Hamm’s Tire

Had a flat tire and discovered Hamm’s through a quick Google search. The listing said «closes at midnight.» I thought, ‘well, that can’t be right,’ so I called to get their real closing time. (It was pushing 6pm and many businesses were closing up for the day.)
Sure enough, they’re really open till midnight! The staff was friendly. My flat was fixed in less than 10 minutes. Definitely worth the 8 bucks.

What can I say, best service I’ve had at any auto shop by far. They turned a bad day into a good experience. I was in and out within 10 min, $ 60 and a used/​matching 20″ tire later I was back on the road. These guys are the real deal, I couldn’t be happier with their service

Left work at 5, or tried to, anyway. Not so fast there, Spike: flat tire. So I called Firestone up the street.

Firestone guy: «we’re all booked up tonight, you can leave it here if you want. We can get it in the morning».
Me: «I dont want. I kinda need it to get home».
The one thing Firestone did right is tell me to try Hamm’s. I was in and out. Flat fixed, 10 bucks.
As the Chinese might say, «Me rikey Hamm’s!»

Freakishly speedy, the area had heavy construction, I had a nail, along with a dozen other cars. I’m guessing they had ample practice. The guy had me patched and ready probably under 10 minutes. I made sure he marked so there wasn’t a need to rebalance.

Problem, problem and problem!
Called before I went there and they said they have the tire with 60−65% life left. Went there after work at night. It was dark. They installed a very old tire. I told the guy that it’s very old but he said it has 50% life left. I came back home and measured tread depth and found it only has ³⁄₃₂ inch left! ³⁄₃₂ inch thread depth means only 12.5% life left! *
I went back to the store and they changed it to a ⁶⁄₃₂ inch depth tire. ⁶⁄₃₂ is 50% life. * I can get a new tire at Walmart for $ 60. $ 30 for 50% life tire is still not worth the trouble. I’ll never buy from them again.
Another big problem is they did not install the bolts using torque wrench. Yes, they changed my tire quickly but they didn’t do it right. I’ll have to go to a real tire shop to do a rotation then they will torque them correctly. You may want to do it too otherwise it would cause your life or someone else’s life.
* New tire has ¹⁰⁄₃₂ inch thread depth. Worn out tire is ²⁄₃₂ and less. (³⁄₃₂ — ²⁄₃₂) /​ (¹⁰⁄₃₂ –2/32)=12.5%. (³⁄₃₂ — ²⁄₃₂) /​ (¹⁰⁄₃₂ –2/32)=12.5%. (⁶⁄₃₂ — ²⁄₃₂) /​ (¹⁰⁄₃₂ –2/32)=50%.

My first time coming here, got two used tires for $ 60 out the door. They were finished in 10 minutes. Second time, one tire for $ 40 (it was as special size). Once again, they were finished in 10 minutes. They’re very friendly and professional. My stamp of approval is definitely on this place!

Bent my rim and blew air out the tire driving and hit a curb. Expected to have to leave my car, bit I was fixed and ready to roll within 20 Mins for jus $ 15!!! Hamm’s is the TRUF!!!

Went in with a nail in my tire. Only $ 8 to patch it. In and out in literally 7 minutes. Passed the time talking to a few of the guys about the old school phone booth that was obviously out of order. Great service… great prices… great people.

This place is super super fast .It’s like express tire change shop. They give you free alignment with all four tire change and are open till late night. What elese can u ask for if you have such a good tire shop around why waste time and money at Discount Tire.
1^st to begin with Hamms include all the prices like removing old tires and installating new ones with labor n everything cost is less than any discount tire in the world. Plus you almost save 50 – 60 $ for alignment .
It is the best place in town and they really stick by there slogan.

Hamm’s is fast and affordable. I’ve been there twice now. The employees have been very polite to me. The last time I went was last Sunday and it was pretty crowded. Overall everything was great. I will definitely go back if/​when needed.

I had a flat last night after 8 when all places were closed. i was on my way back to Monroe La
and had a doughnut… I was amazed there was a place still open. We drove on the doughnut and they fixed me up FAST and didn’t try and take advantage of the fact I was in a bind. very affordable and a LIFE SAVER for me last night! Thanks Guys!

Man, this place is fast and affordable!
It’s like visiting a dive restaurant and getting a gourmet meal. I had a tire go flat due to sidewall damage and was looking to find a used identical replacement since the rest of my tires performed well and had more than 60% tread left.
The employee flagged me into a spot, asked a couple of questions and ran to the back with my wheel. 10 minutes later he has the exact tire, mounted and ready to load back on my car. A few minutes more and I was out the door.

I do not have much to add that other reviewers haven’t already said, but this place is legit. I rolled in Thursday afternoon with a low tire with a nail in it. Homie took the tire off and the tire was patched and back on in about 10 minutes. Paid the $ 8 and was on my way home.

Great place! I just rolled in and was immediately approached by a staff member. I let him know that my back right tire was a little low, and he grabbed a jack and took a look. He pointed out the nail that had gotten lodged there, removed the tire, took it away for about seven minutes, and returned with it patched. I asked him what I owed and he said $ 8. Great deal, fast and polite service, such a relief!

Wow one of the best independent tire shop I have been too. $ 20 to mount and balance 19 inch rims is unheard of. Fast and efficient. I could have picked next door shop. But went here because of the reviews. I’m glad I did. I prob be coming here more often when I need used tires put on.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years, they are so efficient. I was in & out within 20 minutes.
The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but I’ve never had issues there.

In and out tire repair/​replacement! Super fast, inexpensive, and efficient service. I would definitely recommend this place. You can really tell this place is well managed.

I had been driving around for more than 2 weeks, constantly filling up my rear passenger side tire. I knew something wasn’t right, but I dreaded taking it in for fear that someone would con me into buying brand new tires. But I knew I couldn’t keep it up for long, and through Unilocal,I discovered Hamm’s. I stopped in on a cold, rainy night, and a guy immediately came over to help me. He said he would check it and let me know.
I stepped into the office and waited, this foreboding feeling coming over me. About 10 minutes later, the guy walked in and said I had a nail in my tire. I meekly asked him if there was any way it could be patched, and he said «Yeah, it’s like, 7 bucks.». WHOA. I breathed a huge sigh of relief and sat back down.
Not only was the service friendly… it was FAST, too. I was in and out of there in less than half an hour, and my tire has not been problematic since then. I know if I had gone to discount tire, I would have been another potential cash cow to them, so it felt nice to not be taken for a ride. Seriously, 7 bucks is cheap, y’all. And they sure do a nice job. If I have any more tire issues, I will know where to go!

Not gonna lie, I’ve never been too sure of this place. That neighborhood is sketch! But hey, I needed a tire at a good price so I went in today. It was super crowded being Sunday but they still got me out of there with a good used tire in about 15 minutes (and only $ 30!) It’s like a NASCAR pit crew! You sit in your car and play a couple rounds of Candy Crush while they do all the work, then you pay and get on with your life! They sell new tires too and patch flats! I am never waiting for hours (or spending $ 100s!) in a Discount Tire again!
My favorite part is even though there were like 10 cars there when a little old lady pulled in to just get air in her tires someone ran out and quickly filled them up, for free!

$ 8 repair, this place is legit
No appointment needed. I don’t even know if they take them. Just roll up, find an empty parking space under the awning and someone will come over to help you. They had my tired off, reported the problem, fixed it and paid in just minutes. I seriously couldn’t have been there more than 10 minutes.
