I have been coming here since I was in my teens. I’m 30 now and glad to say it’s one of the few local Carrollton music shops still open today. The owner knows me by name and is an awesome person! If they don’t have what you want he’ll order it quickly. Plus he takes and gives recommendations. I’ve discovered many a bands through him and gotten so many good deals through him too. He also sells movies and video games, goes to concerts, keeps up with old and modern stand up comedians and just an overall nice person to talk to. I’m lucky to live close to his store again and stop by whenever I can. I’d hate to learn one day that he had to shut down so stop by and support local music shops! He’ll special order.

This is an awesome and cozy CD store nestled in a strip mall. It has the feel of all of the great hole-in-the-wall CD stores that thrived during the nineties. The reward program is great as well. You get free CDs for buying CDs. The owner/operator Chris is very knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Love this place. Chris is great and most likely if you are looking for vintage to current music they have it. I love the collections and hard to find vinyl and CDs could be right here at this store! Highly recommended.

I am old school and like to actually buy music, not download it. Every time I go in here, I find something I «need» to have. They have a great point system, and will special order anything you want. Great store !! And it helps to shop local.

This place is too legit. The atmosphere there was like nothing you’ll find in Dallas. Just a real, old school music store. Chris has to be the coolest guy in Dallas and he knows his stuff. The selection is massive, the price is great, and there’s even a cool rewards program there. I’ll be buying all my music from there from now on. The location is also pretty centralized.

i always see the shotty little sign but this place is lightyears ahead of its sign outside, go inside and be daunted by the REALMUSIC everywhere! whens the last time youve seen a real music store i got something random from the electronic section and the new MIA album.(total $ 19) that price is cheaper than buying on itunes and you get a REAL tangible copy. BOTH cd’s are bangers. when i asked chris where the new mia tape was he pulled it out for me as if he had been waiting for me to ask that question all day and pointed me to where i should look for deals in his store everyday. i had such a good experience i contemplated employment at this location. however even with the prices being alittle extreme in some cases i can imagine that hes not looking for employees. i should atleast inquire. and i love that i get a free CD at 10 points! i already have 5! woot! i shall actually walk around the whole store next time i visit as i was awe striken by the REAL Electronic MUSIC for sale right down the street from my apartment.

The owner, Chris, is awesome and really knows his products. For those who don’t like the prices… genius and good conversation while shopping is not free.

Another genuinely great CD store in the city of Carrollton. The owner, Chris, is a funny guy who will always openly strike up a great conversation with you. New CDs are a bit pricey, but not an arm and a leg by any means. I’d say they’re a dollar or two less than Barnes and Noble or Borders. The point system is a charm. For every ten points you receive, you get a free used CD. Chris also provides cult films and hard to acquire titles on DVD. He can recommend just about anything to you. Just ask.

This is an excellent CD /DVD store in Carrollton. While new CDs can be a little pricey, they’re not more than what you would pay at a Barnes and Noble. Of course, this store sells used and new items. One of the neat things is the«point» policy… for every used CD, or DVD item you get 2 points. For every new CD or DVD item, you get 1 point. When you accrue 10 points, you get to select a free used item from anywhere in the store(I believe it’s up to 8.00 or something like that, and if you select something more, you only have to pay the difference.) Additionally, they have a pretty nice selection of clearance CDs that are buy one, get one free. And there’s some okay stuff in it.

This CD store is great, I have had the chance to shop there a few times and I feel like it has a great approach to the whole used CD store concept. Things that set CD universe apart from the competition… 1. The CDs are sorted not just alphabetically but have similar bands next to each other(ex. Ugly Casanova would be next to Modest Mouse, being a side project) 2. I always see the same guy working there and he always super helpful and knows his store WELL. 3. The store works on a 10 point system to earn free CDs, used CDs are 2 points and new CDs are 1 point… so free CDs can be earned twice as fast compared to other CD stores. The only thing that brings the store down is the selection is rather limited, it can get really hot in the store(common man setup some ceiling fans or something to get some airflow) and the CD organization is confusing if you are looking for a specific CD. That being said if you ask the guy working where a specific CD is he can lead you straight to it no problem.

It’s a decent small used CD and DVD store with a few deals scattered throughout the store. The owner is really nice, but to be honest the prices on some of the items aren’t a deal. What is nice that there is a 2 for $ 10 used DVD section, which one might find a gem or two.
