The price was a steal for my husband and I’s lip piercings and my nose piercing. The place seems to be clean and up to par on regulations. Have been to, hung out in, and befriended quite a few tattoo shops/artists in Louisiana, Texas, and Florida. Of all the shops I have been to, I won’t say this location isn’t friendly but I don’t see myself ever going back. The chemistry just wasn’t here for me but for another it may be quite a different experience. Rating is based on pricing, overall impression of the establishment, interaction with the staff.

Curtis and JJ are the best. Everyone there is awesome. Very clean, professional, beautiful, well done work, that is not only thought out but NEVERRUSHED. I went to Suffer city first and got greeted by some punk teenager named Taylor who thinks his shit doesn’t stink. I hate tat shops that think they are holier than thou and us lowly people are just coming in just wanting a tat. I’m not new to this. This is my 10th ink. Everyone in Suffer City was an ass except this one Hispanic dude who is super cool. GOTOCONTRABANDANDASKFORJJORCURTIS. 100% PROFESSIONALS. I appreciate service like that when I go into a place looking for something that is going to be on me for life. Pics will follow. I am a customer for LIFE. Going back to get dermals, sleeves, and more piercings. Ask for JJ for your piercings, and Curtis for your ink. :) PEACE!

went to contraband with my friend to get her naval and nose pierced. it was only $ 45 so we thought she was getting a great deal. WRONG! her nose piercing was fantastic, did a perfect job and still looks great. only thing — they failed to mention that you shouldn’t get your naval pierced with anything else. they did the naval second, and upon piercing they used a needle size too small… what?! amazing to me. then when they pulled it out and re-pierced it, it was crooked! she ended up passing out due to the double piercing and the mess up. they did a great job of talking to her and calming her down, but the overall service was poor. we decided to leave and now we have to spend more to get her piercing redone at a different tattoo shop. very disappointed. was hoping for better.

They did a decent job with my tattoo, but they didn’t do want my friend wanted for hers even though she was clear about what she wanted. When we were leaving the shop, my tattoo artist and another one was smoking weed outside the shop. So, I feel like what if they were smoking and was stoned during the tattoo? I’m never going back there again. Ink Workz will always be my place to go.

It’s a tattoo shop. It’s everything you expect a tattoo shop to be like. They have a friendly staff. They talk to you as if you guys are friends. It’s a chill place, seems like it could get busy. Business seems good. I went here to get a piercing with a friend of mine. After browsing trying to find the cheapest rate, this place was the cheapest amongst all. My rook piercing was $ 20, set up fee and tip, total was $ 30. My friend’s nose piercing was $ 15 without set up fee and tip. I don’t understand the set up fee. It’s a little deceiving. Most tattoo shops I’ve been to gives you a flat rate. Otherwise, the piercer was friendly, the receptionist was chill, artists were in their zone. I’ll come back if I ever decide to get any other piercings.

Ok, so I usually don’t talk bad about anyone and I really dislke to. Never the less, in this case I just have to be very honest about my it has been about 3 years ago that I received a tatoo from the owner of the shop, so from the begging I felt a little uneasy even being there because it looked a bit unstructured but the prices were good so I thought I’d give it a shot. when I met the owner I told him what I wanted, he went to the back to draw out some roses I wanted, on paper they looked great. When he placed the image on my skin for placement it looked ok, but at the same time it was a bit smudgy and I didn’t take too detailed of a look since I was kinda far away from the mirror. But I decided to trust his judgement, so we begin the tattoo, about 10 mins into the process he gets up and goes out for a smoke break. He did it twice, it was very unprofessional and rude. He did wash his hands when he came in but it was still pretty gross. I remember feeling a sick feeling like some thing was not right but I couldn’t see what he was doing. well, to make the long story short. The end result was horrible! He placed the two rose stems pointing the same direction, they were so out of balance and did not look proportionate. I am now currently spending more $ removing the tattoos with laser then I did for the tattoo itself. I do not recommend this place if you want a professional tattoo. think twice and do your research, I learned the hard way that u get what you pay for.
