I pass by this place all the time and I always say, I’m going to go there one day. I spoke my words into existence today and had the experience of a lifetime.
I love homemade hamburgers and most of the time restaurants don’t get them right, but this is the first time that a homemade burger was done right at a restaurant. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it was large and in charge. I made it a combo so that added seasoned fries and a drink. The fries were crispy golden and seasoned perfectly. My burger was everything I love about homemade burgers. Good beefy burger that was really juicy and the toppings weren’t overpowering, but just right.
Overall, it was a good experience and I will reccomend to anyone that loves a good homemade burger: go to JR Big Burger, you will not be disappointed.

I went in last week with my daughter to check this place out since I keep driving past it. I had ordered the cheeseburger with fries, and I ordered for her the shrimp combo from the kids menu.
The food was decent for the both of us, and the customer service is meh!
We didn’t wait too long for our food. Prices are ok… I won’t come here often because I don’t eat burgers everyday! Lol!

It’s rare to see gorgeous photos of food and then go to an establishment and have that same beautiful picture laid before you! I had the spinach, mushroom and chicken sandwich and it was amazingly delicious! Loved the food and loved the atmosphere! Will definitely make the 20 mile hike just for that sandwich!

Great food and clean restaurant! I had the hickory burger and fries, both of which were good. We were a little nervous when we were the only ones in the restaurant at noon but we apparently were just lucky enough to beat the rush! We will be eating here again soon!

I get the hot turkey sandwich every Sunday when I visit my grandma and every time its just as good as the last time. #absolutelydelicious

Fresh and Delicious! It’s good to find a place that still takes pride in the food they serve. The ½ pound Big Texas Burger was more than I expected. The fries are excellent-​fresh cut and seasoned just right. The Burgers are huge but they do have smaller versions and a diverse burger and sandwich menu. If there’s any room for improvement it’s only with the décor. This place beats 5 Guys to pieces!

Decided to give this place a shot. I must admit the burger was pretty good. Will definitely go again. It’s hard to find a good place to eat around here especially for burgers. deliciousness

Attended at the last minute b4 closing on ⁷⁄₁₂ with my sister and nephew. Reviewed the menu went w/​the Philly ordered & wanted to add lettuce/​tomato was told would be an extra $ 1 cxl’d my request and got it regular. The order taker was a bit snide and not friendly. Once my order was ready she brought it to me which was a shock but as my sister pointed out to me it was probably bcuz a gentleman in the establishment caught her eye & she wanted to flaunt in front of him as he left, smh! But when my sister’s order was ready my nephew had to go get it. The service terrible but food was good! Not sure if I plan to come back idk!!! Kinda iffy?

It was good for a quick greasy fattening burger … Clam strips from frozen in a vat that needs to be changed … Cheesecake ok … Coke was good and fresh … Fries not hand it and fresh but not bad either just needs some fresher oil? I don’t think I will be back but an alrighty try … Price is very reasonable for the portions given!

Super good! Two complaints: food was super greasy and combo didn’t make the price more reasonable everything was just added up individually. But for what it’s worth the food was great!

I have found my burger joint! The menu is expansive, and I hope to try ever single Item they have I didn’t know where to start when I looked at the menu so I got the first burger on the menu with fries, took it to go, and the next 15 minutes all that could be heard was chewing and the repetitive «mmm»
Can’t wait to go back, the store is clean and staff was friendly. PS, you gotta use two hands to manage these burgers!!!

My son and I were hungry and went by today for lunch to go. This place is in the old Albertson’s parking lot, in a building that has seen several restaurants come and quickly die.
You can see the food being cooked through a huge pass through, and the kitchen looked spotless, the staff were always washing their hands, generally doing what every restaurant should do but way too many don’t.
The menu was very large for a burger joint, with a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches and sides, and even a decent salad menu. Can’t review the salads, if I feel in the mood to try out a new burger joint, I’m generally not in the mood for a salad. I had the Texas Double Burger, my son had the Double Deluxe. One word of warning, READ THE MENU CAREFULLY. It says all the patties are a half pound, it even says it in the listing for the Texas Double, I was in a hurry and I still missed it until after we ordered and were waiting on our food. Obviously my fault. The burgers were enormous, which would expect if you had a burger with a pound of meat on it. The burgers were excellent. The service was quick, and the lady who took our order was very polite.
I hope the rest of the menu items are as good as the burgers, because I’ll definitely be back. As I said before, this building has seen several restaurants die, but this one definitely deserves to survive.

This place actually has some good burgers, but just like any other hood spot, the customer service lacks 5 star qualities. The lady is nice but the first time here she let someone skip me in line. She apologized and was sorry about it and offered me an already free peppermint…(da fuq)??? Second time here as my wife was ordering her food she stopped and started helping a «regular» grab food and take to the car. That’s awesome customer service– if my wife wasn’t talking to her and placing her order. I spoke up and stated that I was giving her a second chance since she asked me for a second chance from the previous experience. She again apologized and gave me free fries… Probably won’t come back. Don’t let that discourage you, the burgers are good.

This was my first time experiencing this best kept secret. The burgers had so much flavor and seasoned to perfection. The fries you can tell were freshly cut, they also came seasoned. The staff was extremely friendly. The manager was very friendly and wanted to make sure every customer felt welcomed. The dining area is neat and clean. There are multiple types of burgers and other menu items. The price is a typical homemade burger amount and worth every penny. We will differential be returning very soon.

First time here, burgers were great. When you walk in the cashier explains how all of their ingredients especially the meat is fresh, never frozen, hand cut fries. Oh boy you can taste the difference!!! The patties are thick and juicy, you can see and tell that the parties were hand made. Fries were season well, you can actually taste the fresh potatoes because they aren’t overpowered and masked by a strong grease taste. I had the habanero burger which was spicy just the way I like it while not being overly spicy that it would be uncomfortable to eat. One thing that May go unnoticed but that I appreciated is that the bun is not a huge chuck of bread, allowed me to enjoy the full burger and get a ton of flavor. The menu has so many options that I’m already ready to go back and try more things, from regular burgers, avocado burgers, pizza burgers to Philly cheesesteaks, there is a wide assortment of flavors. The sides menu was just as diverse, onion rings, stuffed jalapeños, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks etc the list goes on. The space its self is very spacious and inviting, you won’t be elbow to elbow with people, there were 2 TV’s mounted showing sports at the time that I went. The seats are extremely comfortable and plush not what you are used to from a burger joint, I am looking forward to going back and trying some new things.
