friendly folks behind the counter. Salute, and salud. God bless this pizza, God bless America. –Celeste’s husband

Great pizza! The service was a little odd; everyone stared at us in a silent vigil until we ordered. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend this place. Reminds me of my favorite pizza place back home.

EXCELLENT pizza. I am so happy this joint is in my neighborhood. My usual is sausage and pepperoni pizza dine-in. The pizza is always fresh tasting and piping hot. Very satisfying.

Maybe I just picked a bad day, but I have never had so much garlic on a pizza in my life. 2 days later and my house still smells like garlic. And the green peppers were raw.

Still the best pizza ever. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, They added garlic powder to the selection on each table.

I have been to Carmine’s for a few months and it is consistently flavorful! It’s very basic from the ambience to the food and that’s perfectly ok! The pizza has wonderful, fresh ingredients and seasoned just right. Employees are great. If you want a place in the city yet secluded that serves NY style pizza, definitely try it out.

The perfect NY slice. The crust was thin and crisp and the sauce had great flavor. The décor reminded me a lot of the pizza places back in New York. Friendly staff and very quick service. Why get dominoes or Pizza Hut when you can get something much more authentic at Carmine’s

Authentic east coast neighborhood pizzeria… If you’re from the east coast, then you’ll appreciate the food at Carmine’s. My favorites are their antipasto salad and their Stromboli. The antipasto is probably the best I’ve had… Fresh Romane lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, cheese, ham, pepperoni and pepperchinies. They have several dressings though I always seem to order it with the vinegarette. Price is under $ 7 with tax. And it’s hard to find a place that knows how to make a Stromboli the way we grew up eating them. Loaded with cheese and meats with some extra sauce on the side. Would recommend giving it a try. The décor of and staff in this place make you feel like you’re back in New York.

The pizza here is actually quite good, I’ve ordered delivery for here multiple times throughout the years. Attempted to order today like usual and I was told I live to far.(I live in Addison) I mentioned I had ordered here multiple times and they said they no longer deliver then and I will need to order elsewhere(lol who says that?). Their suggested delivery area on their websites contradicts this(it specifically targets all of Addison– south of Campbell) so be mindful of this if you attempt to order for delivery, or if you were a repeat customer like myself and live in Addison, they apparently no longer deliver over here. Bummer.

Don’t expect«wood-fired» pizza, or anything fancy. This is your typical strip center pizza joint serving NY style pizza. There are no waiters or full table service. You order and pay for your food at the counter, then they call out your order for pickup. However, if you order a baked pasta dish, they usually bring it to your table. The décor isn’t much, and it’s doubtful you’d impress anyone by taking them here on a first date. But the pizza is pretty good, and it’s a good place to grab a slice if you’re in the neighborhood. I’ve only had their pizza, so I can’t comment on their other food items.

Okay, I will admit, some of the staff here are just a little brusque, but it’s New York style pizza; I don’t see how that can be anywhere far from a «New York style» experience. However, they always recognize me and you can tell they appreciate their customers. Out of about 50+ visits, the only things I’ve had here has been the garlic bread(I wasn’t a fan of it), the Stromboli(a little below average), and the pizza. I always want to try something different, but the pizza is too good to pass up. I’ve tried so many different pizza places, even a few in New York, but I always come back here and think that the pizza is so much better. The pizza here is nothing that’ll blow you away, but what makes it so good is it has such a greatly balanced flavor that doesn’t leave any aftertaste, and no single ingredient overpowers another. The crust has very pleasant texture and crunch, and the slices are big but not too big. Another huge plus is, the largest here is much bigger than ones at pizza chain restaurants, yet the pizza here costs even less. That’s even if you get delivery. I got delivery once and it was remarkably quick, the gentleman was nice, and the pizza itself was hot and had everything I asked for on it. The coke machine has good coke, but it annoyed me one time when I paid the $ 2 to use it and it was completely out of CO2(only syrupy water was coming out). They offered me nothing in return. New York style service :)! Jokes aside, the pizza here is simply great and at least worth a try

I’ve been eating here for almost 20 years, and the pizza is consistently great. If you’re looking for NY style pizza, this is as good as it gets. Their sandwiches are awesome, too. I personally love that the same 4 or 5 people have been behind the counter for as long as I’ve been a customer. This is what a pizza place is to me, and I’m grateful to have it close enough to enjoy it.

Really fresh and good quality pizza. Growing up in New York, I miss those slices of pizza that you can’t get here in Texas but this comes a little close to New York style pizza. I always get my pie to go and they always have it ready, hot, and fresh for me when I pick up. They’re real Italian guys and also nice.

Carmines presents excellent, consistent NY slices with quality ingredients. Good lunch specials — just — stick with the dough-based entrees — pizza, calzone, sausage rolls. They’re plenty crispy, and mighty flavorful. My recent linguine with white clam sauce was simply a huge pile of clams on top of a pile of spaghetti — it was not linguine. Almost no olive oil, no garlic, no peppers, no flavors whatsoever to blend with the clams, but at $ 7.50, how loudly can I complain? My wife had the lasagna and said it was, «alright». Well, alright then. When around Addison, it’s definitely worth a stop for the pizza. See if you can get the counter help to crack I smile. Good luck.

Everyone seems to rave about their NY style pizza. I came here on a Tuesday night at 6PM and the place was empty, a surprise considering the good Unilocal reviews. But I was in a pasta mood. You order and pay at the front, they prep it, and bake it while you wait. They’ll call you to pick up your salad, and you have to pick up your utensils, fill up your drink, take a seat and wait for the pasta. The bus person brings you the pasta. So in some respects it’s a fast food, and in some respects, it’s casual dining. It’s deinitely a family owned and operated restaurant in a strip mall with limited parking. When I asked what their most popular pasta dishes were, the owner said, «They’re all good.» but that wasn’t my question. Ay… anyway, I picked lasagne. It’s prepared single serving, baked in a metal tray rather than baked in a dish and cut out free standing as a multi layered piece. And, I’d definitely describe it was a wet lasagne with more melted cheese and tomato sauce on top and around the pasta. The pasta was a not al dente with all the liquid but had good flavor. It was on the lighter side, not a ddep dark heavy robust tomato sauce but for me, lighter but still nicely spiced. It wasn’t a huge piece, either, but very good deal at $ 8 served with simple salad and swimming in the dressing of your choice. I loved the very light and warm bread, though and served with butter, it was my favorite thing. It’s a BYOB place, only soft drinks are available, so be prepared for that. Overall, I would come here more often if I lived in the area with the nice price and very casual atmosphere.
