Life of Riley is one of those unique novelty shops to take your mom to prove how mature and tasteful your style has become. I would know, because that’s why I took my mom. Immediately she was impressed. The shop is located in the downtown-Dallas district of Deep Ellum, and mostly offers smell goods and décor for your household. I would recommend going when the neighborhood is hosting one of its regular wine walks.(Unless your mom doesn’t drink wine, in which case my mom is cooler than your mom.) Regardless, it is a fun way to get outside and to shop the wide variety of stores in the area, of which Life of Riley is definitely a highlight.

I have gifted plenty of the same ol’ same Bath & Body Works staples and the occasional find at TJ Maxx. Rip off the clearance tag and you’ve got yourself a «one of a kind» gift that your friend doesn’t know was actually $ 1.99. Sometimes though, for that one special friend of yours, you actually want to gift something you’re proud of and spend a little bit of your booze fund on them. Life of Riley is the kind of shop you peruse and find things you never even knew you wanted. You can smell the assortment of candles and lotions, and look through inspirational books that absolutely need to be displayed on your coffee table. They have bags, bath salts, jewelry, chocolate, plates, cups, and pens. It is THE shop to waste your time at and not buy anything, and one of the few walkable stores in Deep Ellum that doesn’t sell used products. Save up some money, buy yourself a $ 10 journal at Life of Riley and never use it until you have a reason to re-gift it.

Neat little store that’s a little more polished than what you might expect. Get your grub on then take a stroll here, it’s better than dessert.

I am in love with this little shop. They have all kinds of candles including soy candles, that all smelled great. I would say it is a gift shop/home store with some furniture. I loved looking around at the coffee table books, funky reading glasses, and the lotions. I truly could have looked around for hours at every little thing. There was even a cool men’s grooming section with different shaving supplies, etc. Oh, and they were playing really funky house music which I loved. Holiday season is coming, and if you are like me, I always try to find unique gifts. This is a great place to look. It is a great addition to Deep Ellum and it was fun to walk through on a Saturday evening. We will be back.

What a great shop in deep Ellum with a super nice staff and very clean and organized shop. From candles, books, art, lotion, nicnacs, journals, shave kits, that would make great gifts for all ages. Me and my girlfriend visited one Saturday evening and loved the place. She loved the place and bought a lotion and journal. I am a love of uniqueness and found small painted round seed shaped happy faces that said plant a seed of smile with some one so I bought 6 to use in my ministry. Music was also eclectic and brought a good vibe! Cant wait for my next trip back.

Stopped by this shop on a wine walk and was so happy to find a cute boutique store in Deep Ellum. I’d recommend this place for a gift, as they have an array of candles and books that would make great additions to someone’s home. I think this store is in its beginning stages so I recommend stopping by and checking it out!
