Was assisted by Aian in the fan department. To say that he was knowledgable, eager to help and had a great attitude would be an understatement. My husband hated Lowe’s because of our old location off Lemmon, but we’ll be back to this one because of Aian. He changed our mind!

I just dont care for these types of home-improvement stores. I do not find the prices better then other alternatives and the service is fair at best. This particle store is ho-hum and does not evoke«I will return feeling»

Today I was in the area of Lowes(West Plano) location and needed a Dewalt Plate Joiner for a project I’m working on this coming week. I’d read that Lowes will match prices with Amazon for exact same products. I found the Dewalt biscuit joiner after searching for some time — there was no employee available in the tool area. Lowe’s price was $ 199. I took the joiner to the Customer Service desk and showed the cashier Amazon’s price of $ 161.67. She told me «Lowes will only match prices of other box stores.» I asked to speak to a manager and a woman came out of the little office behind the cashier. After explaining the situation, the woman — who represented herself as a «Manager,» told me the same thing«Lowes only matches prices of other box stores.» At that point I simply brought up the«Prime Now» app on my phone and ordered the Dewalt joiner. Less than 3 hours later, the exact same planer I’d seen at Lowes was delivered to my house for $ 38(20%) less than Lowes wanted for it. Despite what Lowes might say about matching prices, if a Manager doesn’t want to do it, you’re out of luck. Amazon has once again demonstrated it should be the ‘go-to’ for tools and many other things too, for that matter. Why should I get in the car, drive to Lowes, deal with unhelpful employees and crowds when I can simply click«order» on the Prime Now or regular Amazon site and have the item delivered to my home within hours for less money? This is a no-brainer.

We went to this store to see about purchased installed tile in our two upstairs bathrooms. While we had a nice salesman to assist us it subsequently turned into a nightmare. We were told there would be a $ 35 charge for an estimate and a $ 16EP fee to access for lead paint and the house was built before 1978. A few day later the«estimator» showed up and measured the bathroom. He was there about 5 – 10 minutes. HG stated he could not provide an estimate as that would have to come from Lowes. Two days later I receive a call from a person name«Ray» who left a message on our recorder that the estimate was ready for out=r tile work. I called back and got some very weird answers. I kept questioning«Ray» about the charge and he was nto at all happy and in fact hung up on me after I ask could I come to the store and discuss those charges. The labor amount to just less then $ 1000 plus the cost of the selected tile. we had not yet selected a tile. A day later I went to the store and talked with my original salesman. He then provide me a copy of the estimate which was somewhat different than«Ray» had advised over the phone. Grout sealer was estimated to be $ 13.94 and a whopping $ 136.50 to install. If you have ever installed any tile work then you immediately know that $ 136.50 for 67 square feet of tile is a ridiculous charge for sealing labor. Then there was $ 19. 84 to remove the carpet and haul away. There was $ 48.00 for«lab Inst Concrete Level». Now we are using a «hardy board» and they need filler to level the board they are installing. Then there is that charge of «Basic Labor Tile-up To 200 Sq» PLUS $ 109.50 for«Lab Instal Tile-Additional work».Give me a break. These charges could not be explained to me by a Lowes employee. It appears this third party installer has added all of these«extras». The total charge would have been between $ 1300.00 and $ 1500.00 depending upon the tile selected. What is most disturbing is that I was lied to more than once. this is totally Lowe’s responsibility when they hire third party companies such as this one. I don’t think this one experience makes Lowe’s a bad estimator and/or installer, as I trust this was limited to just my experience.
