Kroger

I use this Kroger fairly often and I am generally pleased most of the time. My review is about the Starbucks at this grocery store. For the love of god, does anyone there care at all that people are getting their drinks and most likely going to work? Their sense of urgency is about ZERO. I’ve tried to make friends with them and they’re all pretty nice but come on. It should not take 5 – 7 minutes to make me a shaken iced tea. They could at least try to hustle. Maybe they should test out their own product.

I love the fact that they have a café that they have sports on all the time
Also I love watching them make fresh squeezed orange juice in front of you

I don’t know why I do this to myself. I stopped in to grab a few things, namely some fresh produce. I don’t get how a grocery store can be this unkempt. Every fresh ingredient I bought had something wrong with it. The oregano was browning when I opened the package and only a few sprigs was usage (you couldn’t tell through the packaging), and half my garlic was bad once peeled. They need to change management.

I visited Kroger the other day for my weekly grocery shopping. This was a nice location with an easy to maneuver layout. Some of my favorite things about Kroger is the homemade tortillas and the selection of produce.
The only negative part of the visit was that they were out of my favorite brand of yogurt. But… In their defense, it was 8:30 at night.

Downtown Dallas is LACKING in great grocery stores. This grocery store is fresh, clean, and great. Highly recommend. Better prices than whole foods and way better than min yard, target, or walmart

Have you ever tried to call a grocery store to find out if they have a specific item you need? It’s usually a nightmare. There are automated menus to navigate, people that repeatedly hang up on you, and generally a lot of apathetic employees who really do have better things to do with their time than go searching for the cereal you need.
But while this Kroger started out the same (infuriatingly slow automated menu to get through, a few accidental disconnections) every customer service person that i spoke to was nothing but polite and helpful. No one made me feel like a burden when they went to the aisles to see if they carried my item. They even gave me specific instructions on how to find it when I came in.
And when I got to the store, I was really impressed with the layout. One of my main contentions with most grocery stores is that things are difficult to locate (I’ve been to Krogers where the Greek yogurt is in a different aisle than the regular yogurt… how was I supposed to know that?) but at this Kroger, everything seemed pretty intuitive. Everything was clean, everyone was helpful… it really is a cut above a lot of its fellow Krogers. And to think, until yesterday I didn’t even know this location existed! I will definitely be back.

Tried out their fresh deli sandwiches made to order today. The price was under $ 5 bucks the meat was freshly shredded in front of me. The could have offered a few more fixings, but overall I impressed with the value and freshness. Nice option if you’re in a hurry and looking for a quick, fresh alternative to fast food.
They also have a lot of seasonal items when you walk in. Left today with firewood, decorative pumpkins, gourds and tons of adorable outside Fall décor.

While produce of the same quality is much cheaper generally at El Rancho on Gaston Ave, it seems this grocer is getting a bit better.
For me to be 4 stars though, they would have to figure out how to get the self-​serve dry goods right (it’s never full and usually dirty) and get a butcher on Friday evenings.
Other than that, the selection is fair and people are generally friendly.

I love this Kroger. It’s the nearest «nice» grocery to my residence and I was thrilled when they built it. I can run in and get fresh sushi, some wine and cheese, or I can come with a full grocery list for the week. I enjoy shopping here a lot as it’s conveniently located.

Rude security door guy made me lose my appetite tonight. Will continue to go the distance to the oaklawn location –whatever.

I love this store !! I have a WalMart Market within walking distance to my apartment but I choose to go to Kroger. This particular Kroger is always so clean. Things are easy to find. they have a Starbucks inside that actually takes my Starbucks rewards card. I have had employees ask me if I need help almost every time I’m in there. The staff is so nice. They have great vegetables and fruit. Such a wide selection of everything here. I also like the seafood section because they have really cheap prices for individual pieces of fish. If the seafood needs to be sold within a day or two, they sell it for super cheap instead of wasting it. My freezer is full!! its in a very nice area so I don’t feel uncomfortable coming here late at night. By far the best grocery store around

Marked prices were different than prices at register. Wasted my time and I only got money back after waiting in a 2^nd line for the one item I caught. Then I had to leave my contact information with them for the «return». As far as I’m concerned it’s fraud to advertise 1 price then change it at the register and when you buy groceries you never check each price Beyound when you put it in your cart so I have no idea if more items fell through the cracks. New to the area. Won’t be shopping here again.

I gave this Kroger a two star. The checkout process here is terrible. The majority of the time when I try to use the self check out either the checkouts registers are all full or some of the self checkout registers are inoperable.
Next it’s a issue to use the full service as they are usually full and the express checkout is confusing. You have to get inline but then if you’re first at a register you may not be if there is someone is at another register and the cashier wants to pull them over and wait on them.
The parking lot is full of panhandlers asking for money and I get tired of being approached.
Having to bring your own bags to place your groceries in is a pain so I usually buy only what I can carry.
Better night lighting and actually active security guards would help. Otherwise 10 AM to 2 PM is my rule now.

Received a gift card for a turkey for Thanksgiving. Waited til today to use it. Still in the gift pouch with the phrase,“a gift for you!”
Didn’t work. No problem. Paid and went to customer service. Told the girl the situation. She said I had to take it back to the store I got it from. Worst customer service I’ve ever received!

Pros: The prices are average (except produce) to any other grocery store and the store is kept clean and organized.
Cons: Their customer service is horrible; from their cashiers, to their staff that operate the Starbucks section, and to the people that stock the shelves. The staff doesn’t greet you, many of them are too busy having inappropriate side conversations and often seem disgruntled.
One occasion I placed a hand basket with cocktails napkins off to the side (while I needed to run to the car for my wallet) of the floral section and an employee near the self-​checkout loudly said, «he know they don’t go there» and started complaining how no one ever puts things back. When I realized she was referring me, I explained situation and that i didn’t exactly where to put the item. As I walked out she and another employee begin tisking and complaining so I just decided not to return back and exclaimed, «have a nice day.» Then immediately the both started with a, «no he didn’t and he don’t want to go there.» I just shook my head and left.
Just yesterday around 9a my friend and I stopped in for coffee. As we were inline the person in front of me begin to order and all the while the cashier had her lip puckered to the side, didn’t seem attentive, and started complaining to her coworker about the refrigerator with a leak. After the gentleman ordered she asked for his order again. No apologies or thank you… As I ordered she was just as inattentive as before. She even begin rolling her eyes for no reason. I wish at least the Starbuck staff were their actual employees and not Kroger staff with a green apron. After we left i called the store and spoke with the manager. I think Adam was his name, at least he seemed sincere and said that he would address the issue.
Sorry Kroger, I will not be back for a long while and I will not recommend this location to anyone soon.

I have never heard of a Kroger «fresh fare» before. Maybe this is because I used to live in the rundown ‘burbs of DFW and we cannot have such nice things.
First off, I should have realized this was no ordinary Kroger when there’s an LA Fitness in the same exact lot. Then while driving around for parking, I should have paid more attention to all the fit and good looking people walking to and from their cars. Oh but no, I went on in looking like I’m from the People of Walmart, later to be embarrassed with my appearance as I pushed around a cart of twinkies and ho hos.
Yep, I stepped into a wannabe Whole Foods Market. Nice, clean and spacious, there are a few prepared food stands for people that can’t cook: your choice of salad, sushi, or various prepared hot foods. You can get some coffee too with your cart full of kale chips because you’ve got a long night of partying ahead. There’s even a large wine and beer section for all of the people that like to party by themselves (as I grab a few…).
The «healthy”/natural aisle has its own freezer section. No Glutenfreeda however, but plenty of Amy’s, Kashi and Evol. I’m surprised the sushi bar carries raw baby octopuses. All of the produce looks fresh though and they even carry enoki at a not so expensive price.
Lines have never been too long here either and at least during a weekday lunchtime or Sunday evening it’s not so busy. I’ll continue coming back of course, if not for groceries, at least some cheap sushi and sake.

For a grocery store, this place is pretty nice. I had no idea it existed even though I work a few miles to the south. I always thought most everything in this area was a little sketch, but this Kroger and the very closeby apartments and LA Fitness are all new and very nice. The parking lot is also brightly lit which made me feel better about stopping by at night.
They have your typical grocery store fare, though it seems cleaner with some additional products and a more thoughtful layout. They even have half gallons of freshly squeezed orange juice without any extra crap in it, which I thought was pretty cool. Not a huge selection of prepared foods, though that doesn’t bother me. Produce was really well organized (which rarely seems to be the case at most grocery stores) and it looked very fresh. It also appears that they have a loft area upstairs where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and use the Wifi, which is nice. It’s a little reminiscent of Central Market in that way. Everything else was in line with what else you would expect from a grocery store.
Will stop by in the future if I need a few items on the way home from work.

This location is fantastic! We actually got lucky enough last week to stumble upon the wine section reset and grabbed some ridiculously fantastic bottles of wine for even more ridiculously low prices.
In general though, the service has never been any thing but genuinely fantastic every time I’ve been there, and I do go pretty frequently. Everything is pretty easy to find, which is not always the case in grocery stores. The variety and selection is vast, as well. They even had ring pops when I was trying to put together something for my bridesmaids. I looked everywhere at other stores and couldn’t find them, and they were just there at Kroger!
The parking is never an issue there, and the lot feels pretty secure. It’s in a pretty good location, and it’s easy to get in and out of the lot since it’s not right at a busy intersection to get right out. If you need to go left on Haskell, it’s easy to get out to the light to do so. It’s also close to a gym, a bank, a Target, and another couple of shopping centers, so you can get a lot done on your trip to the grocery.
I highly recommend this location, thank you Kroger!

This location is wonderful. I always find a good parking spot and the store is not congested at all. They have lots of fresh veggies. They also have a nice selection of chicken and turkey. Checking out is always fast because of the self checkout.
The only reason I haven’t given them 5 starts is because the young cashiers tend to have attitudes sometimes. Poor poor customer service skills. But, if you use the self checkout you won’t have to worry about this.
