Damn! I just got home from this place, and already I wanna go back. The Brisket is great, and the deep fried corn is awesome. The smoked beef sausage is really good, and the jalapeño Mac n cheese is killer. I will be back.

I am totally screwed!!! Why did I come here??? I did so well on my no-meat diet for awhile and after visiting here, don’t think I can live without it. Btw, try their baked beans! Amazing!!!

Came to Texas from NYC and wanted to try some good bbq. After finding out that a bbq place I wanted to go to(that was famous for their amazing food) was closed for the day I decided to try out off the bone. I got the chopped brisket sandwich and it was delicious! Their homemade barbecue sauce was so tasty, would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite to eat — there was no line and the food was served quickly!

Holy shit… pardon my language… this place is great. The brisket is up there with salt lick bbq. It was soo good. Perfectly tender and the smoke flavor was to die for… why cant bbq be like this in California… The ribs where also great the sweet honey was a nice add to the flavor… And it end the meal with the best peach cobbler i have ever had and probably will have… This place should be the number 1 in dallas…

God help me where do I start? This place has got to be the best bbq I have had in Dallas, hands down. The brisket, charro beans and Mac are to die for. This place will whoop your ass as far as the food goes! I don’t think I need to tell you anymore so just get your indecisive ass in here and eat. I assure you that you will not regret!

Baked beans great. Potatoes salad average. Brisket decent. Pork ribs… god awful! Seriously, my stomach is sending warning signs and I can’t get the taste out of my mouth! It’s like there’s a quart of motor oil sloshing around in my stomach. Maybe they were going bad? Not sure. The service is good and the place is clean. Would go again… but NOT for the ribs.

I’m on a mission to find the best BBQ in Dallas and will be hitting up all the highly reviewed places. Off the bone was my first stop(a friend suggested it) upon arrival I was pleasantly shocked at how clean the place was, this isn’t something BBQ joints are known for. The lady at the counter seemed a little clueless on the menu as well as what we ordered. We ordered two plates with two meats for each plate however when we got the plates only one had two meats, when I went back to the counter the lady said she didn’t charge us for ribs on the other plate. We had already spent forty bucks on 2 plates and 2 drinks and now we had to pay additional money to add ribs to the other plate, didn’t seem right to me. However, the taste of the food made up for the poor service. We ordered ribs, chicken, sausage, beans, potato salad and pickles. Ribs– they were really good/juicy/saucy Chicken– wasn’t the best I’ve had/probably wouldn’t order it again Sausage– I like it and it taste great with the BBQ sauce/only issue was some pieces were too soft Beans– by far the best best baked beans I have ever had/they have a unique spice to them Potato salad– I love traditional potato salad and this did not disappoint Pickles– pickles go with BBQ just like BBQ sauce does I meant these pickles because they literally leave you begging for more/spicy but yet sweet/ya’ll need to sell them by the jar Will be returning and recommending this place to many. Follow me as I continue my mission.

The food is actually very good. However, the portions are small and the service is the WORST. The first time I went, they forgot my Mac N Cheese and I had to remind them TWICE to get my small side order of Mac N Cheese. The second time I ordered 6lbs to go for my Mother’s Day family weekend. I had been driving for about 5 minutes when I got a call. «Sir, we forgot to add a whole container of food to your to go order.» I was FURIOUS. The girl apologized as I got my remaining food and walked out. Today, we got a to go order. We waited around 30 minutes for our to go order. He ordered a chopped beef sandwich, baked beans, and Mac n cheese. I ordered sausage, chopped beef, mac n cheese, and baked beans. Was it correct? No. Instead of chopped beef, we got sliced. Is it a huge difference? Not really. But when you and your partner works ALL day, pay $ 30 plus tip, and wait a minimum of 30 minutes, you expect to have the order exactly as you wanted it. We will not be back. The food is delicious but the service is the worst I have ever experienced.

What a great way to start our trip to Dallas! California has some BBQ places that we visit just to get our BBQ fix. However this place is probably the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. The staff was friendly and always asked us what they could do to help. If that was not reason to come the ribs and brisket are as good as it gets. Make sure you bring your bib!

I have a lot of reviews to catch up on, so let’s get it started. This place is TERRIBLE. I’m trying to figure out what to compare their baked potato to, but I’m at a loss for words as much as they are at a loss for flavor. To start, the baked potato tasted and had the texture of a microwaved potato. The chopped beef on top had zero smoke in it. It was just a flavorless something that seemed machine cut versus chopped like you’d get at various hood BBQ places. I was also disappointed with the size compared to the price and the quality of BBQ sauce. I’m not sure if everyone else is just eating ribs and they are the bomb, but this potato left me saying WTF? Also, why are there fresh sliced jalapenos on there? For why? It does not match the flavor profile or the texture profile of what is going on. I honestly did not even bothering to finish the meal and I was grateful that no one asked me how the food was because I couldn’t sit there and tell a bold-faced lie. That ish was TERRIBLE. PS, where is their smoker? When I think about it, I don’t recall seeing anything.

5 stars on the baby back ribs! The sides were just okay. Also, they only have one sauce option and it is sweet. Since they are a BBQ place, it would be good if they had a few sauces to cater to different appetites. They provided me with some spicy salsa verde to mix with the sauce to make it more spicy. I will be going back strictly for the ribs and will have my own sauce in tow next time. The ribs and customer service are good enough for this review to be 4 stars

Delicious food! Great service and atmosphere. We walked from downtown area. The ribs and baked beans were incredible! The service was quick and very pleasant. The restaurant it self is very interesting, lots to look at and talk about around the room. Very clean and all around a grey experience.

Ok I had to change my mind on this place. My first visit was not that great I wanted to take the food back there and throw it at them. My first visit was shortly after they opened a couple years ago. I was convinced to go back again which was November 2015 I ordered 2 meat plate which was beef and rib. This time they stepped up the game the food was great the meat was moist and tasteful just the right amount of smoke the sauce was great with the food sides we even great. So I been back a few more times and I haven’t been disappointed. I just tried the rib tacos and they were awesome I hate it I only got 2.

Being from Stockton, CA, I wanted to have some BBQ while in Texas. Am i glad that I did! This place is delicious! Makes you appreciate the art of BBQ and what it can be when done perfectly! We ended up here a little before noon and ended up beating the busy lunch crowd. We ordered the Brisket and the Ribs… The owner can go by without providing a knife for your meal because this stuff is so tender it is melt-in-your-mouth, fall off the bone kinda food. The Brisket was so tender, already flavorfull but adding a little splash of bbq puts it over the top good! The ribs were fall off the bone and does not need any sauce what so ever! The seasoning is nice and potent with flavor! The Slaw was different than what I’m used to. It is not the sweet slaw that I was thinking. It is a blue cheese slaw, nice and savory. The flavor was very unique and absolutley loved it with the meat selections. The beans were sweet and had just the right amount of sauce with them.

As a Las Vegas native, I thought I did not like BBQ and was not excited to go to a rib place on my last day in Texas. I was wrong… This is hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had and the portions were amazing. I am very happy I got to enjoy this amazing meal before I left town. Service– 5 stars. The guy who took our order was super cool and nice. Helped describe the menu and allowed me to make a great choice. Food– 5 stars. As I said, best BBQ food I’ve had. Portions– Average to above average. Good portions, but I sure wish I was served more Mac n Cheese cause that was great!

Wow. Just wow. A group of coworkers and I came here after a work retreat. As we walked up, we could smell the smoke and spices from a block away. Holy smokes. So good. I’m so full I can’t think clearly. They were VERY accommodating with my large group. One of our group wanted to watch a specific NCAA game, and they changed the channel for him and let us push a bunch of tables together. Great Service aside, the food was so amazing. Ribs falling of the bone. Sauce a perfect balance of tang and spice and sweet. The brisket so tender. And the baked beans were something else. And the fries are really good too. And don’t forget the sweet tea!

This is some d*mn good BBQ. I’m from the Deep South, so I have my own take on how BBQ is supposed to taste(and Texas ain’t the south– sorry, y’all). But Off The Bone… I’m feelin’ you, boo. Your smoked brisket was the , Your pork, Lawd Jesus, are you my mom? Your loaded fries went STRAIGHT to my butt, But man was it worth that extra added gut, Your potato salad was on point and creamy, Like a Justin Bieber, you’re all fresh and dreamy, Your baked beans could almost rival my dad’s, Traditional and tasty, yet spicy and rad, And writing this poem makes my diet want to crack, So eff it, y’all, I’m headed back. The End.

Reviews talk highly of this place. I have not had much Texas bbq being that I am from St. Louis but I do know that Texas has some of the best bbq in the US. Me and my friends picked up a variety of items from this place for lunch. Honestly, being honest not brutal nothing stood out. The ribs did fall off the bone but lack flavor and depth. Same for the brisket and even the sides. How can you not have flavorful sides from slaw to potato salad to even the spicy beans? I still ate the food but I wasn’t impressed. What I was impressed by was the customer service and hospitality. The cashier was on point with answers for all my questions and was quite amusing to talk to. He loves working his job and that helps sell. When leaving the place a cook who was taking out trash was talking to us, super friendly saying we could order bulk from this place to shift back to St. Louis if we loved the food. Now that right there is awesome, everyone at the same establishment believing and loving what they do so they can sell it at any place or anytime. This review gets 3 stars just base on the service. dp

The fam & I needed to find delicious BBQ that didn’t accompany a 5+ hour wait like Pecan Lodge… don’t get me wrong, love the P.L., but yeah. We were exhausted from the aquarium and needed our grub ASAP. Totally recommend Off the Bone! Took roughly 10 minutes to get our food out which is impressive considering we came with a party 10+ people deep. We tried everything here– from ribs to chicken to sausage… even the peach cobbler(amazing). Great service too; you’re in good company.

Best barbecue in Dallas. You will not be disappointed. The food here was so good, I want to go back to Dallas just to eat here again. The people there was really nice and helpful when ordering. When I got to Dallas all I wanted was some great ribs. And I got that and more. Great place to eat and hang out with friends for a quick cheap but great meal!!!
