Really neat experience. Definite recommend and I plan to return with my family. The staff there were simply wonderful to work with– polite, patient, educational, and fun. Very cool vibe there with the music and general good nature of not just the staff but the other customers as well. It’s really something to make your first glass piece; I made a bowl while my wife made a really neat pumpkin, and our daughter also made a neat bowl. Enjoy a very interesting couple of hours doing something completely new and fun! Neil Reid Dallas, Tx.

Our teachers were easy going. I felt like I was in a friends studio learning about their craft. My piece will probably not be perfect, but that is not the point. My family and I had fun and we want to go again. Maybe there is a budding glass blower in the bunch!

thoroughly enjoyed the glass blowing class. We choose to make mugs, at an upgraded price, and it was completely worth it. I would suggest bringing ice cold water.

What an amazing class! So informative! So interesting! Aaron and Ethan made learning the process of glassblowing exciting. Due to the ovens it is hot… but of course that’s just part of it. We were able to choose which item we wanted to make and what colors we wanted. If you like to try new things, go for it!

Givem the high reviews I fell im the novice trap. Watch a video of otjer classes before you go. And if you exoect a centerpiece for your house fotget about quality. You pay for what you get. The low price of the Groupon made it lool like a deal but uf you teally are into art pay more and go elsewhere. Here is why. 1. Hard to schedule. Works only on Sunday. His wife tells me can you come at 11 on a Wednesday. I work tonpay the ridiculous price for two people. No. They dont work every work day week. Only certain days. Aaron responded to my email about a week later saying sorry you need to call to schedule. I called and all the evming times are gone. Same for weekends. 2. You are rushed = only 30 minutes. 42 dollarals for 0.5 hour steep price and no available hours. 3. The product is low quality. The opening of the vades looks cut on a lot of them. Look online he skips many steps needed to shaoe an opening wider and properly. 4.The cool choice require an upcahrge of 50 dollars. Hidden cost. All the shapes are regular. If you are happy with omly choosing colors great. 5. TJ max has better glass art for 20 dollars. 6. You cannot do much due to safety. It is really really hot. Do not waste your money. Watch a youtube video and buy a nice piece or find a better teacher.

Unprofessional and low quality. My friend thought I bought. The vase from Walmart. The top is exremely uneven. They were unresponsive for a long time when I called to try to schedule. Everything was booked and a lot of days they just don’t work. This is an entrrtainmnet event and most people qork none to five so they should expand their jours butvthey say sorry the Groupon is ending soon and they were overbooked. Upcharge for chapes other than circles. The paperweights are cool but not too useful.

I ordered on groupon, to visit and make a piece of glass, I paid instantly 42 dollars, mr tate and his helper were helpful, however picking up the piece is a different story. he has many items that are not retrieved and he is limited on when he is available for pick up. he does not answer calls or texts on the day I was in the area. I ask to have the piece mailed to me and as of now this has not happened. while eager to accept the hes not so swift on the follow through. real disappointment, poor business

Really fun experience! They know their stuff! We had a great time, and they are all very helpful. When you use their Groupon, you can make a bowl, a vase, or a paperweight. Should you want bigger and better, you can upgrade when you get there, for a fee. We had a great time! This was my 2nd time there, and the 2nd time was even better than the first — now that I knew what to expect.

This was a fun experience with a group of women, creating our very own piece of blown glass. It’s extremely hot in there so be prepared but definitely go do this!

There is three things requested sunglasses, tennis shoes, are closed in shoes and long sleeve shirt. I suggest u have the shoes and shirt not so much the sunglasses. The men are great and very helpful. The whole process is really cook to experience I would highly recommend it I say if you are able to spend a little more money then the bowl is the ticket.

I bought a Groupon to check out glass blowing so I signed me and three friends up. They gave us the option of what we wanted to make(I chose a bowl) and then you choose your own colors(I chose green and yellow). You work with the staff who explains the process and gives you the opportunity to heat the glass. All the while they talk through the process and what is happening. One of the last steps is when you shape the glass into the object that you want and you get to blow the air into the piece… with the bowl I even got to suck the air back out. It was all very interesting. I could tell the staff really enjoyed what they were doing and that it was a passion. Seeing people do what they love and share that with others is so amazing to me. Only recommendation I have is go when it’s cooler outside. Never would I think I would say that a 100 degree Texas day was cool until you step inside and it’s 125 degrees from the ovens to heat the glass. It’s tolerable but the cooler outside the more comfortable it would have been. Bring cold water(it is BYOB if that’s your preference), and stay hydrated.

WOW! I bought a groupon with a friend to take a glass-blowing workshop. It was so much fun and very informative. Aaron allows you to be as involved as possible without compromising the end product. Not only do you have an unforgettable experience, but you get to take home the project. I created a garden globe and my friend created a bowl. For a little extra money, you can create something more ornate. GREATEXPERIENCE! I would recommend it to anyone.

My girlfriend actually signed me up for a glass blowing glass here… with me dragging my feet the whole way. Some crap she got on Groupon. It actually turned out to be an incredible experience and very personal. I recommend getting Aaron Tate as your instructor. He’s a great teacher and works with everyone 1 on 1. It’s a great deal.

Got a Groupon to try glass blowing at Marrs with Aaron Tate. It was super fun! We were offered a choice of several objects to make, like paper weight, vase, Xmas tree ornament … We chose to make a bowl. With help from Aaron and his assistant we got to participate a bit and benefit from their help to make two beautiful bowls. We got to pick our own colors. They also answered our questions along the way helping us to understand the process. So left the studio with excitement of two gorgeous glass bowls(have to let the bowls sit for a day to slowly cool in a special container) and new knowledge. Want to go back to do more. Maybe make one of a kind presents for family and friends. Highly recommend this to everyone from kids to adults.

HOWFUN! My co-workers and i went here with a Groupon and Aaron rocks. We had a quick walk through of the place and what we would each be doing. The basic items you can choose to make are selective — a vase, a bowl, a Christmas ornament, a drinking glass or a garden orb. I chose a bowl(practical me) and my co-workers all chose to make individual garden orbs. First thing first, picking our colors. So true to being an ‘artiste” logistical details are bypassed for the need to be artistically detailed oriented. We were so excited about picking colors from the color wheel only to learn that our color options were much more limited. But nothing worthy of bursting our bubble. Since there was 4 of us, we seemed to piggy bank off each other in terms of creativity. With each person, Aaron and the other gentleman helping us, gave us 1 – 2 more tidbits on things we could do/add. We were able to pick and melt our colors in, blow our own projects… I wish he had told us all the options from the beginning so each person knew all their options… but really, all you have to do is ask… and understand that there is no limit to the questions. When Aaron says you can do anything on the example table, you can do anything… from adding texture, swirling your colors, adding the«crazy strings»… feel free to ask because you may not be told. After all was done… and we were huffed and puffed out, we had to wait 24 hours to pick up our beautiful pieces. Additional pluses about this place — you can do your own BYOB party since they have tables in the back and it really don’t get old because you can’t make the same piece twice

I bought a Groupon for a glass blowing workshop with Aaron Tate, who works out of this store. It was fantastic. I went with one of the choices that was included in the workshop — a simple bowl. I was able to choose my colors from what seemed like unending options and the guys who worked there were very helpful with showing me samples and saying what would and wouldn’t work. Other options included simple vases, paperweights or glass balls. My boyfriend opted to pay additional and make a decanter. After a quick overview of the process, they led us through making it from start to finish. I was able to apply the color, rotate it within the heat and actually blow it myself. They did all the shaping, but I truly was a part of making my very own hand blown piece. We’re both very pleased with how our pieces turned out and the fact that we had a hand in making and designing them makes them truly prized possessions. While there we looked around their showroom and loved their work and felt that they were extremely fairly priced. I also notice on their website that Aaron offers longer classes aside from the Groupon deal. Their hours can vary and they definitely stressed that you should call before you come to make sure that someone is working.
