It was late at night and at first, we had a difficult time trying to find this place. We heard the music before anything else. When we got in front of Bistro 31(they’re both connected), the manager/owner(?) greeted us and told the bar was actually upstairs. He led the way and told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. On our way up, I had to take a picture of the outdoor patio because the décor was that beautiful. We came looking for this place based on a list of best bloody mary’s in Dallas. When we asked the waitress, she said that the bar didn’t serve it that way anymore but she’ll see what they could do. We weren’t expecting much, but it turned out to be a pretty good bloody mary! Food was pretty good, a little on the pricey end. We had the rainbow roll, stuffed jalapeño tempura, and shrimp tempera. The music was also great – it was pretty cool that the dj was female! If you’re in the area, definitely check this place out!

I have to come back for social Sunday’s! I had dinner and drinks here with my friend and it was amazing! Great vibe, great sushi, great music, great service. It was summer in Dallas… so SUPER hot! My only request… do like Scottsdale… and run promos all summer!

this place is located in ‘pinky up’ highland park village where the shops sell a t-shirt for $ 100. That being said, I am going to need for them to STEPUP their brunch game. I came for brunch today with a party of about 10 people. Now, I totally expected a snooty atmosphere(I knew where I was) BUT the food is extremely underwhelming. First off, it was very tacky that the waitress was trying to ‘advertise’ the brunch by handing out pamphlets before we even got our drinks. Some ordered coffee, some ordered $ 5 mimosas/Bellini(like myself), and another ordered OJ in a half-glass filled with ice. So sad. What’s worse than that were my whack lemon-ricotta pancakes! With NO flavor and looked like they cooked them on a dry griddle. I am only giving 3 stars due to nice location, good DJ, and the fact that they screwed up a friend’s order so they brought out a bottle of prosecco for the table. But, alas– we turned around and sAw another table having this free prosecco so I guess we weren’t that special… Do better NOW! Before people start finding out about your Sunday brunch! I don’t care how nice the font is on your menu. If you go– make sure to just Order drinks with friends around brunch time. I’m warning you. Or if you’re reading this– let me know if they change the chef! On top of all this — SLOW service. I will go back and try them out during the week. Happy hour? Maybe.

Digging the upscale vibe! Dallas needs more grown and sexy. This for sure fits the bill! It’s dark and romantic. Head on up here for a drink after dinner at the Bistro! They are sorta connected. Go with your homegirls or bring the hottie in your life. Some spots in this area tend to have a bit of a pretentious feel… but the lounge did not make me feel this way at all. I am a fan!

I love the décor and arrangement. The location is not for the timid. It’s an upscale spot. The crowd is accomodating. It reminds me of being in San Jose shops. I was pleased with the staff as well. Check em’ out!

I absolutely love the big eye tuna. The quality is wonderful and it just melts in your mouth. I also love the Black Sea salt they sprinkle on. I really like the setup and décor here. Even when you’re inside it sorta still feels like your outside and they open up part of the rooftop on the patio.

Though the food was hit or miss and the service underwhelming, the location and breezy, open-air ambiance made Lounge 31 a destination worth revisiting. I believe this trendy, well-designed spot deserves another chance. When the food was right, it was really right. Starting with dessert, the gelato-sandwiches and the chocolate mousse were soooo good. The bruschetta trio was beautiful, and were several of the brunch items, such as the lobster tempura plate and the crab cake royale. I heard raves about the risotto. On the other hand, my bistro omelet was just average, and the lemon-ricotta pancakes were… missing? It would have filled a small child, I imagine, but my friend with that breakfast left pretty hungry. And our server… from the clearing of saucers when the coffee cups were in our hands, to the half-full cups which we had to ask for(and wait for) each and every time, to her blasé, straight-faced indifference, left m-u-c-h to be desired. I’m willing to return someday, however, for the nice atmosphere and those smart and crisp bar drinks. I had the Kir 31 with cassis. Tasty.

Lounge 31WAS my favorite lounge in Dallas. However, after my most recent visit I will not being going back. I went with a couple of friends, one of whom was visiting from out of town, and I wanted her to experience my favorite lounge in Dallas. When we got our table we were asked by our waitress, Rik, for a card to hold our tab. Long story short, Rik, ended up losing my credit card. But that wasn’t the most disappointing aspect of it. We had three separate tabs, and instead of communicating to us what was going on, she avoided our table when we asked for our tab to leave. I had to get up and go find her and ask her for my card and our change, at which she immediately handed me server books that didn’t belong to our table. I asked to speak to the manager on duty that night, Jake, who was too concerned with arranging chairs for a crowd that wasn’t even at their lounge. Although arranging his chairs was of utmost importance he was finally able to separate himself to tell me they lost my card and didn’t know where it was. During the whole process, Rik, our waitress tried to give me someone else’s credit card not once, but twice! I could’ve had a great shopping spree the next day on someone else’s credit! And who knows what drinks were being charged to these people’s tabs. They finally found my card, after I went through the hassle of canceling it. The whole incident was handled EXTREMELY poorly, and without the professionalism I would expect from a Lombardi business. I definitely will not be coming back, and will advise my friends and colleagues to avoid this place.

Very sheik and nice place for a drink. Great ambiance but drinks are a little pricey. I suggest they should offer some kind of SMU promotional discount, just saying ;)

One word: LOVE. This is one of my new favorite spots in Dallas. I can’t believe it took me so long to check out Lounge 31. What a hidden gem! It’s hard to describe the ambience of this place. It kind-of reminds me of some of the establishments I visit when I’m in Santa Barbara for work. Also, if you are fan of Toulouse, Taverna or any of the Lombardi concepts around Dallas, you’ll like the upscale atmosphere here because both the Lounge and the Bistro are owned by the same people. Of course, Lounge 31 is in the middle of Highland Park Village, so you’re going to get a typical«pretentious» HP crowd; but ironically enough, everyone is super nice and very laid back here which is such a breath of fresh air in Dallas. The bartender, Steve, is a hoot! He’s quite attentive and makes you feel very welcome, and not to mention, he’s hilarious. Let me just say… This is some of the best people-watching in all of Dallas. When you come here, there is no way you can’t have a good time. If you’re bored, just watch what’s going on around you, because it’s probably more interesting than your life anyway haha.

This is Dallas at its best. The presumptiousness aside I love the way this place FEELS. Everybody here is really nice, the drinks are good and strong(my favorite combination) and the ambiance, like I’ve mentioned is above reproach. You can select areas that are more quiet than others depending on your mood. A little something for everyone. We went on a Friday, entered through the side, and left early Saturday morning. Casual, laid-back, worth a visit! It was a really fun time and we are going to be coming here more often!

Want to experience something upscale and memorable at the same time? Come here. This exclusive and beautiful lounge bar will remind of you of that amazing vacation you took. Their are good drinks, and their are Good drinks. At Lounge 31, it’s the latter. Order the French 75 to start. Ask about their appetizers. You will not be dissapointed. Keep in mind, this is in Highland Park village, our precious mecca gem of fashion, elegance and style. So please, keep that image. Additionally, this is a legit spot for a first date. Gentlemen, She won’t forget you, or this place. Trust me.

My friend wanted to hit up a champagne bar in Dallas, so I searched online and found this spot. At first, I was a little apprehensive because Highland Village has a reputation of uppity people. However, I was wrong and loved the area and this bar. We were gracefully delivered to the bar area by a handsome Latin man. We were served by Megan who was super nice and knew exactly what we wanted. I had the Sangria with berries and another with peach. YUM! The whether was beautiful and the aurora was on point. This is now our new go-to spot and with the half off appetizer this is budget friendly too! Come early because it gets a little packed.

I. love. this. place — definitely my new favorite hangout in Dallas! The lounge is located above Bistro 31 and is a great little getaway. You enter around the side though… just follow the sound of people having fun. Once you get upstairs there are 3 different spaces to choose from. We chose the quiet one on the left and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The décor is beautiful, the service is good, happy hour is offered on Saturdays and the champagne cocktails were delicious! I will definitely be back… many, many times!

This place has an awesome feel and feels more like you are on vacation somewhere in California(maybe Santa Barbara or La Jolla) then in the middle of Dallas. I can’t really explain why, partially in the the colors, partially the tiling or the stairs, it just comes together really well. The bartender was great and we had a fun time. We were there early and it was more casual and laid back. I have heard it gets crowded and becomes more of a seen later in the night, but I haven’t been for that.

My wife went around 9:00PM on Saturday night just to have a couple of drinks. This place is really nice and set up as a very cool bar. While it had a nice crowd, it was not packed. The appetizer were also awesome. We will highly recommend it.

My husband threw my 30th birthday party here and it went off w/o a hitch. I had a blast and the service and drinks were impeccable. He rented out the Champagne room which was decorated beautifully and super cozy. Our waitress and bartender were super attentive and kept everyone happy. I love Lombardi restaurants and this one is not an exception, I would totally recommend this place for a cozy drink spot with friends or a bigger celebration. The Kir 31 with elderflower is delicious and my husband said he had the best«old fashioned» he’s ever tasted. Side note: We ate dinner downstairs at Bistro 31 and it was outstanding as well.

Chic, lively and fun new spot above Highland Park Village from the Lombardi family of restaurants.. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces had comfortable seating filled with a good looking crowd. Bar bites and cocktail menu fit the bill. We will be back.
