I came here for dinner with a group of 6 and we lucked out and were seated in a private wine room which was so perfect to have a nice dinner with family! Our server Derek was awesome, very attentive and accommodating. One of the desserts we got had cracker jacks on top and after requested an extra side he had no complaints about getting that for us :) Not only was Derek great, but the rest of the service was as well. From the hostess, to the additional staff that helped with our drinks and bringing out our food. Before our meal began they brought tiny tastes for us, I honestly can’t remember what they were but it was a fun treat to get to try a specialty item the chef brought out for us. We then had the tuna tacos as an appetizer and those were fantastic and were the perfect size to hold us over until our dinner came. For dinner I had the filet which was one of the better ones I’ve ever had. So soft and juicy and cooked perfectly like I had requested. Others from the group got the pork chops and said they were phenomenal as well. No complaints for this restaurant. They had great service and the food was delicious as well.

a great poolside-brunch spot. it’s all about the bottomless mimosas and pigs in a snuggie. johnny was our server and he went above and beyond. he was also easy on the eyes, so maybe ask for him, if that’s your thing.

Best meal I’ve had in years. Ive frequently visited Zaza in Houston, but this place is so much better. My server Derek was informative without being intrusive, he helped guide me to the fantastic fish special and on point lamb appetizer. Every piece of the meal was perfect, it was reason enough to come back to Dallas again. Met with Scotty, a delightful member of their culinary team randomly as he was walking through the dining room. The friendliness of the staff is one of the best assets of this Hotel, that has always been my favorite part of the experience. Well done!

Everything was great! Accommodated our party of 6 and service was spot on. Derrick, our server, was concise and genuine in all of his recommendations! We couldn’t say no! After tequila cocktails, lamb lollipops, scallops, and Dr. Pepper Popsicles, I was the happiest(not so little anymore) bear. Definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone — ask for Derrick!

I just hosted a graduation brunch/lunch here and had a wonderful experience. Maritza helped plan the event and was so helpful. We had 25 guests and everyone loved their brunch items and the setting is very pretty. We took great photos by the pool afterwards. It is a very fun spot for a small party. Thank you Maritza… and the day of the event– Brandt, Juan and Johnny did a wonderful job taking care of us.

Great hang for business meet beverages prior to a dinner elsewhere. Funky vibe and tunes combined with strong cocktails then great professional service make this perfect spot to enjoy biz company. Would imagine beverages then dinner a nice time at night here also. Am thinking to stay at ZaZa hotel next time in Dallas just to be able to end day here.

Where to start. For the price and a few reviews online stating that this is one of the best brunches in town, I came in with high hopes. I ordered a double espresso and some fruit to start. Crab eggs Benedict to follow. It was all down hill after that. The pseudo barista does not make a decent espresso… over extracted and no crema. One of the eggs was overdone and some kind of potato dish on the side was over cooked. I could not tell based on how burnt it was. Oh here comes the fruit plate after the meal. When the maitre d asked how everything was I told him very average to not good. He smiled and said«great enjoy». Save your money go to taco cabana

We celebrated my 29th birthday here with dinner and drinks(since we were staying at Zaza, anyway) and I couldn’t have been happier :) It was absolutely perfect! Right from the start, the restaurant gives off a lush, elegant vibe without the«30K millionaires» you typically find in uptown ;) You know what I mean– this place was packed with laidback people just looking to celebrate and have a good time. We were seated in the backroom as we had a small group. This room had pictures of random celebrities mounted on the walls which we found funny(random, but entertaining, as the décor tends to be at Zaza). The food was **amazing** :D We had the lamb for appetizers, complimentary appetizers from the chef(brownie points!), and I had the steak & frites for dinner. Soooooooooo good. Also, our server kept the rosé flowing all night which was definitely appreciated. Which brings me to another note; The service was incredible!!! Our server was so attentive, friendly, energetic, and helpful. He even brought us a round of comped drinks since they were running a little behind(we didn’t even notice) AND complimentary desserts for my birthday :) He was the absolute best.(At the beginning, we even had our baby there –just for a short time– and he made sure baby was comfy by bringing him extra pillows… love.) Afterwards, we enjoyed hours of dancing and fun outside on the covered patio. They cover the pool nicely and feature a live DJ with fab catwalk video playing in the background. What a way to bring in my birthday! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for a fun night out or celebration of sorts. Just go!

So we celebrated our anniversary at Dragonfly. We are so impressed by the food, ambiance and the service. Located at the Hotel Zaza, Drangonfly is a stunning restaurant. We loved the calamari salad. Hands down the best calamari I have had! The spicy ahi tuna tacos were amazing and the lamb chops were perfection! We had a wonderful time and a special shout out to DEREK who made sure we had the best time and he actually took care of the dessert and a round of drinks! We are surely going back!

Dragonfly is hip, chic, and exclusive! Inside the Zaza complete with doormen, guest list of the Who’s Who in town and velvet ropes. Outside on the patio is the younger, hipper vibe with an outside bar and smoking. Inside is a mix of four tops, high tops, booths, and a large long bar for socializing! I saw one private dining/wine room/chefs room! There really wasn’t cocktail service when I was there probably because It was game day weekend and it was full! Bars were 2 deep all night long. Dress code in effect and I would imagine if you’re not a hotel guest, on the list or know somebody you’re not getting in this place! Cool thing happened out of nowhere. Young lady/hostess is walking through the crowd with a silver bowl full of lighted rings for the ladies! Yes sir, this place is just that classy!

Upon a recommendation from friend, I came to Dragonfly on a Tuesday afternoon to get a few drinks. Located in the trendy Hotel Zaza, Dragonfly is a really cool and snazzy bar that attracts the yuppie crowd. The venue alone is worth the trip as it has the look of a high end 80’s bar in Miami. The windows in the bar look right into the really nice pool area, which only adds to the aesthetics of the place. They have a pretty good spirit selection and the bar area is huge. The drinks themselves are ok, certainly nothing special. I had an old fashioned and one of their other cocktails which were both just ok. However the main plus is that they have a large variation of all spirit types. Overall I’d say it’s worth it to try this place based on atmosphere alone. Seems like a place that would be a lot of fun on Friday and Saturday night. Either way, if you’re looking for a higher end bar experience with a similar kind of clientele, this is your spot.

While the cocktails are unique and very well-crafted, the atmosphere and loudness of the bar is not the place to be for a casual hangout. It is bumping and pulsing with loud and aggressive music, but it can be fun for dancing! The actual venue is very regal and cool in my opinion. It is surprisingly not a big place at all, but instead meant to be a close quarters kind of bar. When it comes to pricey drinks, the Dragonfly does not skimp. But in reality, it is no more expensive than your typical Uptown bar. The waiting staff is very attentive, helpful, and fun. They bring a certain energy that matches the vibes of the bar.

Amazing food! I loved the Calamari Salad and the lollipop lamb chops were perfection! Taco’s were also amazing and the Filet Mignon was also very tasty. Best Lemon Drops EVER!!! Can’t wait to go again in October.

I made dinner reservations at Dragonfly on a Monday night to celebrate my birthday. We arrived at 7:30 and were immediately seated in their lovely dining room. The restaurant is truly stunning. Dark and sexy, the chandeliers and artsy photos of celebrities on the walls lend a sultry vibe to the place, while the white tablecloths and long-stem wine glasses on the tables keep it classy. We were seated in a cozy corner of the back room, and when we requested the regular dinner menu(as opposed to the Restaurant Week menu) we were accommodated. Among the four of us we tried a lot of different dishes. Some highlights were the Green Veggie Handkerchief Pasta(fresh, handmade pasta in a scrumptious cream sauce) and the garlic mashed potatoes. We also tried several of their salads(all delicious) and the Ahi Tuna Tacos(which were just all right). One particularly unique flavor was the basil-infused watermelon that was served with my father’s chicken dish. Definitely worth ordering if it’s on the menu when you visit. For dessert, we shared the Lemon Basil Crème Brûlée(served with white chocolate chip blueberry cookies) and the Berries, Fruit & Edible Flowers. The crème brûlée was certainly unique, but the cookies were underwhelming and cloyingly sweet. The berries were $ 10 for a few raspberries, blackberries and cantaloupe, not really worth it. The service was good if not stellar(coffee was not refilled, bread request went unfulfilled) but when the server heard it was my birthday he comped one of our desserts, which was very sweet. Overall, it was a nice place to celebrate a special occasion. Some of the food was excellent while other items were not. A solid four-star experience, because when you factor in atmosphere and the general good time we had, I am a fan.

I was sent in to do restaurant/bar review by an independent outside company. The staff at the bar were very welcoming and friendly. The bar manager even pulled out my chair for me. I did some light bites and a few drinks and loved it all. A bit overpriced in my opinion but Hotel Zaza is on the super expensive side as well so they have to keep up. Very quick to bring out the food and the lamb chops were amazing as are the dumplings. I would return again for sure. Limited space so don’t try to bring a large group but fun and inviting atmosphere for a pre-dinner drink.

I came here as part of a bachelor party and not being the«club» or ‘lounge” type of guy, this place was not bad. You definitely feel the status as there is a red carpet and velvet rope separating you from the entry to the doors themselves. The bouncer was nice and very professional. Once inside, the décor is white and clean. There are a handful of smaller tables and the bar area is energetic. We had bottle service and was right next to the DJ spinning. This was a stop for many other similar parties to ours as people came, got one drink, and then left. My point is that there was always something new to look at. There is also an outdoor area to hang out at that is cozy.
