Like many other first time parents, we took our child to an «established» chain daycare. We found that due to the larger ratio of care workers to children and the corporate side of the school, our child wasn’t getting the attention we desired. Upon searching for other options we found Katya’s. We went and interviewed and our son started there a couple weeks after. We’ve known Katya for over 5 years and our second child is attending and has been with Katya since she was 6 weeks old. Katya takes care of any dietary issues(Gluten free for us), provides musical fun, arts, multiple language studies and good learning environment. In fact, when our son has a day off of kindergarten he still asks to go see Katya.

I took both my kids to Katya from the time they were approx 1 yr old until they were 4 yrs old. They loved going to see Katya and Norma and they both learned so much. I never worried that they weren’t being well taken care of and the small ratio kept my mind at ease regarding germs and sickness. When I have my next baby, he/she will definitely be going to La Petit Ecole. I chose this in home daycare over all the facilities/churches/preschools in park cities.

I found La Petite Ecole on-line and upon researching further on the Texas Department of Protective Services, LPE has ZERO(0) violations. Not even a minor paperwork violation which I’ve seen at least once on every daycare I looked up on the website. We have visited three day cares and they either have a tuition that costs more than a mortgage, have a wait list that’s out the wazoo, or sub-par rinky dinky. Our last visit was LPE and we were skeptical at first since the others were actual facilities. Katya was very nice, personable, and informative. She is a registered, licensed, in-home childcare center that specializes in infants and toddlers. Very low class ratio, exposure to French and Spanish, hot meals, and daily activities PLUSAFFORDABLE! YAYY!!! Being a first time mommy and daddy, we wanted the best for our daughter but also affordable. Since she is young, she needs attention and her needs met which LPE definitely does. While we were doing Q&A with Katya, the baby started getting fussy and Katya offered to hold her. Within about 10 minutes, the baby was asleep sitting up in her lap. it was too cute, lol. Our sweet baby was only 3 months old when she enrolled but she always went home a happy baby and well taken care of. There are no complaints and we hope that she will continue to love LPE as she gets older and that LPE is still great. Ms. Norma, the other caregiver, is also very sweet and takes care of the children very well(I’ve only seen toddlers and two babies).Every time that I have ever picked up the baby(at various times), I can tell you that the toddlers were always engaged in a creative or mind-stimulating activity with the exception: at the very, very end of the day, they are playing. UPDATE(8÷21÷15): We are still rolling along at LPE. Adriana is the current other caregiver and our almost-2 year old loves her. Katya is still doing great things also. My daughter can count from 1 to 10(when she feels like it on a good day), figure out puzzles, knows a few French words, and a few Spanish words(and I teach her Vietnamese) and for some great reason, she doesn’t get them all confused lol! They’ve taught her how to put up her toys, clean up, etc. Baby had a bad case of constipation(TMI, sorry) for a few months and Katya helped her with it one-on-one with natural remedies. That was a huge relief cause I didn’t know what else to do. Now we are all good!
