Ive been twice and both times had the breakfast biscuit with egg and bacon. I was ok with a 5 dollar biscuit, but today I added cheese without realizing it was extra. Both times were very good. The people are friendly. Glad to see cultivar coffee there, but I hope they will keep the one at Good to Go as well. My only beef with this place are the PRICES. I get that having a restaurant is expensive and the food is good quality, but this seems like taking advantage. The biscuit sandwich was 7 bucks! $ 1.5 for a small piece of cheese? Come on?! With a regular coffee and a dollar tip, my little breakfast was over 11 bucks. That is crazy! And Im still kinda hungry. I could go back and get a sandwich, but that would be another 12 bucks… FYI, the phone number that I found on their FB page and Google is wrong. I could not find any number that worked so I could call ahead and pick up food. They make it to order, so the wait is awhile.

Just go to there. Josh and Matt know good food and making good food for their customers makes them Happy. This place is like no other in Dallas, walk up food counter with tables to eat, work and relax. Grab coffee from the Hand brewed Cultivar coffee bar. They have breakfast and not breakfast which consist of farm biscuit with egg and sausage to a pancake and the Corn beef hash comes in way of cubed skillet potatoes and chunks of Corned beef! It’s pretty much comfort food to me. The not breakfast is sandwiches. I mean SANDWICHES! MFnSANDWICHES!!! Talking a deli style sandwich you won’t find anywhere even close to our Hood. Beer selection is very broad but you can’t pop bottles there. Grab n Go style for the alcohol. They now have Goodfriend, Blind Butcher and GoodPackage. These guys don’t to anything half ass. The Staff that represents them don’t either. Always a good vibe and nice people.

Just had our first(but not last) breakfast there. Everything was wonderful– the bacon was worth the trip. The pancake was perfect! My wife had the avocado toast and it was better than avocado toast has any right to be. The coffee bar guy was very nice and helpful, and had almond milk brought over from Good2Go across the street for my wife. My only criticism is that the radio station that was playing loudly at 9am was dropping serious F bombs and we had our three year old with us.

The food was very good, but small portions. The pastrami was extremely lean with a great taste. I wished they would have offered a spicy mustard. The rye was very good, but over toasted. Almost burnt. Overall easily the skimpiest pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. Also the most expensive at $ 14. That is for the sandwich alone. Everything was al a carte. If you don’t mind paying a premium for a small(albeit tasty) sandwich give it a try.

We ate lunch at Goodfriend Package the first weekend they were open and found that we might be a little too old to really enjoy the place. We got there around noon and the place was hopping. We ordered and found the last table available, a low-top in the room behind the counter. Seating is kind of limited. There are two community tables that are elevated(sitting on barstools) that seat about 12 each and lower tables(with chairs) that sit 4 or 5 each. Someone may have borrowed some of the chairs, as we our table had none and we had to ask to borrow two from the next table over. The low tables are built out from a wall, so you can only sit on three sides. We saw people with strollers looking longingly at our low table seats. There is also a coffee bar that wasn’t open yet, but it also seats another dozen or so, but no idea what the seating situation there will be for diners when the coffee service starts. My wife and I each ordered a sandwich. I got the reuben($ 13) and she got the BLT($ 10). Both were pretty tasty, but I think they were a bit overpriced. The reuben was a bit strange, in that the meat was one thick slab about ¾″ thick. I guess I’m used to thinly sliced meat. The meat was really good, but the thickness of it made for a sandwich that wasn’t easy to eat. We each got a single side(I think they were $ 4 each). I got pasta salad and she got cole slaw. Neither knocked us over with flavor and I wouldn’t get either again. They can’t serve alcohol, but you can buy beer there to go, so we had soft drinks. Our bill for two sandwiches, two sides and two Diet Cokes was $ 35. The food was good(not great), but I guess I’m just cheap. I’ll leave this place to the hipsters, who were there in great numbers. I’m not sure if they’ll work out the seating. They were very fast to get people through the line, but with limited seating, there were a ton of people stalking the tables. Not sure what, if anything, can be done about that. It was hard to relax and enjoy lunch when 15 people are watching for any sign of you getting ready to leave.

This place is so good. I’m jealous it’s not near deep ellum. Worth traveling to have the Ruben sandwich! Also tried the corned beef potato hash with an egg added they do one of the best simple farm style breakfasts I’ve had!
