I’m a fan. Meats grilled to order with your choice of 2 sides. The food was served hot and the service was actually quick for meats that are grilled to order. The veggies were great. Brussel sprouts and seasonal veggies were seasoned to perfection. Great place for a quick, hot and fresh lunch.

I visited Marie Gabrielle for a breakfast meeting. The food was average, at best; however, it was super cheap — less than $ 7 for eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuit and bottomless coffee. The price and the ambiance cannot be beat. The garden is so beautiful and really made it hard for me to stay focused in my meeting! I was there for a few hours and the staff was really helpful and attentive, despite not being a full service meal. Being there so long allowed me to see them prep for lunch — and now I can’t wait to go back. Seems they have a bit of everything! Lastly, before leaving, I purchased the biggest oatmeal cookie I’ve ever seen, and it also was super cheap. I look forward to going back for lunch!

This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing, I typically get half smoked sausage, half beef brisket and then go eat it in the garden area. It’s like a little slice of Eden, well worth the search. Just go through the Rolex building and stroll through the garden to find Marie Gabrielle’s.

Sorry, but Marie Gabrielle missed the mark. Attending a wedding rehearsal dinner(for about 125 guests) with many from out-of-town, the hotel shuttle bus delivered us on an empty side street. The driver pointed towards a dark, unmarked parking garage where we all, formally-dressed, traipsed through to an elevator. If this luxurious, exclusive catering restaurant is trying to make a positive first impression on first time guests, perhaps they should consider investing in a bit of signage. There is no indication of where this restaurant is, or how one would enter it from street level. Absolutely absurd. Once inside, the large banquet-style tables were arranged end-to-end in rather tight quarters. With rain in the forecast, the outdoor dining experience was not to be this Saturday night. Not their fault, however, they simply are not prepared logistically to deal with such a large, indoor party. Very cramped spaces, electrical wires and outlet boxes snaking around tables and walking areas(both my wife & I tripped over outlets), a highly inadequate sound system(speakers only at one end of the room), and servers frantically clamoring out of the kitchen. However, all of these indiscretions could be overlooked if the quality of the food hit the mark. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Starting with a unforgettable, rather pedestrian salad, strangely served with shredded duck, the entrée was a sorrowfully small, dry slab of prime rib, an overcooked piece of salmon, and a highly undercooked potato concoction. Dessert was an over-baked, rock hard apple cobbler, albeit, with a scoop of interesting peach sorbet. Few guests ate more than a few bites of any dish, with the topic of conversation the next morning consisting of what everyone ate once they got back to the hotel… after the dinner at Marie Gabrielle’s. This was a very expensive affair that fell short in so many ways. A true lack of attention to detail in every aspect of the service is inexcusable at this level of establishment. Most guests left(hiking through that same indoor, commercial parking garage) highly disappointed. I would seriously consider another venue for a party of this size and importance.

Seriously, I can’t say it with enough conviction. Your wedding will be absolute perfection! The venue coordinator, Glenda, and her staff are 100% extraordinary. We were married there last weekend and I have gotten a million and one compliments about how beautiful the grounds are and how smoothly the entire night went. Dream wedding. Yes, it’s probably not the cheapest venue in Dallas, but it is absolutely worth the money. It includes a ceremony in the garden(picture white folding chairs standing out amongst the trees, a chandelier hanging over your head at the altar, etc), reception space either inside/outside, plated dinner of DELICIOUS chef-prepared food, open bar with wine service during dinner(you know your guests will love that), and SOMUCHMORE! This is the kind of place that when a guest left their table at dinner, someone would come by to fold their napkin and place it on the back of their chair. Just as an example, it started misting in the middle of our ceremony(that’s good luck, right?)and by the time we even said«I do», the staff had moved all the dinner tables/chairs inside before the centerpieces were ruined. Like clockwork. Everyone was extremely impressed and they made us look like rockstars. Couldn’t have asked for more! Just take a tour of the grounds and I promise you’ll be hooked. Best. Wedding. Ever.

We went to a wedding at Marie Gabrielle and it was stunning. The location is so beautiful and made an amazing backdrop for photos. The food was delicious too! Everyone kept commenting that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. Parking was also super convenient. It was a wonderful night. If you are looking for a place to hold your celebration, I highly recommend this location.

In a building, not a stand alone restaurant. There is a sit down section by most order food from staff cafeteria style. High end cafeteria. Leather chairs wooden tables. Made to order salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, soup, chicken, fish, steak. Very good would come back. Business lunch atmosphere.

Marie Gabrielle Restaurant is so fancy without the fancy prices. I took my department there for lunch and everyone was very impressed with the ambiance both inside and out. The décor, table settings, and even the menu had a very rich, luxurious feel. All seven of us ate a different dish and everyone was extremely happy with their meals. Unfortunately, it was raining and very windy so we had to eat inside, but we had a table near the large retractable windows so we could still enjoy the view of the scenic gardens and pond. Another big plus was the free, underground parking. I was also surprised by the cafeteria style take out line. Everything looked delicious, including the chocolate cake. But alas, we didn’t have room for dessert. Maybe next time. I will definitely go back to Marie Gabrielle for lunch. I only wish it was open for dinner!

Elegant atmosphere, and good food. This place is situated looking out upon a quaint little water/garden area. The view is very relaxing, and fits the good ambience of the place. We had good, prompt service from the waitstaff, and they were always checking to see if we needed anything else.

Fabulous food, and a very reasonable price. I love the location in the park by the Rolex building. The gardens are fabulous. Under $ 10 for a great lunch, including tea. It’s a hidden secret, and it seems like mostly people who work in the buildings nearby or live in the neighborhood.

We attended a lovely wedding of friends here. The thing that stands out the next day is the food — no rubber chicken here. We had a delicious meal of salad, chicken, steak and berries for dessert. I was especially impressed with the breading on the chicken and a friend declared his steak the best he’s had in a while. My table had a vegetarian and someone with multiple food allergies and they were very accommodating working with both of them. The ceremony reception was lovely and pretty unexpected for the heart of Dallas. There were some street noises that crept in, but they had the ceremony well-miked, so that didn’t detract from the wedding at all. The setting was lovely among the trees and the grass. After dark the trees were all lighted with beautiful white lights. The staff were all nice and attentive — my wine glass never made it to empty. I also really appreciated being met at the door immediately after the ceremony with mojitos. Done the right way, I might add, with sugar cane in the drink. This is a wonderful venue and the wedding and reception was beautiful. One word of caution if you’re attending a wedding here: they had us walk across the grass to get to the reception. So ladies, keep the heels at home or be prepared to tip-toe/aerate the lawn getting to the ceremony.

Attended an outdoor wedding here. Beautiful venue. The trees and small ponds provided the perfect back drop. The catered food was excellent. Prime rib, crab cakes, chicken tenders, grilled zucchini, tomatoes, squash, and carrots. 2 types of pasta. They did a really great job catering. And the drinks were mixed perfectly. Would not hesitate to come back here.

I knew years prior to actually being engaged and planning a wedding that I wanted to get married at Marie Gabrielle, no doubt about it. Its the little hidden gem of downtown Dallas. The garden area is so well kept and manicured, its truly breath taking. Guest at our wedding were in awe of our venue and how perfect it was. Lisa is the AMAZING. Without her and the help of her team our big day wouldn’t have ran as perfect as it did. She made our wedding day pain free, stress free, and FUN! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue, wedding planner, or day! Thank you!

Marie Gabrielle is a beautiful place to host an event, which was the reason for my visit. The waterways, lighting, and landscaping give this venue a unique touch in the middle of a big city. The staff were very kind and courteous, making sure the event ran smoothly. The guests who attended the event also loved the atmosphere stating that it was the best cocktail party they had been to yet.

I usually go to MG’s for breakfast, and it’s not bad. If you want something healthy, they have simple things like fruit and cereal, but if you truly want a yummy breakfast, go for the breakfast burrito – it’s huge! I’ve tried MG’s a couple of times for lunch, and it’s OK, not great. A lot of weddings are held at MG’s so just imagine wedding catered food. Overall, MG’s is so-so – not great but a good option in a hurry.

My experience @ MG is only for a wedding for a great college girlfriend. To get into MG is confusing as others have indicated because MG is located inside an office building. The wedding ceremony took place in the outdoor garden which was a great mixture of earthiness and the sterile environment of a business park office space. Some water ways outline the main path and the reception was held in the restaurant itself. The staff was really on point in serving the drinks and hor d’eurves with a great smile. I know they were overwhelmed but they did it was a smile — the open bar was a great addition as was having the signature cocktails. It was a sit-down buffet and included sushi rolls, tuna steaks, seafood, and prime rib as well as fresh fruit and cheeses. I would love to return to MG as the food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond during a hectic time. I absolutely love the craziness of having this oasis in the middle of a city desert.

Marie’s is awesome. Although it tends to get pretty busy during the lunch hour rush the staff keep things moving quickly without losing the quality of the food. I was introduced to this place by co-workers and ever since then I go back regularly. Like most — ive always been there for their lunch and since im a creature of habit I always get their small salad. Everyone else has summed it up: friendly staff great selections yummy fresh food great prices

Wow, these guys aren’t stingy with the chicken. This place is now my go to place for a typical quick lunch. It’s cafeteria style, but the food is quite delish and cheap. Today I had the chicken(seriously, half of a chicken), fried okra, and creamed squash for $ 8. I INHALED all of it. It’s all gone now, and I am happy. This hidden gem is located behind the Rolex building. I really like the outdoor park/patio between the Rolex building and the cafeteria for their life size chess and checker boards. I’m probably going to have to revisit for a game or two.

Marie Gabrielle is the hidden secret of uptown Dallas. There’s no way you would ever know about it unless someone showed you, since the restaurant has no frontage and is hidden in a ritzy office building. At lunch, it’s full of uptown accountants and the like, and the line can get a bit long, especially since the options in the buffet are all so attractive(and CHEAP!) that you really find yourself wondering how you can pick just one. For dinner, the buffet vanishes and the atmosphere gets much more upscale — with food to match. This is a restaurant that’s affordable for pretty much anyone at lunch(and you’ll get a much more delicious meal for about $ 7 than you would at Subway for $ 5 or anywhere else for that matter). For dinner, it’s a little more pricey, but due to its status as a hidden secret of uptown(rather than a big-name big-bucks place), it won’t break your bank for a special evening. The garden(with outdoor seating if the weather is right) is a delightful oasis in the middle of urban Dallas, and at night it’s magical. I know some people who might kill me for revealing their favorite secret, but you Unilocalers have been so helpful to me in finding great new restaurants that I figured I should return the favor. Enjoy!
