gelato is slightly better than paciugo but still not real gelato The staff are very confident and generous about their opinion on the flavors I can’t say I agree with them. The presentation is nice

This place has got to be the best gelato spot in the DFW area! My boyfriend and I tried this place out for the first time last week and it was just amazing. They have so many different flavors and their display is presented in an elegant way. The only downside is that the store is a bit small so seating is very limited and we found ourselves standing, but one of the kind workers saw us stand and pulled out chairs from the back to let us sit down.(How nice!!!) The service was great and the prices seem reasonable. I’ll be sure to come back again in the near future!

The place is cute and trendy and has a huge variety of flavors to choose from. My favorite was the dark chocolate which was not overpowering with a cocoa flavor but perfectly flavored and had an absolute smooth texture to it. My second favorite was the coconut which had very finely chop shreds of coconut that did not allow the smoothness of the delighted to be lost. I was in line with a couple behind me but the owner Jackie completely overlooked me, even noticing my face of «hello?» and greeted the people behind me instead and served them for the next three minutes without acknowledging my presence. Her two other workers were very friendly and attentive and really put her own service to shame. Jackie, as an owner you should be the one to set the better example not the other way around. Thank goodness the gelato makes up for your lack of friendliness to all.

This was delicious and the staff was so nice! They have 38 different flavors and a wide variety of both chocolate and sweet flavors and more fruity sorbets. Will definitely be coming back.

My friend and I came in to try it out for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. I had the strawberry and champagne and the blackberry cabernet and I’d get it again. The service was wonderful and the manager really did a good job at making you feel attended to. Blending great gelato with great service is wonderful. My new gelato hot spot, sorry Pacugio

Delish. It really reminded me of Pacuigo’s, but I’d say that Frost’s gelato is a bit richer. I had the coconut and dark chocolate, both of which were fantastic. The coconut had little bits of coconut flakes, and the dark chocolate had little nibs of(yes, you guessed it) dark chocolate pieces. A nice little spot tucked in the new Preston Hollow Village.

I think this will be my new gelato place to go to. Paciugo was always my favorite but ever since they reduced the number of flavors allowed in my cup at the Northpark location and the bad service along with numerous fruit flies at the Lakewood location, left me only the West Village location which isn’t easy to get in/out of. This Frost is easily accessible and next to my favorite grocery store(Trader Joe’s). They have more flavors and choices than Paciugo. Their staff is friendly and helpful. They bring you a glass of water to your table… awesome! They also display the gelatos beautifully with cute details. The place is so clean, you could eat off the floor! And the best part is there are no signs of fruit flies or other insects. I think I tried about 6 flavors before I painfully decided on only 2 in a medium cup(small cup only gets 1 flavor). They were delicious! I was still full from lunch so the medium was a little much for me but I didn’t waste a drop! I couldn’t decide on just one flavor for the small. My daughter had the frozen chocolate yogurt and loved it – and she doesn’t eat chocolate yogurt.

This place is awesome. They have a wide variety. You can sample anything you want. You can mix flavors together. The staff and owner are very nice. I wish I lived closer to this location I would be here all the time.

WOW! What a fabulous addition to Preston Hollow Village. Although they opened up shop at an unfortunate time with it being winter time, there seems to be a steady crowd each time I go or walk by which is great because I really hope they make it. They have 30+ flavors of fresh gelato, sorbet and 1 frozen yogurt flavor, there is truly something for everyone. Their flavors are unique but not strange enough to deter you from wanting to try them all out. The staff is super helpful and the price point is spot on. I can’t wait to go back!

Eight in Chinese is THE lucky number, that said, I feel pretty privileged to be the 8th reviewer of Frost. I came here after dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday, I was with a big crowd that showed up 26 minutes before closing time, but the customer service was absolutely fantastic. They even sang happy birthday in Italian. The choices here a plentiful, ranging from your more decadent gelato flavors like Stracciatella to light fruit sorbets like blackberry cabarnet. I was pretty full from dinner so I settled for the classic-a strawberry sorbet. It was light, fresh, and very fruity. If you’re in the area doing some shopping at Trader Joes or grabbing a bite to eat, I’d recommend stopping by here for a nice cold treat.

Super awesome gelato! Good gelato is very scarce in Dallas with crappy places like Paciugo serving subpar icecream/gelato. I am a gelato aficionado, make my own gelato with an Italian gelato machine, and have been to the best gelaterias in Italy and France. This place is one of the best one I have been to so far in the US. The gelato seems to be made from fresh and genuine ingredients, and the flavors are great. Other great ones are Pitango in the DC area, Grom in NYC, and Bottega Italiana in Seattle. Highly recommended.

This place is Ah-maxing!!! Friendly staff, beautiful décor, and the Gelato is oh so delicious. The displays make you want to try every flavor. I also highly recommend you try the Blackberry Cabernet and the Lemon Sorbet. If you love coffee like I do, try the Affogato(Expresso and Gelato) Bottom line, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Frost was alright in my opinion. I traveled to Italy for study aboard of 4 months and always had access to the best gelato(authentic might I add). So in regards to my past experience, I don’t think any other place can measure up. I was expecting for them to have the plain yogurt flavor, the original of the originals. Instead they have Strawberry yogurt which was disappointing. I know their flavors change by day so I’ll have to revisit. My boyfriend on the other hand, enjoyed it much more than I did. He finished mostly both of our gelato cups. I believe he ordered the Salted Caramel flavor and said it was great. Hope this review helps. Don’t have high expectations — just try it!

I like the selection of flavors, the cabernet blackberry is wonderful and a must try! The gelato tasted great but I won’t be visiting this place that often. My issue is the purchase selection, that if you purchase the smallest cup you are only allowed ONE flavor. This same size at other gelato places will give you THREE choices of flavors. SO if you want variety, you have to purchase a bigger cup and you are only allowed TWO flavors. REALLY? Its like the stingy pizza we can’t do half toppings, place of Gelato. I won’t be visiting here that often and would prefer to go to Central market for gelato or the Pachiguo place where I can get more flavors and bang for my buck! Central Market is smart and offers you tiny $.50 cones so you can try a flavor. Honestly don’t waste your money unless you really really prefer just one single huge dob of 1 gelato flavor. Whats sad is when you realize a business is gouging you on pricing and offering little variety with your purchase. What a rip off!

Over the summer I had read that Frost was going to be opening in my hood. I patiently waited as I was getting burnt out on fro-yo. Time kept passing and I thought, «Surely they won’t wait until cold weather to open up!» Sure enough, Frost opened up mid-November which doesn’t seem like peak season for chilly treats. After visiting Frost today, I can say I don’t think the weather will affect the success of Frost. My first reaction when walking in was, «holy hell, that’s a lot of flavors.» I have no idea how many they had, but one of the staff told me you can literally try every flavor. There is no sample minimum. I don’t like to be that guy so I tried a lemon flavor and then a cheesecake flavor which I quickly decided I needed two scoops of in a cone. My kiddo got the mint chocolate because who doesn’t like mint chocolate. They have some interesting wine-based flavors I would like to try as well as things like bubblegum which sound interesting. The flavors are legit. You can tell there is no pretend food in the gelato and the texture is incredibly smooth. Nutrition facts are posted and I’m happy to report it is relatively low cal and fat minimal when compared to regular old ice cream. They also have a TV set up with a reel that shows you how they make some of their items. The atmosphere here is great too. The staff are very friendly and social and more than one took time to chat and you could tell it wasn’t because they learned it was an obligation in their employee handbook. We were also offered and hand delivered waters which was nice. One of the staff was taking his time talking to two patrons and even offered them more gelato on the house! In conclusion, this place rules. Next time I’m going to try to afoggato(sp?) which is gelato with espresso. How can that not be amazing?

What a wonderful little gem of a gelato shop! I stumbled in today as I was actually headed to Trader Joes, and found out they only opened a few days ago(on 11−12−15). The store has a crisp modern edge but the staff are all warm & friendly. There is a lovely patio area with plenty of tables and chairs outside. And the product: The selection of flavors is INCREDIBLE! I tried blackberry… but then I saw the blackberry Cabernet choice, and I was sold. It was DEVINE!!! I liked everything about this shop: the décor, the flavors choices, how creatively the gelato was displayed and especially the TASTE! The kids loved their choice of milk chocolate but if you are a chocolate lover, there are several gourmet variations of chocolate to choose from. With a great product, great prices and a wonderful staff I’m adding Frost to my top 5 desert spots around town!
