Looks like Chinese food but doesn’t taste like it at all. No flavor. The food is edible and if you compare to Instant noodles, this place is not bad. BUT as a Chinese food joint, this place shouldn’t even get a star.

Great friendly staff. their food is amazing! the female that assisted me was kinda rude in the beginning. I DEFINITELY had that problem fixed!!! Besides that, it was a friendly experience. it wasn’t crowded, due to being in the airport. I was helped in a timely manner. The place was very clean.

Not bad for fast food Chinese in an airport. I like the orange chicken over lo mein noodles. The veggie eggrolls are good and so are the prices

Decent Americanized Chinese food in a very nondescript airport food court. I ordered the Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, steamed rice, veggie egg roll and Dr. Pepper. The nice Filipino lady behind the counter offered to spoon some extra sauce over my rice, and I agreed(and thanked her for the suggestion). The food was piping hot, full of flavor, the chicken dish had a good amount of spice to it, and all the additional squash and celery really made me happy. I love Chinese with lots of veggies!!! A OK! The ice cold soda was certainly a relief…

Ate at Manchu Wok during my layover in Dallas. The lo mein was bland, the vegetables tasted like it came out of the microwave, and the green beans had no flavor. My expectations were at least that of other fast food Chinese food chains, but this didn’t reach that level. At least the staff wasn’t rude and it wasn’t too expensive for eating at the airport.

Has anyone experience their credit/debit card compromised by this location? I was at DFW on a layover on Aug. 12 and used my card only once to buy food here. I started to notice random charges the next day in my back account; twenty-one in total and almost $ 800 later. I remember not getting a receipt for my purchase and wonder if this place had anything to do with it since it was the only place I used my card. Anyone ever experience this? By the way, I give the food a C+. Please contact me if you want to share any information; . Thanks.

Im not sure why they call it kung pao chicken and not kung poa zuchinni. Seriously, there were maybe two bites of chicken in the entrée. Thank goodness for a captive audience, right?

Wow, this was bad. I was hungry. After being fed on a daunting schedule during my most recent visit with my mother. My trip home meant freedom. Freedom to eat when I wanted and where I wanted. And more importantly, how much I wanted. Our first stop once we left Tulsa for San Francisco, was landing in Dallas. I saw a McD, I was saved. No. My fiancée wanted Manchu Wok. And with mere minutes until they would make the announcement about encouraging preboarders to think about packing their belongings, we were left with a fraction of a larger amount of time with which to make our decision. I love my future bride. I am not Scottish and have no claim to choose MacDonald’s. As she is not Chinese, I pointed out she has no right to claim Manchu Wok. We let a stranger decide for us. This prophet spoke plainly and with finality, «well, aint she Asian?» She smiled, knowing she had won. She looked to him and slyly muttered kamsahamnida. I muttered that I wanted chow mien… and something with some grilled chicken! She left to order. I stayed behind with the bags. When we deboarded the plane, my luggage whispered to me, «I don’t want to die in Texas.» I felt I owed it my protection. Gia’s bags whispered something, but I was distracted by the sound of sweet, sweet french fries frying just a few feet away. Along with the food, she returned with a glowing smile of elitism that let me know she had won. Then we dined. I don’t know what she ordered. There was a brown noodley concoction that will for all intents and purposes be referred to as chow mein. It was mushy, flavorless and couldn’t be saved even by 2 spicy mustard packages. That is all I know of the chow mein. The chicken was a lie. It was really a piece of crispy dough. It tasted okay, but it was no chicken. I imagine calling this ball of fried dough would be comparable to calling Marty McFly a chicken. They’d both be a lie and likely result in my rubbing my face and asking repeatedly, «did you see that? I think he took my wallet?!» This meal represented the first time we have ever agreed so strongly on a perfectly awful meal. Well, it’s as close as we’re going to get for now. She want’s a 1 star rating. I’m giving a 2 star rating out of spite since she made me eat there in the first place. I guess the good news out of this is that I’ve remained a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and still proudly wear my Romo Jersey(mostly at home, not out in public so much). And she continues to laugh at me when I wear my Romo jersey(that she bought for me!!. she needs to hide her credit cards when she sleeps.)

I don’t think I’d go for Chinese fast food in an airport again. I got the two-entrée combo, plus a bottle of water. I got the noodles with the sweet and sour pork, and the orange chicken. First of all, the sauce was too heavy, and given all the breading and sauce that was in both the dishes, I couldn’t even taste that it was either chicken or pork that I was eating. Actually, the best part was the pineapple bits and the orange bits that was supposed to be garnish. Sure, it was cheap. But it also gave me traveler’s diarrhea, which lasted for a week. I know that I cannot be sure that this was the cause, but I have a high suspicion that it is, given the timing. I’ve learned my lesson, so I’ll steer clear of it the next time I am in an airport.

I was just at Dallas Forthworth Int airport on a layover and was pretty hungry. Found the mini food court, but like most had limited options. Mckie Ds, a taco place, few overpriced delis and manchu wok. I decided to go with manchu wok mainly for the bang for the buck. I ordered the orange chicken which they call their signature dish and beef broccoli over steamed rice. This was their 2 choice meal which cost 6.99. I have to say they were very generous with their portions. I got exactly what I wanted. It wasn’t all that oily, they had my favorite hot mustard sauce in packets which always brings back memories of me eating Chinese food growing up in Hawaii. We Hawaiians just love hot mustard on every chinese dish. It was better than Panda Express and I’d take my business here again.

What do you want from an airport fast food Chinese eatery. The food was dry and tasteless and the help were less than enthusiastic about their jobs. Plop, plop, here you go sir…

Lame selection, horrible rice, lame lo mein, chicken was more fried than chicken… But if you’re interested in adding on extra crap, it’s only 0.35. Woo! Steer clear, folks, unless your doctor has instructed you to ingest high-sodium, bland foodstuffs. (My quick tip of «good thing there’s not one at home» stands corrected… There IS one here at Sea-Tac… Buuuuuuuuut I won’t be going there.)

How did THIS place get three stars? You know, you can get some steamed veggies with brown rice, you’ll be doing okay. For this reason alone, 2 stars. But if you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to explain all that, you’re stuck with what’s in front of you: Greasy Chinese food. I guess it’s better than Micky D’s, but you can do better with«Au Bön Panne» or whatever it’s called right next door, IF you have the time. At least, I’ve never gotten sick here!

Well, I was here on a layover. But then again, isn’t everyone? I really felt like having Asian food and this was the best option. To me, this place is like the poor man’s Panda Express. The selection is very small. I wasn’t sure if that was because it was an airport location or if they are that way in general. I ordered the black pepper beef and chicken and the chow mein. The black pepper dishes were really spicy. I can’t complain because I like spicy but it didn’t taste like real Chinese food. Overall, this place is ok. Nothing special but nothing horrible. Happy woking!

I went here about 3 weeks ago on a layover. It wasn’t too bad. The Orange chicken is pretty decent, especially when there isn’t much of a choice. I didn’t necessarily care for the fried rice or chow mein, so I opted for plain white rice and Orange chicken. I also tried their chicken egg roll, it was pretty mediocre. Overall, its pretty clean and has an ok customer service. One thing I don’t like though is that the portions are wayyyy to big. I guess it’s worth the price($ 6-$ 7).but I would have preferred to pay $ 3-$ 4 for a mini meal, instead of wasting half of my meal. If I’m ever at the same terminal at the Dallas/Fortworth airport again with a friend, I’ll most likely come here again to split my meal.

Nothing cures a hangover like some dirty Chinese food. At least for me, nothing does, haha. I usually goto Panda Express but was flying to DC and had a stop in the DFW airport. I decided to give Manchu WOK a try. It looks similar to a mall Panda Express but the food is oh so different. I ordered the 2 item plate with orange chicken and sweet and sour pork. First disappointment was that they were all out of chow mein noodles and I would have to wait 30 mins for the cook to come back. BOOO!!! Fried rice it is then. The orange chicken was very orange-y, but it was breaded and deep fried like I shamelessly enjoy. The sweet and sour pork was horrible, mostly sour and not sweet. No balance to that dish. The friend rice was decent, not the best I’ve had. Overall, if you go in with low expectations and a hangover from hell… this is not a bad place. I emphasize, HANGOVER from HELL. It did the trick, calmed my hangover but made me butt ill before I got on the plane.(again, set expectations, I knew it was coming).

Why would I be here? Simply because I’m stuck on a layover waiting for my next flight, conveniently timed right after lunch. And airlines love it when they don’t have to provide a meal. More profits, more bonuses. So, out of the choices at DFW airport, Manchu Wok satisfies the cheap, fresh, and fast. You can even get away with saying«healthy,» as in, «Manchu Wok is healthy when compared to the McDonald’s next door.» I bought the three item combo, garlic green beans, orange chicken, and half lo mein, half fried rice. If you expect mall-quality food that’s uses sodium(but no added MSG) for flavouring, then you’re going to get what you expect. The green beans are edible. The orange chicken had bits of orange, lots of chicken, and even more salt. Lo Mein and Fried Rice is just«meh.» In fact, «meh» sums it up nicely. Sure, I’ll eat here again, but only after considering the other choices and the time remaining until the next flight out of the airport.

I ordered a 2 item plate, which includes 2 sides and either lo mien or fried rice. I opted for the Lo Mien. It was lightly flavored, not strong enough to make a lasting impression on me. The two sides I got were the beef & broccoli and the fresh vegetable sides. It came out to a total of $ 7.24 after tax. It’s one of the cheapest non-deep fried food options in the airport, so that’s why I went for it. I’d probably come here again, but not because I like it; just for its nutritional quality and lack of other better options in the airport.
