This place is incredible, their food is a little pricy but it’s absolutely worth it! Their mojito lemonade is epic, and their cuatro leches is to die for! The service is on point!

Love their Vaca Blanca(white chocolate mocha) and Caramel Cappuccino. Always wishing for more of it. We started with their guacamole and queso which was delish. The queso verde is unique in that it has real melted cheese and cojita cheese. Their rice salad and trio salad hit the spot. Both the chicken and pork is good… If I had to choose one, I would probably go with pork for the extra flavoring and texture(but obvious the less healthy choice). Other reviewers mentions the service… we must have gotten lucky because they did a good job today and service was attentive. We were too full to go for dessert, but there will be a next time…

The food is okay, but the service isn’t very good. I got queso, and chicken wings. The wings tasted like a store bought sauce, but the queso was good. I sat at the bar and watched as 2 of the bartenders chatted about bar hopping right in front of me. It was awkward.

I like the location, but I always feel like something is off here – either it’s understaffed or too many big parties are eating, and that affects the service and the food. On a high note, the cocktails are always good!

I love this La Duni location! Close to work and has a really nice patio. Yesterday I went with my boyfriend for a lunch. We ordered chicken rice salad and the ribeye burger. The chicken rice salad is good but hope can be a little bit hotter on the rice. However, the burger wasn’t taste that good! Well I guess they are not a burger joint! Overall experience, service was good and food is alright! Last, they have awesome chips and salsa!

I was super excited to eat here because I’ve heard so much about their famous Tres Leches cake. After a long day of shopping we stopped by to order a slice of Tres Leches and Horchata Latte. The place was really busy so we ended up eating at the café because there was no wait there. They have a vast selection of desserts and cafes. I would love to try the cupcakes next time. It looked delicious. We decided to go with the famous Tres Leches because it was«award winning» and had high reviews. Unfortunately it was a fail :(After waiting several minutes. We got the cake and it was way too sweet and dry. I don’t know if it’s an old batch but it was very firm like it was sitting in the refrigerator for several days. For $ 8 it was over priced and over rated. They have the best Tres Leches at Costco of all places. It’s fresh, moist, and not too sweet. The cake here was complete opposite. The Horchata Latte was decent. Good flavor and not too sweet. But it took way too long. By the time we finished the cake we our latte. I was expecting it to come together. Next time I’ll have to try the cupcakes and see if that can make up for the awful Tres Leches.

The service was good, not great but good! The food was good! But the rice was a bit simple for Latin food. The desserts where amazing!!! Definitely a must go of ever needing a great dessert spot! There’s nothing disappointing about the desserts! And they are well worth the price! Can’t wait to try more options next time! Onlg got to try two, and my friend and I didn’t want them to end, they where Sooo good!

I just love the coffee and dessert options here. However, it’s disappointing when you order coffee and it comes out lukewarm. At the prices they charge for coffee, you shouldn’t have to ask the server to heat up your café con leche as soon as it’s been served to you.

This review is based only on two cupcakes that I purchased from the pop up store in stonebriar mall. They get them delivered every day from the bakery so I thought it would be okay to review them here. So I tried the cuatros leches as well as the Boston cream pie. On the big board in front it had the Boston cream pie one labeled as something else, but when I inquired about which one it was in the case, he said it was indeed the Boston cream! Kinda weird, but okay! The presentation on both were beautiful. The chocolate on the Boston cream pie one was super super good and you could tell a really nice quality chocolate. There definitely could’ve been way more of the pastry cream as well as the rum glaze or syrup. Would have made the actual cake part more flavorful and moist, but having said that the cupcake was really good overall, especially when you got a bite that had ample cream and rum. The chocolate topping was plentiful. The cuatro leches was quite excellent as well! Once again my only wish would have been that it was soaked waaay more with the milks. It’s called cuatro leches for a reason right? So needed more wetness but like the other cupcake the parts that had it(most did to be fair) were delightful. The frosting was amazing! Love the added drizzle of caramel. Overall worth trying for sure, but probably wouldn’t seek them out or get them again.

So if I could give a 2.5 stars I would but since you can’t I’ll have to settle with 3 because it wasn’t as bad as a 2. My guess, this place is WAY under staffed. We came here today(Sunday) for brunch and waited over an hour and a half for a table outside. The whole time waiting there were at least a half dozen tables large enough to seat our 4 top but no one was ever seated. Even through brunch the tables remained empty although there was a huge wait at the hostess stand. The food was good and did come quickly. I had the steak and eggs and my only complaint would be that the steak was rather small. It was a skirt steak and I’d be surprised if it hit 6oz. For $ 22 you would think the Carne Asada would be a little bigger. The house potatoes are really good. We also got two empanadas. They are $ 6 each and for the price not worth it. Don’t get me wrong, they are very tasty but not $ 6 tasty. The patio seating is fun and the weather was perfect. Great people watching and was relaxing seeing all the kids and parents playing in the grass section of the mall. Service was not what it used to be. Again, I can only assume the lack of staff made this a much bigger issue than it needed to be. The location outside of the mall is way better, save yourself the troubles and go there.

The food is just mediocre and the service is TERRIBLE every time! Last time, they shut down kitchen service 30 min before the restaurant actually closed –I arrived with only a few minutes to order and the waitress didn’t give me more than 30 seconds to look at the menu before she demanded an order. Then shortly after the fire alarm stated going off –and the waitress said she had to pack all the food up and we had to leave because they couldn’t figure out the fire alarm. She game back a few minutes later and said«nevermind» Then the rest of the dinner was spent trying to rush us out –including putting the bill down before our food was out and starting vacuuming and putting up chairs as we were starting to eat. Talk about a relaxing dining experience. At another visit, the waitress grabbed my friends plate to bus it as she was going in for a bite. No thank you

La Duni is a straight shot down from Kona Grill and The Theodore. It has a more of a quaint feel than the other two restaurants if that’s your thing. They have a great selection of coffee drinks, and is a definite must if you want to sit and relax after a busy shopping trip. La Duni boasts plenty of latin flare and hospitality which I love. It was a Friday during Lent so I was limited to Duni Caesar with Arepa Crusted Calamari for $ 13.95. I thought it was a little steep for a SMALL salad that had maybe 6 pieces of calamari. Everything tasted delicious. My friend had the Rice Salad with Chicken which she loved, and is her usual choice. The service was ok. I hate having to wait more than 5 minutes to have my water refilled, especially when they are slow. It was 11 o’clock and the lunch rush had not quite hit. If you work nearby or are looking to pick up food they do online ordering which can be convenient for those who don’t want to stick around. I may consider this after a hard day of work when I don’t want to be around people. I wouldn’t mind eating my feelings away! To be fair I didn’t get to try any of the desserts; however, THEYLOOKEDDELICIOUS. That’s the only reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 3. I will be back soon to try the sweets and reevaluate La Duni. Until next time :)

I grabbed some food to go and this place was just a horrible sight. I ended up getting a coffee and cupcake to go. While I normally appreciate care and presentation with the foods, this place served the most ridiculously over the top artsy cupcakes I have seen yet. Presentation definitely has it’s place, but for to-go orders, maybe not as much. It took them almost fifteen minutes to box up a cupcake that was already ready prepared. Part of the problem was cutting out a piece of cardboard off the base of the cupcakes. I wouldn’t mind the wait or the time if they cupcakes were amazing. However, they really did not have much going for them. They were overly sweet and a bit on the dry side. All in all, decent stop if you aren’t in a rush.

Love this place! Nice fresh food! I came here with a couple of my culinary student friend, we were in real from class. The restaurant is located inside of North Park Mall. The décor is gorgeous and the manager engaged in a conversations with us and said to come see him once we graduated from culinary school. Anywho, I loved how fresh the food was and how prompt the staff were they had good knowledge about the food and the back ground. I will def return to this place!

I didn’t expect much when we walked into this place. The wait was about 20 minutes but you don’t have to actually wait there — they text you whenever your table is ready! Convenient so I could browse around beforehand. Cappuccino Caramel — so good! They give you a wooden stick to stir your coffee if you wanted but I opted out of it. The cappuccino had enough bitterness from the coffee and milk to make the drink light enough for a midday pick-me-up. The beautiful caramel sauce on top added a hint of sweetness each time I took a sip and had to kick off the caramel from my lips. Each sip was so enjoyable! Definitely will continue to try their espresso bar menu! Huevos Gauchos w/Chorizo — basic breakfast menu but yet executed so beautifully! The eggs was complimented by bits of chorizo — I expected more meat but honestly was not disappointed. It added more flavor and depth to the eggs instead of having the chorizo overpower the dish. The crispy potato sticks was SOOGOOD! It made the dish feel very light — the green parsley paste or whatever on top also made the potatoes that much better. The only meh thing was the corn tortilla — just basic, heated corn tortilla from your chain grocery store. This is a chain though so I wouldn’t expect anything else. Salsa that came in the small container was also good! Empanada w/Sausage — oh my god. Flaky goodness. Probably one of the cheapest thing on the menu priced slightly over $ 5 yet enough to be filling! It comes with a small container of what seemed to look like oil/fat from the dish and is used as dipping sauce. I had an idea of what it was, but it enhanced the sausage’s flavors, I couldn’t resist having some! Definitely want to try the ground beef version. Venezuelan Triple Chocolate Truffle Cake — the description of this cake had«espresso» in it, and I was terrified — I don’t like overly strong coffee flavored desserts. Surprisingly, I never had a moment where I could evidently taste the coffee flavor! Not a problem in my book! The cake was very dense with 2 different icing flavors in between the layers — so unique to try. The whip cream on the side with crumbled toffee bits added extra crunchy texture which I freakin’ LOVED. The berry sauce drizzled on the plate can be absent, and I wouldn’t even care because I didn’t think it complimented well. Will have to go back to try their Cuatro Leches! Overall LOVED my experience @ La Duni’s! Our waiter was very attentive while being attending many tables as it was a full house. Can’t really say anything bad about this place. Some of the stuff ordered was basic — yet basic was done in the proper way!

Ok, so this is a restaurant you need to go to. I do not think anything is basic or boring here. We never had much room for dessert, so you may want to share a meal or take ½ home so you can split a dessert… they’re known for their cakes. The rice salad is amazing, so much so I never order anything else! The crisp pork(chicken or shrimp also) paired with the slightly sticky crunch of the rice, the cool vinaigretted salad greens, avocados and the yummy roasted plantains make a really nicely balanced meal. Another in our party had the Milanesa de Pollo which is a very delicious version of the universally beloved chicken piccata, chicken Milanese or chicken schnitzel. Empanadas are really good and there are different flavors every day. I do believe the salsa could be consumed as a beverage — it’s so good…

This place would have received 5 stars if the service was better, I came here on my birthday and our server was very monotone and didn’t seem like he wanted to be there, it made things a little awkward throughout the night and the restaurant seemed overcrowded. Besides that the food was very good, I ordered the rice salad and I know that sounds pretty dull but let me tell you, the rice was AMAZING. The rice had just the right mixture of spices and you could taste the lemon in it, I wish I could bring a box of their rice home I loved it that much lol. As for the chicken in my salad it was also cooked real well and the salad also came with avocado(who doesn’t love avocado!) We also got a free serving of their chips and salsa and it was also pretty good. I would so be down to come back here for their rice salad, its also one of their more popular dishes too according to our server. Now for my favorite part, dessert! I was so eager to try their cuatros leches cake and it did NOT let down. We got it Ala baked alaska style which means that we got a scoop of vanilla ice cream with it and it was lit on fire at our table, it was so pretty. The cake itself was so moist and sweet, I could taste the difference between this and a traditional tres leches cake. The ice cream that came along with it was also amazing, it had chunks of walnuts in it I believe and it added a nice texture to it overall, I would die for a whole cake of this and a jar of their ice cream. This place didn’t let down at all in terms of their food but I just wish that their service was a little better and took out some seating to make you feel like crowded in there. I would probably try going to their different location next time to see if it isn’t as crowded as this place was. Hopefully a better server too!

I came here on a busy Sunday morning for brunch with a friend. I had always wanted to try this place, but I had never gotten around to it. I am glad I got to visit this time! I was impressed by the cheery yellow of the interior and bistro-like style of the sitting areas. The windows of the restaurant look onto part of the indoor courtyard of Northpark mall, and the sun streaming in made for a great atmosphere. I really enjoyed my brunch! I was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful and crispy breakfast potatoes, as my experience with that particular side dish call to mind mushy, over/under-seasoned chunks of potato. The scrambled eggs went nicely with the salsa offerings, and I ate the entire dish up. I had heard that La Duni was famous for both its coffee and pastries, but as I was trying to cut down on caffeine, I did not order from their coffee menu, which had an impressive list of espresso drinks. I ordered the helping of 2 «conchas».(Shell in spanish) They were so cute and straight out of the oven, so biting into these egg bread delicacies topped with crunchy sugar(chocolate flavor is best) was a treat. I will be back!

Had a wonderful coffee and cake date here today. Their tres leche cake is to die for(expensive but to die for), and their seasonal holiday espresso drinks come with hefty amounts of booze and overall flavor. Our waiter was wonderfully attentive and kind as we stayed chatting for hours and conducting business. I know this place gets packed for brunch on weekends, but a mid-afternoon during the weekday is a perfect time to enjoy the overall vibe and scenic courtyard view.

Excellent food, great service… The ambiance was perfect for lunch with my wife. The price was lower than comparable meals I’ve had. I had a beef filled empanada with a side salad the meat was well seasoned and the crust light and buttery. The fresh salad with a oil vinaigrette was the perfect contrast of taste.

It has been very difficult to find great Cubano sandwiches in the DFW area and I’ve decided to make sure to include my experiences and restaurants or cafes that serve them. I recently tried La Duni’s Cubano sandwich and will have to say it’s my second favorite place for these wonderful, tasty sandwiches. Try them with a side of their«tostones» fried green plantain bananas(not the ripe ones) and their accompanying mojo(garlic sauce recipe) for a fantastic adventure in tasty sandwiches. La Duni’s yuca frita fries are wonderful as well.

The patio of La Duni at North Park Mall sits in one corner of the interior courtyard of the mall, and it is a nice oasis and escape from the bustle of hopping. The café offers modern Americanized latin bistro food, and wonderful atmosphere, potent cocktails, and good service. Classics are the Cuban press and yucca fries. Mojitos can provide a medicinal effect after the cut-and-thrust of retail commerce. Ladies who lunch. Kids running around the plaza. A nice, relatively calm space. Coffee Studio is usually SLOW, but often worth the wait. Pastries and cakes are phenomenal.

I had been here before with some friends. I don’t remember what I ate then – probably some brunch dish as they are known for their brunch menu. I don’t quite remember the food though. Today, I came to the mall on business and decided to have lunch here. As I didn’t have friends recommending what to get, I quickly skimmed Unilocal reviews and ordered their trio salad with crispy pork. My oh my! When I took a bite of the rice salad with crispy pork, I fell in love. I am not quite a foodie to be able to describe the flavors, but the crispy pork, cilantro rice, and fried plantains created a great marriage of flavors. The salads on either side complimented the rice salad so well as the rice salad alone would have been too heavy. I enjoyed every bite of the trio salad. I also had a cup of Euro-coffee and quite enjoyed it. It was not bitter, but smooth and rich. I shall be back here again!

My Last meal at Duni was unimpressive due to the service. While I voiced my concerns I did not get a good response. The surly attitude by the person serving coffee that morning was less than mediocre. That was one of two bad experiences in a row. The food I have ordered before is great I have no complaints over the menu or food. It’s your service. Fix it. At this point I would rather try the food court.

I have been to la duni on multiple occasions but didn’t find my last visit to be very pleasant. Although the coffee is wonderful the service is lacking. One of the things I look for most in having a satisfying restaurant experience is customer service. The general manager is the biggest problem. She is rude and unwilling to please the customer. The staff at the coffee bar found that chatting amongst themselves was more urgent than helping out the customers. I waited to be served and when I finally was served they continued to talk for over 10 minutes before starting my coffee

Definitely okay, but not stellar. I found myself a bit frustrated by two things in particular: 1) Tabasco sauce: I asked for some and they brought it in a small, paper container with only a tiny amount in it. It’s not one of those things I’m used to restaurants being stingy on! 2) Slow check-ins. After the food came, our server didn’t check on us for 10 – 15 minutes. I had an iced tea that was waiting on a refill for quite some time and it definitely got a bit frustrating. I enjoyed the food, but nothing to write home about. 3-stars because it wasn’t a «bad» experience per se, and the view is nice.

This is so far my favorite go-to brunch spot. The NorthPark location is pretty nice though I have also frequented the Fairview location since it’s closer to me and it is larger than the NP location. Their eggs and roasted potatoes are so yummy and I always get their coffee/espressos which wake me right up before I go into a food coma. Haha. My suggestions are the Vaca Blanca and Cappuchino Caramel. Their steak and eggs and Latin French Toast is to die for. You will be full for the rest of the day! I have gone for dinner also and its really good. Their cake is so good also. You can’t go wrong with any of them basically. Just depends on what you like! Enjoy :)

Love love the mojitos here! One of the best I’ve ever had. $ 6 during happy hour makes it that much more tastier! The regular mojito, berry mojito and mango mojito are all delicious. I went to Miami last month and their mojitos doesn’t come close to La Duni’s mojito! They use fresh mint and cane sugar in their mojitos, which I think are key ingredients in a mojito. We like to enjoy our mojitos on their outdoor patio while we watch the kids run around in the courtyard. While sipping on their mojitos, we like to munch on some verde queso, although it’s a little pricey, $ 12 for a large bowl, but it’s more like a small bowl.

My family and I came here on a friend’s recommendation for really good pisco sours and caipirinhas. We ended up getting snacks and hanging out before dinner but this was completely worth it. Daniel was an amazing bartender and took care of us the whole time. Pisco sour: I’ve never been to Peru but those in the group who did go started this is the closest you can get to an amazing pisco sour here. What I do know, is that it was very tasty! Slightly frothy and creamy with a light citrus to it. Delicious! Caipirinha: As tasty as the the pisco sour! Really enjoyable from the line to the slight sweetness. Empanadas: Really good from the crispy flakey crust, tender juicy and well seasoned beef, and minced carrots. The orange sauce that came with the beef empanadas had a tangy savory flavor to it. The sausage olive oil with cilantro and other bits was tasty as well. Salsa had a great chipotle flavor to it. Choriqueso: This queso is addiction. Melty goodness with bits of sausage, roasted bell peppers, and herbs… Drool. This disappeared so fast! Guacamole and chips: Nice green avocados, lime juice, diced cilantro, onions, serranos, cucumber, and tomato. It was as good as you would expect from a restaurant. Overall this was a wonderful place to hangout and have snacks. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area for amazing drinks, great service, and tasty food.

This place is a solid three. Their service is not the greatest and their food is overpriced. There is complimentary chips and salsa for all visitors. My favorite thing on the menu is the baked brie. It’s melted brie with some kind of berry jam on top It’s amazing! Additionally, they have a shrimp appetizer that is awesome. Other than that Everything is meh.
