My husband loves the club sandwich here and my teen loves the triple stack burger and the fries. We usually stop off here when we are passing through the DFW airport.

Remember that Grade D/Edible meat they served in elementary school as Salisbury Steak? I think it resurfaced at the Champps restaurant at Dallas-Ft Worth Airport. In this case it was disguised as a sausage patty in the Breakfast Croissant Sandwich. I’m still tasting it — a week later! But I’m getting ahead of myself. I wanted a decent breakfast while killing a solid 2 hours between morning flights at DFW. Champps offered the choice of about 7 different breakfast entrees, such as the Breakfast Croissant that I chose. Everything was $ 8-$ 9(not including a beverage). I was served pretty fast and the Breakfast Croissant was hot, surrounded by a hearty serving of diced, fried potatoes. I thought the Croissant tasted bad though. It was very greasy and that sausage had a slimy earthy taste, perhaps like earthworms. The croissant looked good but was loaded with butter(or margarine?). The egg and cheese looked good too but was also a grease pit. My server was nice but I couldn’t seem to find her when I wanted to pay the bill and get going. When I realized the breakfast sandwich, coffee and tip ended up being well over $ 14 I was miffed. You can do a lot better at Mac Donald’s, which is where I’ll go next time I’m stuck at DFW in the morning.

Champps Americana Terminal D at DFW Airport in Texas was my late night dinner spot in-between flights. The sports bar atmosphere is everything you’d expect. But then, it took forever to get seated by a fairly rude hostess. And the service was kind of hurried because I got there at 8:35pm and the kitchen closes at 8:45pm. So I ordered the first thing I saw on the menu. Philly-cheese with veggies took 20 minutes. The food was okay. And I couldn’t get a refill of ice tea, because they’re cleaning up. Also they gave me the wrong check. That took forever to correct. Then it was time to board my flight back to Seattle. That hour-and-a-half just flew!
