We came here as a group of 8 for a bday party and when we arrived it was house music and we all were spending money. Then it turned into tejano night and the bartender said the dj changes every 2 songs but for 2 hours it was solid tejano even tho the website said Friday is tejano. .we were here on a thursday… I won’t be back.

I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for management and the overpriced tables. There are very few hookah places in DFW that have a bar and allow you to smoke hookah in doors. This is what I like about Kismet. A couple of years ago, I had my birthday party here. I had the largest booth which came with a $ 450 minimum if I remember correctly and I want to say bottle service was $ 150 a bottle for Absolute Vodka. How crazy is that? Everyone was paying their own tabs and my guests were buying drinks all night. The manager told me that we never met our $ 450 minimum but it was okay. I beg to differ. Our waitress was slow so we started buying drinks at the bar. I had fun that night, but the manager is just a money hungry douche bag. He was rude when I spoke with him on the phone and I will never return. I went back another night and it was after 12 am… The entire back part of the place was empty and they still wanted to charge $ 400 for a table and the drinks were in addition to this charge. What the hell? We aren’t in Vegas and this place is a tiny hole in the wall. I mean it looks okay on the inside but this is no state of the art, uppity place. Get over yourselves Kismet! You guys are ridiculous! Any smart business person would know that if you aren’t filling your tables on the weekend, you need to make some adjustments. People go and stand up all night long because they don’t want to pay and arm and a leg to sit down. You can’t buy hookah if you’re standing up all night. Also, the bathrooms are very tiny. I liked the dj and yes, they serve some yummy street tacos. This place would be awesome if they weren’t overpriced. If you’re looking for a bar with hookah, make your way down the street to Kush. They have a dj as well. A wide variety of food and they don’t charge you to sit and smoke hookah. Oh and one more thing, they went up on the price for valet. This place has the tiniest parking lot and you can’t park in it. I think the valet is now $ 20 or maybe even $ 30. It’s totally absurd that you can go to Uptown or classier places in Dallas and pay the same or even less for valet. Again, this place is not fancy. It is a hole in the wall that’s been renovated inside. If you’re not willing to valet, you will have to park on the street in the neighborhood and walk! This place is such a joke!

This is my first review on Unilocal but I had such a great experience I had to share. The staff is really all about its customers, the drinks were well made and priced reasonably and the hookahs were some of the best at a great price. I love that you get everything in one here– drinking, dancing, hookah, chilling. Its amazing for all people. The music is pretty awesome too and the TVs add a touch for those who like to get there before all the partiers. Clean place, and basically my new favorite stop_and ill gladly drive the 45 mins to get here.

I have been a patron of Kismet for years. Apparently there is new ownership now and our group had absolutely horrible experience. Bartender overcharged our WHOLE party on drinks when the specials for the night were clearly marked on the bar. He acted like he didn’t know, then it took me 3 trips up to the bar for him to finally change it. He got very upset and kept saying«it’s no big deal» and that he had to get the manager. Even a monkey knows how to work a POS system, but not this guy. Waited at the bar with NO other customers and he completely ignored me when I wanted to ask for the hookah. Worse customer service ever. Mind you, this was on a Thursday night and when we arrived, we were the only ones in the place and STILL got ignored and screwed over. They also take over the whole lot for valet so you’re forced to pay to park. I will never return here.

Valet only, weak drinks, dirty, music is so loud you cannot hear yourself. Patio would be really awesome… but they allow smoking… so no thanks.

Ugh, I did not like this place! A friend and I went on a Saturday night, and I think the owners were having some sort of family party or something because their family had taken up most of the seating area and there were little kids everywhere. Weird. since they checked our id’s at the door. Well anyway, we order some drinks which were overpriced and watered down. Got a hookah, which was 100% the WORST hookah I’ve ever had. It had barely any flavor and the little flavor it did have was gone quick. I let our server know and he said he can add more at an additional cost. We refused and vowed to never come back. And Unilocal about it of course :)

I went last month with friends. Danced the night away, until they changed the DJ who was an absolute train wreck. The hookah was nicely priced I think $ 15 and their was a decent amount of flavored tobacco to choose from. The place wasn’t too smokey. Although I had a great time, I would definitely go with a nice group of friends. Some of the patrons were a bit sketchy.

Fantastic Brazilian Nights on Wednesday’s from 10:30pm to 2am. Moroccan décor with a cozy warm feeling. Got there about 10 and it was empty but by 10:30 some people started coming in. Great work out line dancing to your favorite brazilian, arabic, caribbean, latin american and american hits. Drink specials, hookah lounge, very nice staff, diverse crowd and fun environment. Every single time I go I have a great time.

Great location. Inside is nice and cozy. Stimulating lighting and awesome music. They played non-stop hit of all styles from Latin, Arabic all the way to Rap and Jazz. I loved the Double-Apple Hookah. Goes great with a house cocktail. which are $ 10 each. but mixed well and acceptable under circumstances. WIll defenitely go again in the next month!

We stopped by Kismet after dining at Café Izmir for my friend’s 30th birthday. Kismet offers free, private entrance to patrons of Café Izmir. Nice and comfy décor, great non-stop music and no underage crowd. I like this place.

I went here Friday night with my sister, and I have to say we had a lot of fun! The DJ was very receptive to the music we wanted to hear and had a great variety of music as well. The décor was pretty and the environment was fun… the bartender was awesome and made our night one to remember!

Kismet’s DJ knows what’s going on. The entire night my friend and I were there, I was consistently impressed by the music, changing smoothly from Flo Rida to the theme from Fresh Prince of Bel Air to 80s tunes. The décor was beautiful, with light-up stars on the ceiling! Drinks were on the expensive side, but the bartenders were nice and gave us free bottled water. Valet was $ 6. The crowd was quite a bit older(I’m talking about quite a few middle aged balding men), but it would have been a really fun place had we had more people with us. Overall, Kismet is nice for a big group, not so much eye-candy-liscious for a girl’s night out on the town.

I had a great time here. Why you ask? Okay I’ll tell you! The crowd was great, everyone was dancing, bartenders were great, no weird ego problems going on there. DJ was great, Cool morroccan atmosphere. Why did I give a 4? The place is supposed to be a cool place with dance music and all that for a more chill crowd, but they still charge guys going in. It was 10 bucks. I don’t think it’s worth it, but we had to settle on a place! It was getting late.

Every time I have been to the Kismet Lounge I have a good time. The club itself is rectangular, and one side is dedicated to tables and couches that are low to the ground and loaded up with cushions. If you are going to the Kismet on a Friday or Saturday night, many times these tables are reserved, but they will let you have one until the party that reserved them arrives. The plus side is sometimes that party never shows up. The ceiling looks like it’s dark blue velvet, and that is punctuated with little lights that make the ceiling look like a star-filled night sky. It’s a pretty cool effect. The music is GOOD. They play European dance music, as well as some other styles, but it’s never the cheesy dance music some clubs play. The crowd is a mix of different types of people and and races and generally everyone I’ve ever struck up random conversation with has been really friendly. Aside from booze, you can also purchase a hookah. I’ve sampled the mixed fruit tobacco and it was pretty smooth. Just don’t try to run a marathon the day after you smoke a hookah. Your lungs will put you on their shit-list. I’ve been there with groups of friends and on dates and The Kismet is a good place for both. It’s a club, so you’ll have to pay club prices for booze, but it’s still not as expensive as other places in town and probably has a much better atmosphere.

Happy go-lucky househeads from all over the world unite! Kismet Lounge provides the *best* in dance experience Friday nights in the heart of Dallas’s Lower Greenville area. They play European Dance, House, Trance, Latin, Tribal, Michael Jackson, Hip Hop, and anything that will make you bounce all over the dance floor till you pass out or decide to take a 5 minute hookah break. I would recommend the banana bake hookah. The crowd at Kismet is mixed, you will find people from all walks of life, all friendly, not shady in the least. This is my favorite Friday haunt for the perfect blend for the size of venue, music and ambiance in Dallas. Cover is usually ~ $ 10 but free for ladies on some nights — even better if you ask me!
