Highland Park Soccer Academy

I highly recommend Highland Park Soccer Academy. The coaches are dedicated and extremely knowledgeable. They set a great example for children of all ages.

Had heard wonderful things about the staff and program before going in. My beliefs were validated and my expectations exceeded. Highly recommend!

I played on the Academy for many years back in the day, and I can say only positive things. It was some of the best and memorable experiences of my life and taught me many things. The coaches are second to none and really care about their players. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a lot of fun and greatly improve their skill level! Easy 5 stars!

My son was on the very first HPSA soccer team and stayed with them until HS graduation. He loved going to practice because of the sense of unity and team pride the organization brought. He received Select level training from professional coaches that not only trained them on soccer fundamentals but also mentored them to be men of character. I remember one time playing a team whose players AND parents were demonstrating poor sportsmanship and throwing cheap punches. The parents of the other team were yelling for them to knock out our players, punch them, and so forth (it was unreal). Out of frustration our boys reacted. But once on the sidelines, Coach gave our boys a lecture (a good butt chewing) about showing the other team that we had class, not retaliating, and winning the old fashion way. He spent a good 10 minutes disciplining those boys of ours but when they went back on the field, they came out strong and played honorably. But more importantly the coach made me proud that he taught our boys a life lesson – that it’s not about retaliating. It’s about working hard, showing true character, bonding together as a team, because no matter the outcome in life, you’ll always come out on top. If you want training where your child is over stressed, can’t enjoy his or her life outside of soccer, the cost is exorbitant, then drive the distance to the other Select organizations. If you want training where you child gets to play with their friends from school, feel like part of a community family, pick up serious soccer skills, learn how to be men and women of character, and have FUN while doing this – then this is the organization for you.

my son too, was on the very first Academy team. He is now a superstar at the college of his choice playing soccer. The Academy gave him the tools, the encouragement and the elite skills to accomplish this. Best organization in town. As a family of soccer players we could not have a better organization from top to bottom on our children’s lives.

I have been personally involved with HPSA for several years now and have had first hand experience with the coaches, directors, parents and players. It is a true community effort with serious heart and dedication behind it. You do not see this in the bigger clubs.
With having seen this first hand, I felt the need to reply to «Dallas C’s» comment. There is always someone who will see negative in any situation. Go look at the only two reviews he has posted on Unilocal by clicking on his name. Both are exceptionally negative.
As someone that has been involved closely with both the academy and community, I want to say well done to all involved. Your dedication and effort to the sport and the community is worth way more than the 5 stars I was able to give.

Not sure what they guy below was talking about. Must be a disgruntled former employee. My experience with the Highland Park Soccer Academy has been nothing less than perfect. The coaches are smart, well versed in all aspects of the game, helpful, and work great with their players. If your kid is serious about being a part of a competitive soccer academy that feels like a family, this is the place for you.

Great club, awesome coaches and ownership!

I’m not sure what this guy below is talking about. I think he must be someone that is no longer with the program. HPSA is like a family.
The coaches are dedicated and work with what they have. Hp can be a tough place to be a coach especially with these kids who are so privileged and (sometimes) do not have a good grasp of discipline or hardwork.
My boys have been a part of HPSA since 2009. HPSA gives opportunities and scholarships to players from outside of HP also. They are a great program.
