LAFCO

Becky V. was a bit prophetic in her review… I went to the store this weekend to repurchase a fragrance that I was out of, and the store is no longer there. Had to order online and hope it was the correct one as the store kept record and I can’t remember which one this was since the name wore off the back of the bottle and I have more than one…

Just wanted to update everyone… This store USED to be packed full of great – yes pricey – but great Santa Maria Novella products. Now they have decided to primarily just sell LAFCO and have gotten rid of all (like 98%) of the Santa Maria Novella products. Basically now all they sell is some LAFCO soaps, lotions, and candles. I honestly don’t know why they made this move – or how in this expensive shopping center they are going to pay rent with just a handful of candles and lotions… my bet is that this place – now that all of the Santa Maria Novella is gone — will be out of business within a year or so. You can buy LAFCO at many other places in the city, the place was cool because of the unique Santa Maria Novella products. I’ve looked around town some and have found a few places with a few of the Santa Maria Novella products, but nothing like the amount that this store used to have, which is a shame. I gave one star because my disappointment about the change… I just can’t get excited about some LAFCO soap and candles you can get in many places.

The soaps and creams have great fragrances and inspiring profiles. I was very impressed by the selection of imported Italian products, but at the price points on everything, a bar of Irish Spring and some Burt’s Bees are probably still in my future…

I could totally live in here! Fig me! But be prepared… your heart may stop at the prices… yikes…94 $ for lotion… I will stick with Olive Oil :-)

After a few days of driving past strip malls and buffets, passing by Highland Park Village gave me butterflies in the stomach and a boost of high energy. I always thought LAFCO and Santa Maria Novella products were limited to NYC and LA, and was so happy to see this beautiful store.
If you’re looking for ultra luxe beauty goods and delicious candles, this is a great place to shop. Try the pomegranate soap and body milk.
