Was good. Bad parking is a garage up by chrisites steak. -#1 is spicy. #1 was best if three though. Not sure would fight downtown to come back. But would if in the area and nothing new for us was.

I was in the uptown area for a recent closing and it was lunchtime and my tummy was grumbling. My wife and I decided to go downstairs and look at plethora of options available. Crushcraft caught my attention… the name of the restaurant sounds more like a video game than what it really is… so we gave it a try. I got the fresh rolls and Tom Kha soup #10 and Steph got the Khao Phat-Thai Fried Rice… I also ordered the cucumber, mint water for the day… needless to say everything was fresh and delicious. My fresh rolls were just the right portion(I got the chicken) and plenty of hot sauces to choose from! The fried rice was plenty enough for 2 people, so ½ of it ended up going home… very yummy and I liked that the restaurant was using eco friendly plates and plastic ware. We ate outside in their fantastic patio space and enjoyed the beautiful day!

THISPLACEISSOGOOD. Now, allow me to breakdown that statement. Before I set out to Dallas, I was searching for some good hole-in-the-wall restaurants because those always end up being my favorite ones. crushcraft was thrown out by many, many Texans, so my expectations walking into the restaurant were extremely high. I tried both the Drunken Noodles(Phat Ke Mao) and OG Phat Thai. I originally ordered the Drunken Noodles for dinner, but having gone out of my way to go to crushcraft, I decided that I would eat that in the restaurant, and then order something else for dinner. Note: This is how you gain weight. Oh my gosh, the Drunken Noodles were the bomb. I am the condiment queen, emptying Sriracha and soy sauce bottles left and right… BUT, BUT, I didn’t need to add hot sauce to this dish! It was already packed with flavor. The ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes were so fresh too. I like how they used tomato bits rather than slices. The Phat Thai was a great dish too. Crispy and crunchy with the bean sprouts and peanuts. Super fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat it all as I had already inhaled my Drunken Noodles only an hour or two prior. They have an amazing condiment selection… Seriously, I have never witnessed such beauty. From hot oil to crushed pepper to chili paste to Sriracha to lemons and limes to jalapenos… they’ve got you covered. Spicy eaters, you are in great hands. The Thai iced tea is damn good too. Just the right amount of cream, a pretty rare phenomenon from where I come from. Great décor and atmosphere, nice food packaging, cheap prices, friendly staff, and awesome food. I wish I didn’t live 1,774 miles away, but it’s better for my health…

Everything is great! Quick and easy! I especially love #5 with the coconut Tom khan soup. I ordered the lettuce wraps once… But they were WAYTOO spicy! Make sure to give them your slice level when you order. :)

You will leave craving more… so you might as well order some to go. I am already salivating while I write this review. Glad I found it and I am glad this place opens late! First thing you will notice is the décor which is quite amusing in here, they use the food boxes as wall paper and keep the sauce/spices/and rice out in the open as décor which is a nice touch. I have only seen one other place that has done this so I have a feeling this is the new style of attract the masses restaurants. The food is fast and served hot(temperature, not sure about flavor) I got the following 1) Prah Kao — A bit on the oily side, but the flavors of the ground pork with sunny side up egg are a match made to send you tripping into the feeling that you are eating southern comfort food. 2) PhatKeMao — A bit on the oily side as well but the flavors are well balanced and the fat noodles are not clumped together. 3) tom kha gai soup — this will set your tastebuds on their way to a party that’s out of control. I swear the soup has so many different flavors you will be left in awe if you can handle them that is. Overall I can’t wait to go back, by far some of the best thai I have had in a LONGTIME.

This was delicious and such a great portion. I almost wish I had more fried egg with it. They have a bar of different hot chili sauces or peppers to eat with this which was awesome. The dish was savory, slightly sweet, and was very mild in heat. I got their #3 which was a ground meat basil stir fry over rice with fried egg. At 7.99 it was a steal! Their Thai iced tea is delicious(2.99). The food was fast, fresh, and I can’t wait to try other dishes the next time I go to uptown Dallas. The seating area has very high ceilings and the restaurant just has a great, open ceiling, simple concept going on, though the cardboard boxes covering the pillars is kind of bizarre. There’s tons of outside seating too. Everything is under $ 10 per entrée. This place is delicious — do your tastebuds a flavor and check it out!

I wanted to go to this place so bad! When I finally stopped by I was so excited and this place definitely exceeded my expectations! The decoration was so pretty and different and everytime I looked up, it just looked so cool! I had the drunken noodles, a cup of the tom cha gai soup and the orange ginger water. To begin with, the portion sizes were huge! This was my first time trying thai food and was afraid that the flavors might be too much… but I was proven wrong! the drunken noodles were really flavorful, and I was really suprised that there was so much meat in there! The tom cha gai soup was really different from other types of soups I ever had. and I think it is definately my favorite! Overall, this place is amazing and I will definately be coming back soon!

I’ve walked past this place so many times but never chose it over my usual Thai restaurants until tonight. Now I wish I hadn’t waited so long. Their khao soi is made with chicken and was simply incredible. Like all great Thai dishes it was a real mix of flavors, the spice dominant but not overly so, and the pickled greens adding a wonderful sour and sweet note. Crunchy noodles added the requisite texture and there was plenty of richness from the egg and the curry sauce. Just brilliant — surprisingly well executed for $ 9 before tax. That’s the only dish I’ve had but it certainly won’t be the last. Maybe not even the last this week.

This place is walking distance from our new place, and with nearly 400+ Unilocal reviews making it 4 stars, I needed to see it for myself. First impression: love the earth friendly vibe, all food is served in Togo style cardboard, so this place is definitely«green» and conserving water, kudos to them, I’m instantly a supporter. They’ve got Thai beer too, which hubby and I both had never tried and enjoyed. I ordered the #7 which was a curry dish of sorts, with crispy wonton crackers on top, a hard boiled egg and some pickled veggie that added some good balancing sour flavor to cut the spice; I found it very creative in design and tasty, but wished the egg hadn’t been quite so hard boiled because it lost the yoke flavor that would have enhanced the dish further. So, not the best curry in town, but the price and portion were both on pare, so we’ll be going back again to get our fix. Inside décor is very hipster in design, but I dig it. One other cool thing, right by the fountain drinks they offer 6 different spicy sauces made from a variety of chilies and other Thai spices, I’ve never come across a «serve yourself» sauce station but I think it’s ingenious and tried a little of everything, this is a great addition for the spicy addicts, which I consider myself to be. Great place. Check it out. Expand your palette.

Crushcraft is crushin’ it! It’s a solid 4 stars at 2am but I wonder if it’s actually 2 stars at 4pm. Hm… I feel like the menu wasn’t very drunk-proof. I expected it to read«Pad Thai» and«Tom Yum Soup» but it was much more foreign than I could handle after a night of drinking. I manned up and deciphered the menu enough to order the beef with eggplant. The meat was flavorful but I was secretly looking forward to more eggplant. Also, they need much larger water cups.

On the Dallas Eater 38 list(as of 10⁄15) My coworker and I decided to check out Crushcraft since we were in the mood for Thai food. We came on a Tuesday night around 8:30pm, and the restaurant wasn’t that full at that time. You order at the counter first, then they call your name when your order is ready and you also pick it up at the counter. We tried: From Bottom L to R: #7 Khao Soi(Egg Noodle, Chicken, Curry Sauce, Shallots, Mustard Green, Crispy Noodle Topper, Chili Oil, Boiled Egg, $ 8.99), Grilled Beef + Pork Meatballs($ 3.75), Thai Fried Boiled Eggs($ 3.95), #5OG Phat Thai(Rice Noodle, Chicken, Tofu, Tamarind Sauce, Bean Sprouts, Chive, Lime, Peanuts, $ 8.99) [ : The fried boiled eggs were disappointing, and the exterior was kind of chewy versus crispy– skip. The grilled beef + pork meatballs were good, and seasoned well. The khao soi was flavorful, and tasty, but I wasn’t a fan of the mustard greens, which were too sour/pickled. Although this was good, it wasn’t as good as the pad thai, which is their #1 seller, and it’s easy to see/taste why. This is one of the better versions of pad thai I’ve had in a while, and I would definitely order this again. They have plenty of tables to sit at inside, and I loved that they had a chili/pepper bar where you can try all the different chilis. The most difficult part about dining here is the parking, since there was very limited street parking from what I could see.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, but didn’t want to make the drive. I went one day for lunch with my brother and cousins. Overall, I thought the food was standard. Pad thai — The portion was HUGE, which is always a plus. The noodles the used were a little thicker than I’m used to. It was just a standard pad thai for me. The price is fair, but I don’t think i’ll come back.

Crushcraft is located in the heart of uptown, open late; perfect stop after a night out on in Uptown. The menu isn’t too extensive as most thai places, but hence the name street eats; it has the essentials. A friend and I came and went with the #1 Drunken noodles and the Red curry and some tofu fries. The drunken noodles were great, a good spice to it and packed a lot of flavor. If it isn’t spicy enough for you, they have a spice area where you can add more chili flakes, chili garlic hot sauce, sriracha, jalapenos. The red curry was good, just with it had a bit more meat. The tofu fries are served with the sweet and spicy sauce thats typically served with egg rolls — delish. I’ll be back to try other items on the menu!

Thought I’d give this place a second chance and ordered a variety of dishes to sample. We got the phat thai, the drunken noodles, the khao soi and the papaya salad with chicken satay. I thought the phat thai wasn’t all that great, it had a bit too much fish sauce, not enough peanuty or lime flavor. The noodles had good texture but I wouldn’t be getting this again. The drunken noodles were quite good, great flavor, good hint of spice and lots of meat. Although the portion size was pretty decent, I was hoping for a bit more noodles to even the meat/noodle ratio but it is good nonetheless. The khao soi was very interesting and the first of it’s kind that I’ve tried. It was a pleasant surprise! The curry flavor wasn’t overpowering and it had a generous amount of chicken in the curry. The crisp noodles on top was a great addition to this dish as well. The papaya salad was wonderful! I really enjoyed this and will definitely be back for that. It had a very good balance of sweet/sour/spicy. The chicken satay it came with was very tender and flavorful as well. I didn’t expect so many pieces but I’m very glad it came with it, along with the coconut flavored sticky rice. The food here is quite delicious and I guess they are just insanely busy at lunch so service may be a bit spotty. It’s nice to have a Thai place around uptown that I can walk to from work!

I have to say, I was pretty damn impressed with the quality and taste of the food here at 3am. Living in Austin, I suffer from lack of good Thai food on a daily basis. It was a pleasant surprise to come here and get a solid Thai meal. Their menu is simple and to the point. The meal is served quickly and piping hot. The portion for the price is right on too. The décor inside is pretty Thaiesque and cool too. I got their Gang Panang Neau which is certified angus beef, panang curry, kaffir lime leaves and pickled veggies over rice. It was fantastic and only $ 9.95! There was a ton of beef, it was really tender and the panang curry very flavorful. I would recommend stopping by here if a local or just passing through. I’ll definitely come back when in Dallas.

/TL;DR Damn. I just loved this place. It’s so hard to find anywhere with sticky rice that isn’t served with mangos as a dessert. The prices are awesome, by the way. Excellent food, under the stars, watching planes go overhead. /ATMOSPHERE Seating galore and lots of it al fresco. /FOOD Excellent. I had the papaya salad with chicken. It comes with a side of sticky rice. It was amazeballs. I had it with a side of tofu fries. /SERVICE It’s mostly serve yourself. Order at the counter, pick up at the counter when they call your name. HOWTOREADMYREVIEWS: 1 Star — Does not approach edible. Another 5-star rating from the moment I took my first bite. I got the #1 — Phat Ke Mao(Drunken Noodles). Wild rice noodle, ground beef, basil, bell pepper, tomatoes & crush chillies. One of the main things that triggered me that I knew I loved this from the jump, was that I really don’t like bell peppers & tomatoes, & I enjoyed both in that dish. Well seasoned, I really wished I knew what seasoning was being used because that & a sauce or oil that it was cooked in, it was very flavorful. I didn’t even add Sriracha & jalapeños, which is something I usually add automatically to Asian dishes. Also, their cucumber mint water was very refreshing. I highly recommend it. There’s that & the orange ginger water as well. I didn’t try that one but it’s possible if I come across this place again.

WELCOMETOTHAILAND. From the streets to the restaurants, Crushcraft displays a unique interior décor that resembles urban Thailand and a wide selection of intensely flavored dishes. Most of the dishes involve rice or egg noodles, or rice, along with meat or tofu, vegetables, and sauce(at the minimum slightly spicy). Place is inexpensive and is open late on Friday and Saturday nights up to 3AM! I also learned that they have delicious Thai Tea! If you haven’t tried it, today might be the day you do. This is that Thai restaurant that your best friend always talks about! Perfect to drown out the alcohol from bar hopping on the Weekend. THAIFOODAT3AMONFRI&SAT Late Night. Probably the only times I’m really craving Thai cuisine. The Food: Large portions for inexpensive prices. They are served in modern, recyclable containers, which is why I really respect this earth-friendly place. Very fragrant and flavorful due to the aromatic spices and chilis that are characteristic to Southeast Asian food. Phat Ke Mao-$ 7.99(AKA The Drunken Noodles): PERFECTFORSOAKINGUPTHEBOOZE. This entrée consists of wide rice noodles, ground beef, basil, bell peppers, onion, crushed chilies, and a slightly spicy sauce. The basil, bell peppers, onion, and chilis really wake up your sinuses and provide a lot of strong aromatics flavors. Combined together, they complement the plain rice noodles and ground beef. You taste less of the beef and more of the spices, vegetables, and sauce. If you need something that feels like a lot of carbs(carb loading, soaking up alcohol, going to run a half marathon), definitely go for this dish. I felt that the noodles were too soaked in thick sauce and the ground beef didn’t provide any meaty component(–1 star). Other than that, the bell peppers, onions, and chilis(without the beef) would make a perfect, flavorful vegetarian dish. Gang Penang Neua-$ 9.25: BEEF, SPICE, PANANGCURRY, and RICE. ALLYOUNEED. This entrée consists of the aforementioned jasmine rice, beef in Panang curry, and kaffir lime leaves. You can definitely taste the beefiness of the beef and Panang curry, combined with the refreshing spicy chilis and lime leaves that add a dimension of earthy flavor. The Panang curry sauce has a bit of heat, so be warned, it actually is spicy for some people. Overall, wished they added more sauce, but I didn’t think to ask for more. The refreshing briny, tangy pickles provided a refreshing treat to the strong beefy and curry flavors. Great balance in taste and intensity, especially if you’re looking for a solid, filling meal. The Verdict: YOULIKETHAIFOOD? YOU’LLLIKECRUSHCRAFT. Inexpensive, open late on Fri and Sat, perfect for soaking up the alcohol, and great interior decorations and atmosphere. This is Thai street foods in full display in Dallas and a definite treat for people that like Thai food and want to venture beyond Pad Thai. Crushcraft exhibits bold flavors in their food and are not afraid to test your tastebuds with heat, spices, and aromatic vegetables. I’d go for the Gang Penang Neua and other dishes on my next visit.

There are a lot of reasons I like this place. 1. Good food, 2. Fast service, and 3. SO satisfying after a night out. There’s usually a pretty long line around 2AM on weekends, but it moves fast, and the food is definitely worth it. When you walk in, you can automatically smell the fish sauce, which can only mean good things. The first time I tried their food was actually at a Unilocal event, and I’m so glad I did! I’ve been back at least 3 times since. I usually order either the #1 Phat Ke Mao or the #3 Kra-Pao, both of which are delicious(but beware, can be spicy for weak people like me). And I love that the Kra Pao comes with a fried egg on top. My boyfriend, who is half Thai, said that both dishes are pretty authentic, so I believe him! Also, they have a huge assortment of different hot sauces you can add to your food.
