This store should not be allowed by the fire dept to be open. If there is a fire or emergency the exit would trap many in the store, 2nd the store smells terrible from floor drains in the fish dept. The staff are great. Food etc good This would never happen in a higher tax bracket location. Yes, they must know that this is poor people and will not address the smell or the hazard of the frt door. Yesterday a slightly handicapped woman decided to get off the elect ride-em and stopped half way in the entrance. no one could go in or out. Thats right this store only has one door that you have to take a 45 degree turn immediately upon entry so it is about 5′ wide at best. They put displays near there as well. I will continue to shop there but they need to make changes. The smell is really disgusting

I avoid this store like the plague and only when absolutely necessary do I go here. I learned my lesson after giving it quite a few chances and here’s why: –I’ve seen this store, on a regular basis and not on a holiday, be out of ice cream. Not like just one flavor, I mean like entirely out of all brands, flavors, ice cream sandwiches, pops… I could go on. Like the whole section of frozen sweets didn’t exist –_– –I’ve attempted to buy chicken breast, just a pound, on three different occasions and all they had were wings or thighs… Like I mentioned earlier, this was on any other regular day and not a holiday where things are expected to be in low stock. –The employees are disheveled just like the store merchandise. Beware of the men in the store only to follow and hit on women who are alone. Scary… –The produce is never fit to eat or prepare in a meal. If I want to go to a Kroger, I buck up and drive to the location off Haskell for a prime shopping experience. This location is nonexistent to me now and I would rather pay more and drive farther to the Tom Thumb a couple miles away.

This is a decent store. It is not a signature store so there are no bells & whistles, yet you can find what you need. The pros: nice deli, produce is usually good, lanes are staffed well and they move quickly, very fresh meat section The cons: this may sound crazy but I hate the«one way in & out» door. Many traffic jams there and it’s a hot box. Not much variety in the healthy foods section. The store is located in historic Wynnewood Village, been around forever. It finally got a renovation a few years ago and there aren’t many grocery stores nearby. I go after work because it’s convenient and sometimes prefer this location over the one in DeSoto.

REALLYPOORSERVICE. The quality of products is lower than stores in North Dallas(wonder why). I generally avoid this store, but it is in my neighborhood and on the way to work. I went for the .99 raspberries(they actually HAD them and a decent supply) and the 2/1.00 Chicken of the Sea Tuna(had to get a rain check). My beef is with the meat section(no pun intended). I went in for the chicken breasts advertised for .99/lb. So ticked with myself that I didn’t get this guy’s name, he was with the morning crew and might have been the butcher! He was really rude when I inquired if I had to get him to weigh the chicken breasts or if they were pre-packaged. He huffed and turned around and slapped a stack of chicken with similar labeling and said which parts were on sale as if I were a lost kindergartener, and turned and walked away. I grabbed a package from the stack that HE indicated and went to the check out. It was between 8:15 and 8:30 and there should have been SOMEONE running a regular register or two by that time. A lady in a Nope, all 4 self-serve lanes were busy and one little frazzled cashier named Maria(who was REALLY nice) to handle it all. Of course, the chicken came up regular price and she called for a price check, and of course the bum who was rude to me came up front, still huffing and blowing. I mean, if your job is that much of a pain, then QUIT! If customers disturb your happy, then go count ketchup packets at Sonic or something! So he came up front, consulted with Maria, who asked him what he wanted to do. He got snippy and said, «She’s not gonna get them for .99/lb» and then went on to explain to me that there were more chicken breasts back there. I told him that I selected from the ones that HE indicated. He informed me that I wasn’t going to get them for that price. I told HIM that he could take them right back because I DIDN’T WANTTHEM. It sucks that I have to go all the way over to Mockingbird or Cedar Hill to find a decent store where the employees offer good service. This store has always been a joke. Stay away.
