I must be one of the few people who aren’t impressed by this place at all. It looks so run down inside. Bathrooms are tiny, lines are long. I met the owner, and this cis-gender person seems like a very angry drug addict. She looks like a homeless person I saw pandering earlier today. She was very rude and condescending(probably has a drug problem). The dj’s were whatever, playing music from 10 years ago, literally. The staff was very rude, especially at the end of the night. They were yelling at us from behind the bar to get out of the club. I get that drunk people(I wasn’t drunk) are annoying to deal with, but if you don’t like working in a bar, do us all a favor and don’t. This place will be around at the most for a year or two before it passes on like so many EDM venues.

A great place to take with a big group of friends. If dancing is what you like then this is your place. It is very casual unlike those other clubs where you have to get I-line and ask if you are on the list etc etc. I love this place and will definitely come back for more dancing.

Alright, so my first time coming here was a pretty great experience. aside from the fact that i paid 20 bucks to get in. There’s nothing fancy here, just a standard dance floor in what seemed to be a stripped down roller rink and a really dark room with a funky color changing LED strip in the center, the bar was located literally off to the side so there’s really no confusion when it comes to locating it. The music in this joint though is what really put an impression on me. some sublime amount of house and tons of it, the sensational groove just kept going and going and going none stop, and people where moving. hardly no one was sitting down, the vibe in the place was definitely welcoming along with the female to male ratio, so many females and a lot less douches running around. So it’ll do in my conclusion, will do. thank you for an awesome night

Lame. Seems like most of the music being played is underground music. But most people there seemed to enjoy it. I’d say more hippie than true EDM club.

This is a dope spot for House Heads. Light up dance floors and house music go hand and hand. Bring your dancing feet!

Probably the best no-frills club in Dallas. Coming recently from Chicago, I didn’t realize how the House scene would be down here, and I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The people are not pretentious at all, and the bar is fairly priced. It’s all about dancing and having a good time. Good old warehouse fun. Don’t expect anything other than House, and possibly Techno. I saw John Digweed here and he absolutely killed it as usual. The area is a bit sketchy to be honest, but just take the DART there and UBER back home it’s that simple. Trust me it will be worth it.

Best place to dance to house music you’ll find in Dallas. The DJ’s are top notch and the price it right for sure! This is a great place for making memories with friends:)

Good cool dance club. Reminds me of underground rave clubs back in the 90’s. Crowd is pretty young. I want on a drum and bass night, which kinda sucked because that music basically sucks but the younger generation somehow appreciates that crap. Maybe if they had a old school hip hop night or oldies(Motown), it could be much cooler.

Long restroom lines and limited available stalls — kills your time with the set you showed up for Bar lines — too long A little to dark for my taste The lights show on the floor is cool but who cares after looking at it for a minute– the most important thing for a club is being able to dance comfortably and enjoy the DJ’s set. «It’ll DO» did not provide favorable conditions for this. But– good crowd!

This Club is so NOT-Dallas. It takes you back to the Warehouse clubs in New York and Chicago with the laid back, everyone doing their own style of dancing, having a great time! Originally from Chicago, I missed true House Music scene and never expected to find a worthy spot in Dallas. Boy was I wrong! This place is it! I didn’t leave the dance floor! Can’t believe that I’m just finding out about it! The parking lot was all valet last night, not sure if it’s like that every Saturday or not, it was Brooke’s birthday(the owner). At first, when you walk in, two things hit you immediately 1) The music is on point and 2) damn it’s cold. Once you start dancing, you appreciate the temperature and I thought it was perfect! DJ Red Eye(resident) and Eli Escobar was in town for Brooke and it was Epic! Best floor light show in Dallas! The bar can get backed up, the service speed was still good. And the food truck in the back on the patio was everything! They had sliders that will melt in your mouth! This will definitely be my new Saturday night spot. If you like to dance, don’t miss this spot!

IT’LLDO! I had an awesome first time experience here October 18th when I came from Houston to see Gorgon City with some friends. It was the best decision of the year. The venue was quaint but packed great sound and vibes. I loved that everyone was vibing and there for great tunes, drinks, and dancing. Gorgon City took a while to come on and the person opening up for them seem to be making up the time by having a the same track play for over 8min while waiting to transition. The only downfall of the night was when we were in the front getting our groove on some inconsiderate drunk white girls who couldn’t hold their liquor just kept bumping into everyone. I honestly didn’t want to start a fight because my night was just starting. It took everything in me to not shove them and tell them to go sit down some where with their off beat annoyances.(you know who you are because everyone gave you a dirty look) Other than that once Gorgon City came on they rocked the house and we eventually moved to the back where there was a cypher and my boyfriend and friend started dancing and killing it. I was reminded how a club and great music and dancing was suppose to be, just FUN!

My first review for It’ll Do was given to my by my 7 year old niece who attends the kids club events. According to her, it was«BEYONDAWESOMEOFAWESOME!!!» So, with that rave review I had to check it out for myself during regular grown folks time. The prices for events at It’ll Do are«say whaaaa?» kinds of awesome. Seriously, I have not paid these prices since I was a raver in the 90’s. The venue is super laid back and cool, and even better, so are the people. I have to say that my favorite part about the whole venue has to be the vintage looking sign and the decent parking. There is something so cool about it not being on the main drag and kind of tucked away from everything.

This place won a spot on The Dallas Observer’s list of best spots to get your groove on and it’s pretty obvious to see why. There’s tons of space, a small($ 5) but necessary cover sure to weed out the weirdos, plenty of bartenders and seating throughout. And last but not least a freaking HUGE dance floor… that lights up! It’s so cool and it makes dancing your butt off that much more of a blast! It’s called a club because of the dance music, huge floor and the fact that people actually go here to get down! But it’s not club-like in the sense that it is not at all pretentious, remains super low key, and is certainly not necessarily a place you go to be seen(in a good way of course). Gay, straight, young, you name it… this place is for ALL who like to have fun and party it up! Go here for a good time, grab a cheap drink and get loose!

I don’t really go to clubs or go dancing, but after coming to It’ll Do, maybe I’ll start. I had so much fun, y’all. I mean, I can see how some people might think the area is a little sketchy — it’s an old sort of crappy building with a crappy parking lot, an outdoor patio space where people are crammed together smoking, and a tiny little entry way with an old cigarette machine and a $ 5 cover charge. But really it’s not so bad, and this club isn’t about some fancy atmosphere. It’ll Do is all about the dancing. The music. It’s a simple establishment; a large plain dance floor where the lights are going crazy and there are glowing dance cube things in the middle of the ground. The house/EDMusic is awesome and so loud and the whole place is literally vibrating with music. You can feel it through your legs and in your gut and you can’t hear anything else. Whoever the DJ is/was, he was great. I love that everyone here is just in their own world, dancing their own way, looking happy and sweaty. It’s not the kind of place where anyone is trying to impress anyone else. Nobody is worried about what you’re doing, so just dance. Or stand there and nod your head. Enjoy. Also, hang out on the other half of the room in the bar area and order drinks — they’re not too expensive and they’re served in plastic cups up to the brim. There’s a sticky floor and one long booth seat, but It’ll Do isn’t made for sitting and conversing. You can’t hear anyone talking anyway so just drink your drink and then throw your cup in the trash and go dance. We came around 12AM on Sunday morning(after an amazing Saturday night Unilocaler party), and this place was packed pretty full. There wasn’t a line to get in and you didn’t have to wait long at the bar, so that was nice, it wasn’t crazy full. Most people are there to dance, and with the music they’re playing, it’s really hard not to. How can you not?! It’ll Do seems like an underwhelming name for this place. Like, «eh, it’s not amazing but it’ll do…» I’d totally go here again and again. Can’t wait to take my siblings so we can do our weird dancing together!

It’ll do indeed! This was a fun late night hang out with some great friends in Dallas this past weekend. I had no idea what to expect when I was told we were going to a dance club and low and behold it was really up my alley! Coming from Seattle where we have a small but serious club scene, I expected to feel out of place. I’m more the type of person that likes a casual, fun, relaxed vibe. And that’s what we got here! Tons of people inside dancing, tons more outside socializing, smoking, and getting some(smoky) fresh air, and even more folks at the bar. Less than a straight up dance club, this is really just a place to hang out. A bit loud for just sitting down and enjoying the bar, but there’s a long wall with seating for people who want to take a break or drink without having to dance and drink at the same time. The bartenders were nice, the lines were short, the drinks were cheap, and the music was fun. Not many brown spirit options(scotch, bourbon, whiskey) though. Great mix of current hits and some remixed Morrissey when I was there. Also a fun crowd. Looked to be a nice mix of people in their 20s, 30s and beyond. Gay friendly too! Definitely a fun spot to visit if you want to dance and drink the night away.

I thought this place was really cool. Nice big dance floor. Plenty of space to sit and people watch. Not much parking but had a good time here. No issues at the door about attire and nothing ghetto and no riff raffs. Just a bunch of people hanging and dancing. They are only open one day a week and I heard it’s been around for at least 50 years?

Behind Pacha in Ibiza, this is my 2nd favorite club that I’ve ever been to. Here’s why: — Ambience: Unpretentious, casual and even leaning on the side of divey. It’s an anti-club. My best guess is that it’s a converted 1970’s roller rink, complete with wooden dance floor and wall-mounted booths that you can sit on to tie your skates… I mean rest your dance-legs. There’s a badass light-up dance floor strip that appears to be motion-sensored and bottom-lit. It’s pretty sweet. Complete with outdoor spray-painted walls showing the event calendar, the club certainly buys into the vibe of its location and runs with it. Score: A+ — Customers: The first night I went there, a wedding party busted in about 11:45pm complete with bride in a full, white wedding dress. They handed out glow wands to each other and danced the night away. Awesome. I’ve seen trannies, hipsters, upscale, grungy and flat-out normal people all there to dance. Any time you get people from all walks of life together to dance, a good time is bound to happen. Score: A+ — Music/Sound: House music? Yes, please! Deep, Classic, Soulful, Groovy… it’s all featured there. The sound system is loud & serviceable. Is it a Funktion One system? No. Is it the worst system I’ve ever heard? Far from it. Some of the frequencies could hold better clarity but unless you demand a lot from sound systems you won’t notice a thing. The main point is that it gets loud enough to keep you dancing. Score: A — Prices: The old school cover is $ 5. I’ve been to events that had a $ 3 cover. There’s baby food that’s more expensive than that. Big headliners like Sasha are still only in the $ 15 range. It makes me laugh to know that I’ve spent upwards of $ 40 on regular Saturday-night Vegas covers and over $ 100 for«special events» on holidays like Memorial Day Weekend. The only thing that doesn’t say dive-club about this place are the drink prices. I was hoping for $ 2 or $ 3 beers but the prices are normal(i.e. $ 5 beer). I guess they have to make money somewhere. Score: A — Location: Found about a mile northeast of the 75&30 junction, you can easily get lost trying to find it. The sign is inconspicuous and the building is discreet. Perhaps that’s part of the appeal that there’s no neon sign or bright, flashing lights to let you know that you’re about to enter a club. It has a private parking lot which is more than helpful(on the night of big headliners the lot fills up so get there early). Score: B+ — Overall: I like to think of this club as a time machine. You get taken back to the late 80’s/early 90’s dance music scene when DJ’s played in warehouses or even the 70’s disco era when a DJ was someone who simply had the ability to play vinyl records. The DJ booth isn’t mounted in the middle of the dance floor or 20 feet in the air for the crowd to worship; It’s comfortably placed on the back wall leaving the dance floor as the central focus. What’s the common through-line? The music being played is more important than the DJ who’s playing it. In a time that has become about headlining DJ’s selling out stadiums and 5-story clubs, it’s refreshing to find a place that appears to bring focus back to the original reason why these venues were erected in the first place: dancing. Overall rating: 9⁄10

I love New York, but I love Dallas. This place is a nice synthesis of urban hip with a quiet suburban clean civility: which means a cleaner, gentler club scene. On a Friday night, the spray painted wall of this old east Dallas bar listed upcoming DJ sets above alien cartooned animals. The«it’ll do» vintage sign remains in this dark gritty no mans land east of deep ellum. Inside, the details had been carefully restored from the padded wrap around vinyl booths to the wooded disco floor. Only a few dancers really let loose while a congregation hovered in synch around the new tiny raised block lit disco floor, taking turns parading down its strip. Skinny hipsters — check. Pretty single girls check. New remixes that go beyond your typical Dallas top 40 dance music — thank Goddess Drink prices were not out of control but the area might feel a bit risky for parking to some.
