Got a Groupon for this place and my lady did a good job on my nails. She noticed a shellac piece had moved a bit and did her best to correct it, telling me that if I didn’t like it she would redo the nail. This place is located INSIDE the J’s Salon group of shops and you walk straight down a hallway to get to the door on the left. I couldn’t find the place and called a few times before I got an answer directing me where to go. There are only two chairs, it’s a very small owned shop. I didn’t like how I had to hold my hand steady and up for her while she worked on my nails because it made my arms a bit sore. I also think the gel didn’t come out as well because we didn’t have a hard surface to rest my hands on. I think if there was a table for the manicures then it’d be easier both on the nail tech and myself. I would not recommend unless there’s a good deal. It’s small, but I didn’t get a creepy vibe at all, like some of the other reviews suggested.

It is with a heavy heart that I give Elegance a one star review, but based on my experience I cannot justify returning. OK. Dramatics aside, I’m bummed out because the nail tech, Jamie, is a total sweetheart and did her best to do a good job, but she had neither the technical skill nor the tools. I made an appointment, which took three phone calls to book and confirm, for fill. I have gel nails and Jamie did not have gel powder, so she had to use a clear acrylic. This left my nails uncomfortably thick with ridges. I asked to have my nails filed shorter, and, since the salon did not have a nail gun, poor Jamie spent nearly 45 minutes filing my nails. Beyond the lack of tools, I had the sense that Jamie is a bit inexperienced because she asked my approval at nearly every step. The whole process took about an hour and a half(about twice and long as my typical fill), but Jamie was positive and did her best to be helpful. Prices were not listed in the salon or discussed prior to the end of the service, but luckily the fill was only $ 10. Admittedly, I am picky, but the length and shape of each nail is inconsistent. I will be getting them all soaked off and a new full set as soon as possible.

I bought a groupon for this, thinking it would be your standard nail salon. That is not the case at all. The«salon» is located in a big building with about 50 other suites that people rent out for their business. When I got to the suite for Pampering, it was a room about the size of my closet with two chairs. Cande was not there, but her nail technician(never introduced herself) was. Even with the strange surroundings, I remained optimistic. First there was the bucket of water. Yes, a metal bucket. It was painted blue, but come on… invest in one of those feet bath things. You can buy them at Target. Then, as the nail tech started working on my feet, I noticed she didn’t have gloves on. After the horror stories you hear about nail fungus and feet issues resulting from unsanitary salons, this was far from acceptable. The actual process of the pedicure was incredibly underwhelming. The massage was anything but, she didn’t shape the nails, she pummaced my feet for MAYBE a minute, and even the paint isn’t evenly thick in all places. I had the same experience with my hands, and she didn’t even touch my cuticles. Basically, I could have given myself a better mani/pedi. Maybe Cande offers a better experience, but I will never be returning here to find out. If it hadn’t been a Groupon, I wouldn’t have paid.

Cande is super sweet and did a great job on my nails. She took her time and didn’t rush any part of the service. You can ask for wine, too! Yes, she does use a bucket and the chair does not give you a massage, but it does recline and is very comfortable. Besides, you get a massage on both your hands and legs for the mani-pedi. This isn’t a typical salon. It is located in a bigger building which has suites for individual owners. So basically it is a relaxing one-on-one with the owner, not a big, loud, business that reeks of acrylics.

This was the most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had in a nail salon. I use the word salon loosely. has no massage chair has the technician put my feet in a bucket for my pedicure. Filed my nail unevenly for my manicure. It’s not worth spending and money on. No more Groupons
