I have three kiddos who attend Mathnasium, one because he truly needs math support and the other two because they simply enjoy math and Mathnasium. And I just like an activity where I can have all three kids in one place at one time. Mathnasium gets five stars for several reasons. 1) I appreciate the low student instructor ratio. My kids really get individual attention that is based on their individual abilities. 2) Valerie really gets my children. They’re quirky and ADHD, but she somehow manages to keep them engaged and on task. 3) The instructors are gentle and kind. Math can be very intimidating for children who struggle with it, and the instructors are patient but persistent without making children feel stupid or inept. 4) The owner, Elizabeth, can’t be more accommodating. Hours are flexible. Kids can be there as often as they need. They can tailor a kid’s studies to what’s going on at school or what might be missing from a kid’s school curriculum in preparation for standardized tests. There are great private tutors in Dallas, but if you can’t find one that works with your schedule, I HIGHLY recommend Mathnasium!

WOW! Feeling COMPLETELYRIPPEDOFF!!! Please be careful when using this company. While I believe my child benefited from their tutors, I DESPISE the way they handle the business side of things — so much so that I cannot recommend them. We used their services in preparation for a standardized test. My understanding was that it was month to month, so we stopped after the test was done. READTHEFINEPRINT –(my mistake) — as the paper work was NOT. #SneakyMove #NotBeingHonest … The switch-a-roo was to a 6 month contract — 2 months extra after test ended. #BOO #BadBusiness The program is prohibitively EXPENSIVE — especially when you pay for 2 months of services you will not use.
