Rate is pretty reasonable, amenity is on par with the price. Pro: walking distance to Denny’s and 7/11, which is great if you need something at 3AM. Con: It is next to the highway, so it can be noisy and the curtain doesn’t block out the sunlight as much as I like(I’m sensitive to light) Would I stay here again? Yup.

I give this 0 stars! ZERO! The room smelled of old cigarettes and air freshener! The carpet was so filthy that after 20 minutes of my niece walking around our super tiny, filthy room her feet were black! The bedding was NOT clean, and we found two dirty towels hung up for us to use! Never stay here! Never!

We stay here once a year when we come to the North Texas Irish Festival. Always clean rooms, Dennys in the parking lot and just a couple miles from the state fair grounds. Not a luxury inn, just a damned comfortable one.

I had a gal pal once who told me the story of how when she used to work as a manager in retail, she had a unique filing system. Now this particular chain of clothing stores has a certain brand or image to uphold and had fairly strict rules for hiring(these were of course unwritten, lest they get sued like they had many times before). In light of that, her filing system for potential models — I mean brand reps — was simple. There were two folders: 1) CALLBACK and 2) NSM. NSM stood for«not so much.» These applicants were unsavory for one reason or another. So wrong. But funny. Since I heard this story I absolutely love this phrase and its acronym. So, La Quinta… I award you a NSM. There is nothing wrong with the hotel itself –if you transplanted it elsewhere, it’d be fine. But the area where this particular La Quinta I location is undesirable for many reasons(read reviews below). Pass.

CHICDECOR, hahahahahaha. Sorry, Chris, but Chic is not the right way to describe this place. We stayed here during the Warrior Dash because it was halfway between Forney and Dallas. The prices were really pretty low as well, which was great. The beds that we got were full size beds, not queens, but we’re really only half a normal person’s size anyways, so it didn’t really matter. The reason why this place gets one star. Location, location, location. Seriously though, this is apparently one of the most dangerous areas in Dallas. We were offered cocaine by a FAMILY at a gas station across the street. There was a MURDER next door(thankfully I had indulged a bit and didn’t hear the racket — also, not sure if it was a murder, but police and stuff showed up in the middle of the night). I woke up the first night to a gun shot, fun. In the course of two days, we saw police at the hotel on 3 separate occasions! And the patrons apparently have no problem smoking cigarettes only in their boxers. Oh yea, they don’t sell alcohol in this county. Look for Dolphin.

I don’t know what Jamie B. is talking about — it’s a standard sized bed! I found this stay to be pretty amazing, considering room rates were about $ 80/night. The décor is very appealing and actually kind of chic, the rooms have stylish furniture and the nice bowed-out shower curtain w/sweet shower head, and the wi-fi is strong. I could only hope that every place I stay along the highway were this nice… it’s a great option.
