TOTALLYUNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFULANDDOERSOFBADBUSINESS… Do yourself a favor and do not use this business. You know it’s bad when you call a company to complain and the«complaint department» is outsourced to another company. What do you think that means? WOW… Yeap, a lot of complaints, to many for Covance to handle. It also means that you have no recourse to resolve issues because when you call the number given by Covance and register your concerns, they tell you that someone will get back to you in 5 days. Wow, that was problem resolution. However I stated my concern but I do not expect and actions.

I agree with another reviewer, you might want to think twice about going to this place. I had a similar bad experience. First off, the building is old — gives off a bad vibe. After fasting for 12 hours the night before, I arrived 30 minutes early thinking I could get a head start on any paperwork. Wrong. The frosted glass window doesn’t slide open until right at 8:00. The person explaining the paperwork didn’t convey any emotion. No one working here is warm & friendly. You get the sense that they don’t take much pride in their jobs. The young girl who took us back to the conference room identified herself but she didn’t make eye contact — strange. Then they have you wait in this little open waiting area where you wait to be called to get weighed, etc. Instead of the tech coming out from behind the privacy curtain to call you, they’re pretty much hidden and you’re supposed to figure out where the voice is coming from. The EKG took about 30 minutes because the tech was having trouble getting all the contacts to read. She had to keep re-snapping things in place over & over. Then came the blood draw. That guy was cool but I could tell he was new because some chick came in and told him he couldn’t use the tiny needle and that he had to use the big honking needle. When he questioned why, she told him that’s just what they need to do and that«they need to have good veins». Like I’m some kind of drug addict or something! I got the impression that they’re used to dealing with a low clientele just by their demeanor and by the way they interact with clients. The highlight of my experience came when I was once again sitting in their little interior waiting area and the same bossy chick appeared at the end of the long hallway and called my name. I turned to gather my belongings and when I turned back around, she had disappeared! I guess I’m supposed to go wandering around looking in every room to find her! Once I walked into the room she told me to have a seat so she could go over my medical history and she didn’t even have the courtesy to introduce herself. No sense of propriety. After 2 ½ hours of going through all their rigamorole I was disqualified because I had taken a prescribed medication within the last 90 days. You would THINK they would ask that question FIRST when they pre-qualify you over the phone. What a waste of time but it’s OK — I was glad to leave and I think they may have done me a huge favor.

Do not go to this place. They were short-staffed on my screening day and from listening to the staff complain while I was there, they knew they would be but did not call the day before or advise any of us during the initial consultation that the screening could take longer than the allotted 4 hours. You heard right they want you to wait up to 4 hours to eat after you already had to fast 12 hours! Most of us were there at least 4 hours which means we had not eaten in 16 hours! I finally walked out after 4 hours and all I had left was my blood draw. If you are late for your appointments they threaten to withhold your compensation but they have no problem making you starve for 16 hours. This is a disgrace! The person doing the blood draws was going the slowest when that was the only thing we had to do in order to eat! They should do all the blood draws first so people can eat! If they might run over their time and they know it, they need to tell people! Stay away from this place. You have been warned.

Sometimes if you find yourself strapped for cash and you are healthy you can go here and they will test new medications on you and pay you for it. They explain everything to you before during a screening visit. Most studies pay $ 2k-$ 5k varying on the length of your stay and other factors. They do test you for alcohol, nicotene, caffeine, other drugs, etc. at the screening visit. It is usually a good deal because you don’t spend any money while inside there and you get paid at the end. They provide a bed and meals while you are inside. The only bad thing about this place is you have to share a room with 7 other guys in bunk beds. Sometimes the other guys talk a lot loudly, are crazy, snore loud, stink etc. But whatever, this kind of thing isn’t for wimps.
