I totally agree with Stephen H. Our HOA is experiencing the same. John Tarlton is rude and as you said a poor manager. We would not recommend this company. We have been dealing with him all afternoon to approve a budget. He has no clue on how to build a budget for an HOA. As far as that goes, neither does our Board of Directors.

Worst HOA management company I have ever worked with. I live in one of their communities and they consistently perform below expectations. I normally don’t spend much time on Unilocal,but after living with these guys and their bad service for over a year, I couldn’t sleep without informing the public and warning others to stay away! 1) They are slow to respond 2) They are not thoughtful or proactive at all 3) When there is anything that could possibly go wrong, it will, and they will not actively manage anything 4) Very hard to get a hold of anyone who can have a thoughtful, logical conversation with you about an issue in the neighborhood 5) Poor managers of the neighborhood HOA budget 6) As much experience as they have, you would think that at the annual meeting their property manager could have some thoughtful input toward solving problems in the neighborhood, but no, he just stands there and looks dumb(John Tarlton) 7) At our annual HOA meeting I was shocked at the number of people who denigrated the HOA manager and were actually emotional when giving their feedback(angry, upset) 8) When they finally get around to responding to emails or calls, they do so with a snarky attitude. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen in a service oriented business. If you have the chance to fire them or not hire them, please, do you self a favor and run for the hills. If you ever have to interact with John Tarlton, you will likely lose brain cells doing so.
